Both dramas are about the FL entering a screenplay into a fictional historical world where she is a supporting character. The FL then tries to return to the real world by controlling the story and falls in love with the story's villain.

FL is an aspiring series script screenwriter While napping, she is transported into her own story, becoming the Third Princess Chen Qian Qian, a side character, killed off in the third episode by the male lead, Prince Han Shuo. Armed with the knowledge of her own script, Xiao Qian is determined to stay alive and find her way back home.

The relationship between the main leads gives off the same feeling. The female leads both share a connection at the beginning in which they have similar characters and appearances. They are both smart and are in the process of creating their own empire with some support from their romantic interests. I truly see deep connections between both dramas and encourage you to watch! You won't regret it :)

Just based on the synopsis: both begin in the modern world where a female writer is writing a historical love triangle for work. In both, neither writer intends for the female in their story to live long, but as the writer gets deeper and more connected to the story, she has to find ways to stay alive in the world she has created.

(Rule the World is a great option while waiting for the release of Romance of Tiger Rose)

The set up shares many similarities

- in both dramas, the female lead transmigrates into past (TTEOTM) or historical fiction (TROTaR)
- the female lead is kind but replaces someone who is quite cruel (and nearly crazy)
- the female lead is in a loveless marriage with male lead
- the male lead seems to have feelings for older sister of female lead (TTEOTM) or female lead tries to set them up (TROTAR)
- the male lead appears weak and docile

However, the vibes of both dramas are different - Tiger and Rose is very comedy centered while TTEOTM (while still not the most serious ever) has more some more somber themes and the stakes of the whole story seem to be higher

This is a bad boy / purehearted girl romance. It is Cute+Fun+Light-hearted, but the actors and director took the production seriously. {Oh, the bad boy. Enjoy him on the screen, but run away IRL girls!} Dylan Wang has to play a woman in a man's body in some scenes. He is superb. The theme song is Spotify-worthy. FL is darling. The villain is slightly overdone, but that's common in Chinese features. The Chinese do excel at inflicting pain in their entertainment, but LBFAD won't rip your heart out, so it is a nice break from more intense dramas.

The relationship between the leads - how the FL was fearing for her life initially because of the ML and how the ML was suspicious of the FL. How the FL is always getting into trouble and gets out of it. A 2nd ML that loves the FL.

Both are about a modern day FL who enters the world of a historical novel in which the ML will eventually become a villain. She begins changing the story and falls in love with the ML.

Female lead goes to another "dimension", and everything starts from the beginning. Both female leads know what is going to happen and tries to change it. In Legally Romance, FL goes back in time 11 years to when she was still a college student and this time, she tries to fix her life. In the Romance of Tiger and Rose, the FL gets trapped in her script and tries to make her story stay on track. In both dramas, the female leads try to set the male leads up with the second female leads but fails to do so. Both dramas are light and funny.

Both have a modern day lead or leads entering a fictional historical world, and both poke fun at/play with common wuxia tropes.
