Eighteen Again (2020)

I don't think the problem with this series was that there was a big age difference. Because we've watched couples with an age difference before(I Hear Your Voice, Secret Love Affair, Romance is the Bonus Book. Light in Your Eyes, One Spring Night...). I think there was no chemistry between the main couple. Even though I enjoyed watching their old times, Da Jung's old version bothered me. It was like she couldn't get into the acting role. Especially 13-14. What was the acting of the woman in the episodes, for God's sake? She acted like she was 15 years old and in addition the scenes were irritating. For example, there is a kissing scene at the end of episode 14. Pay attention to the acting of the female character in that scene. She is crying but her face looks like she is disgusted. I think I should point out that the script is also weak at many points. Especially in the episodes in 2020. I felt the emotion more intensely in the parts describing the old times. I wish old Dae Young would act in romantic scenes. There were times when I questioned the meaning of Yoon Sang Hyun's presence in the drama. I think it was a pity for him. In order to express the emotion more in very unnecessary scenes, those scenes were played by the old Dae Young. But there was always LDH in the romantic scenes. LDH acted great, but we can't deny that the script is weak.

Reasons this is my favorite!!!

My all time favorite drama! I was extremely excited to watch this because I'm a fan of the original movie ,17 Again. However, I was a little worried of how they'd make an entire series and still follow the original story line, but they exceeded my expectations. The characters are so raw and full of life. I couldn’t help but get attached to the characters and every beautiful scene of the dad with his kids had me in tears. Not only was I filled with tears but also there were plenty of scenes that had me crying from laughing so much. Its a great mixture of comedy and slice of life, which are my favorite genres! Plus someone who loves cinematography, this drama for sure had beautiful cinematography sooo extra points! This is the one drama I never hesitate to recommend! Idk how many times I've rewatched this but I'll never get tired of it!

Beautiful drama !

The storyline was so beautiful, each and every episode had a powerful message to convey.
Let's talk about the ost, there were so beautiful, i couldn't get it out of my head.
Every time i listened to the song "hello" i actually cried. And i did so at the end of each episode.
I will close this really short review with a quote from the last episode :
“No matter how old you get, there is always something to learn. If you think of it as a regret, then that’s the end of it but when you think of it as a lesson learned it brings a new begining".

I highly recommend it! Always love and care for your dear ones, do not take their love for granted, and live without regrets.

Um dos melhores doramas que já vi

Esse dorama é simplesmente maravilhoso. A atuação, a história, os assuntos abordados, os relacionamentos, a trilha sonora, tudo foi incrível! Fui muito surpreendida, a história me encantou logo no primeiro episódio e dali para a frente só melhorou. Não me cansei nem por um minuto. Ao mesmo tempo que eu queria assistir um episódio atrás do outro, não queria que o drama acabasse.
O dorama consegue ser leve e engraçado na medida certa, mas ainda assim possui muita profundidade e conseguiu me emocionar muito. Tem muitos momentos reflexivos que foram abordados muito bem. A história é linda e a forma como foi construída foi impecável. As idas ao passado mostrando a construção do relacionamento dos protagonistas, os momentos felizes e os sofrimentos que eles passaram juntos foram muito bem passados ao telespectador. Assim como os momentos presentes e o desenrolar dos acontecimentos. Os personagens possuem muito carisma, todos eles. Em especial o protagonista, Hong Dae Young. Que personagem! Me diverti muito com ele e com suas reações. O ator Lee Do Hyun interpretou ele muito bem, fiquei impressionada coma a atuação dele.
Enfim, a história conseguiu ser boa do início ao fim, sem ficar cansativa ou repetitiva. A história de todos os personagens era interessante, desde o plot principal dos protagonistas, até os plots dos personagens secundários, principalmente dos filhos dos principais.
Esse drama falou sobre aprender com nossos erros. Sobre valorizar o que realmente importa. Sobre nunca ser tarde para sonhar. Sobre a importância da honestidade e da comunicação nos relacionamentos. Sobre a vida ter altos e baixos e que isso faz parte. Falou sobre muitos coisas com leveza e naturalidade. Eu amei muito e não vejo a hora de revê-lo. Indico de olhos fechados!

This is one of the few reviews I will write but omg everything about this show was so good, the variety of casting with wi ha joon and lee do hyun. The premise is really unique too for the time, he goes back in his 18 year old body and tries to fix the problems in his life basically. The story was well written and I just don't know why this isn't more talked about still. Lee do hyun's acting is never bad and the children were also such a joy to watch. I know the age gap is a little weird but I didn't mind it at all since it was him just in a better body :D. That 's all I will say, I will continue to watch lee do hyun's dramas.
