Story: I loved the idea that the 2 main leads had a history for a really long time before they broke up. I didn’t think it could be romantic watching their journey back to each other but man did I eat all that angst up. I also enjoyed the romances of the main female character’s 2 friends. The plot is really simple though but if you love romance than this is a drama for you! The ending though is a bit unrealistic but i dont care cause im a sucker for happy/cheesy endings=)
Acting/Cast: Like I said I didn’t like Jung Yu Mi in Q.S.S but have seen a movie she was in and I’ll admit she is a pretty good actress. She definitely changed my opinion of her as she made her character in this drama really likable. I wouldn’t mind seeing other things she does in the future. When it comes to our first male lead Lee Jin Wook, I thought he was perfectly casted as he made his sometimes jerky character human and just very likable. I was soo obsessed with them being together because their chemistry felt so intense but I liked that it didn’t seem forced. As for the second male lead Kim Ji Suk, I'm just going to say it now; I didn’t like him! I don’t know if its his acting style or his character(came off really obsessive/too eager) but yeah lets just say I wasn’t rooting for him at all to get the girl. When it comes to the supporting cast, I didn’t know the actresses who played the female lead’s friends but I loved their characters and also the actors that played their loved interests. Everyone had chemistry as far as friendships and romances goes.
Music: I wasn’t expecting to get an OST that I could put on my ipod out of this but I just really enjoyed the songs (gave off an indie vibe).
Rewatch: The drama feels short and since I had a lot of fun watching the first time I wouldn’t mind watching this every year.
Overall I Need Romance 2 is a very easy breezy watch with realistic characters.

But this instalment of the INR franchise surprised me with its in-depth deconstruction of romances - what we do and expect from the person we love and how often we are torn between our feelings for two people and the mistakes we make. What a mature way to resolve a triangular love.
Hats off to the makers and I think I prefer this season over the first one.

I loved that there was actual interaction in the couples!! They actually would kiss, hold hands, have sexual dreams, have sex!!!! And there wasn't this big fuss about it either! I love that it was like real life, there's only so many dramas you can watch where it takes 5 episodes just to get them to hold hands in public. Geez.
I loved that the characters were honest. Yes the main girl was annoying at certain points, but she had opinions and needs and feelings and she expressed them instead of leaving people to try and read her mind.
Another plus was the music which was actually really good along with the filming locations. It was very bright and happy most of the time and made me wish I was where they were.
This drama is in my top for favorites since it honestly was good once you get past the frustrating emotions and back and forth that people really do go through in real life. If there was anything wrong with this drama in my opinion, it'd be that it was too realistic. No couple is perfect, you aren't always going to go with the person you know you should be with, you follow your heart even if others don't agree. You fight for what you want. You run around in circles protecting people miscommunication etc. It's real, that's all I think.

Honestly, I don’t understand the relationship between Seok Hyun and Yeol Mae. I have never been in a relationship where I fought like that. I’m not of the disposition to ever endure something like that. If I was miserable in a relationship, then I just wouldn’t be in that relationship. Also, I have a problem with relationships where people hide things and aren’t truthful. I absolutely believe that you can love someone and not be with them. I appreciated all the middle episodes where Yeol Mae was with Ji Hoon in a healthy relationship a lot more. Ji Hoon treated her with kindness and respect and was honest with her. It is possible to love two people at the same time. I just don’t relate to women like her at all. I like the friends and their stories though. At least they learned something from their strange albeit unhealthy relationships and moved on. I probably identify more with Jae Kyeong out of the women. I won’t give away the ending, but to me it was unsatisfactory. The last episode was pretty much filled with flash back filler and a time jump. It just made me roll my eyes.
On the other hand, the acting was really good. I have always liked Kim Ji Suk and I think he did an excellent job playing Ji Hoon. He has a great smile and an ease of acting that totally drew me in. He is very believable. I have never seen Lee Jin Wook in anything before. I didn’t like his character, but I guess that is a tribute to his acting. He is easy on the eyes though. Jung Yu Mi also did wonderful portraying a confused, frustrated, but in love woman on one hand and a then a totally happy, satisfied in love woman on the other. All of the other actors were good also.
The music is off the hook. “I Could Give You Love” by Lasse Lindh is a great song and I definitely think that it should be added to everyone’s song list.
I recommend watching this drama to see for yourself. You may enjoy it. There are a lot of enjoyable moments. I personally just couldn’t get over the fact that Yeol Mae was in a long term, on again/off again relationship with a jerk. Oh and I have never seen the first I Need Romance...so I can't compare.

The back and forth comparison with this drama and its first version compelled me to record my own experience.I'm jumping on the bandwagon for those who agreed the first one was better.
This one was trying to follow the same format and formula as the first one, injecting bits of mystery and melodrama in the storyline just to make it a little different but ended up incohesive and jarring.
Have a trio of girlfriends each with their own entirely unique personality, taste, and love lines - Check!
Present a broken long-term intimate relationship that had gone through an on-off even helter-skelter ride - Check!
Present a strong new love to rival the first - Check!
I think I will stop here before I ultimately enter spoiler territory.
But that gives you some of the format and formula I mentioned. The first problem I should mention is the transition. Okay, we've shown this and that, it's now the phase for realization and jealousy, so let's depict that in this episode. And BAM! Here's your jealousy rage... How about character development? I think that due to the new elements introduced in this series, it failed in managing to fit those smoothly in a 16 episodes format. While the characters are rushing through these emotional phases, I on the one hand am only just beginning to get into their involvement.
'Twas very tasking to keep in-synched with main characters' behavior, not until we reached the end with them.
There was very little I can appreciate in this drama. There was perhaps the music, the filler stories, the depiction of romance which were all at least at par with the first series. I would also agree with those who claimed that this had been casts with better male lead actors. These might all be enough for you to give this one a try or if you're just wanting to find your own comparison.

Story: So the story is good in the beginning. It keeps you wondering and guessing, what is Seok Hyun's secret, who is she going to end up with. I thought the story wasn't predictable. Even in the end, I was still confused as to whom she loved more. But the bad part about this story is the logic. It doesn't really make sense when you think about it. The second to last episode, I was so confused as to what just happened. So I came to the conclusion that you have to watch this drama without thinking about the logic. That may be a turn-off for some people, but sometimes a no-brainer drama is what you need. But when I thought about the girls in this drama, I concluded that my gender is confusing and I did get an insight as to how men feel. However I kinda wished that Jae Kyung's story got some more light. I really liked her story line and I feel it could be a drama on its own. But other wise the story line is light-hearted and not meant for serious thoughts.
Acting: I thought the acting was good. It was believe most of the time, except when the girls were too emotional and dramatic. The lead male took the spotlight in acting. Honestly the only parts where I actually teared up a bit was during his parts. He managed to show the complex emotions of his character quite well.
Music: I loved the music. Seeing as how the main character is a music producer, it makes sense that the music is good as well.
Rewatch: I really don't want to sit through this drama again because usually the second time I watch a drama I end up thinking a lot more, and I know that I will end up getting a headache if I watch it again.
Overall: It gets an eight for keeping me entertained every week and for not being all that predictable. Plus there are some fine men in this drama. Fine men, who do go shirtless. Talk about something to look at :P Again if you watched INR1 you might think differently, but I am not going to consider INR1 at all. It was cute, sweet, and fluffy. I'm not a huge fan of melos or too much drama so this was a good drama for me to watch.

Quality-wise, this drama had an awful story. Seokhyun and Yeolmae’s relationship really really really annoyed me to death. This is the first time I hated a good-looking character so much. Lee Jin Wook’s charming, but his character sucked big time. I just wanted to punch him in the face all the time. I also wanted to slap the hell out of Yeolmae. How could she love this kind of guy? I don’t care whatever reason or excuse he had for pushing her away and being such a jerk because in the end, doesn’t love make everything simple? Isn’t love the most important thing? Unfortunately, the heroine’s quite foolish to return to his side over and over again.
Thank goodness the side stories were fun to watch. I especially found Jihee’s story amusing, and it helped make up for the nuisance (that is Seokhyun and Yeolmae’s relationship). I also loved the friendship between the three ladies. They were always there for one another through thick and thin.
But most importantly, thank you drama gods for having a character like Jihoon. Seriously, I wouldn’t have made it alive after this drama if not for that guy. How can there be such a perfect man like him? He’s got it all: the looks, the charm, the passion, and everything else one could ever wish for. He’s the type of guy no parent could ever refuse for their daughter. I wish every Korean drama had a Jihoon.
The acting’s good. The feelings strike through the heart. I hated it to death when Seokhyun had his sad moments and such, but I have to admit I was moved at times. But it’s got to do with Lee Jin Wook’s acting, and not because Seokhyun's pitiful. He was never pitiful in my eyes. Jung Yoo Mi was adorable. She was able to portray a cheeky and at times heartbroken woman longing for love. Oh and Mr. Perfect Jihoon was well-portrayed by Kim Ji Suk. I’m not so good with words, but he was really amazing. I still wonder how he’s able to make hearts explode with just one smile.
The music’s okay. I actually find myself at times humming that song by 10cm. It’s surprisingly addictive.
It wouldn’t hurt to rewatch this one if only I could stand watching Seokhyun and Yeolmae’s out-of-this-world relationship. Unfortunately, I can’t. But I might make an exception someday when I miss Mr. Perfect. He’ll be the only reason why I would even bother rewatch this.
I’m a sucker for dramas with lots of sweet and cutesy and adorable and heart-fluttering moments, so no matter how much I hated Seokhyun and Yeolmae’s relationship, at least they had given my heart a reason to flutter with all those cute moments. But not as much as my heart fluttered for Yeolmae and Jihoon. Their love was to die for. There was never a scene between them that I hated. Every scene was wonderful. Then again, I loved this pairing as much as I hated the other pairing so it’s not really a surprise that I loved every scene they were together in.
Overall, the drama’s pleasing and adorable to watch. But beware, because the way the story progresses is such a bitch.

For those who didn't watch any of the INR, I will recommend to watch first the 2 season, so they will be not disappointed when watching the first one afterwards.

Fun Mature Content
I am gonna be honest here, the first time I watched this series was when I was much younger (mid-teenage years). At the time, I had only just started watching k-dramas, and thought the main lead guy is the right guy for the main girl just because he was the main guy smh. After watching it now, after many years of life experiences and k-drama experience (lol), I HAVE TO SAY- my boy Ji Hoon (2nd lead) DESERVED BETTER!! Joo Yeol Mae (main girl)'s relationship with Ji Hoon was SO HEALTHY; he helped her grow and understand what she is doing wrong and helped her overcome her mistakes.
It frustrated me when she kept going back to the main guy who has only hurt her time and time again. He has never expressed himself and just expected her to understand what he is feeling; while hiding the most important parts of his life.
