Jinyan is saved by the monks in Muchen Temple. The abbot spots the gold jade token on her and therefore gives her a horoscope tablet. When Jinyan arrives home, she realizes that Suyu is already married to the Prince. She thinks that it was all her fault. Consort Wen uses the absence of the eight-pattern jade pendant as an excuse, to disallow the marriage. Suyu then sends letter back home, requesting for the jade pendant.
