Great Escape (2019)

Don’t miss out on this HILARIOUS show! It’s definitely worth it!

This show is SO funny. I watch it RAW without Eng Subs (???? only Ep 1 on YT is subbed) but it’s still hilarious. They did a great job with the casting bc the chemistry is amazing. The natural flow of their reactions and interactions are just so fun to watch.

I have to say, the most unexpectedly, outrageously funny break out star of this show is Deng Lun. I bet the producers themselves never guessed what a funny gem of a character Deng Lun is. Everything from his OCD germaphobia to his fear of EVERYTHING (especially snakes), to his tendency to blurt our random English phrases (“I have a question!” “Oh my god!”) to his versatility in each situation is just simply entertainment at its best. I am not saying this based on any bias, really - Deng Lun is just incrediblly fun(ny) to watch. What makes him great on the show is that he is definitely the brains on the show. The others, like Justin, all do their part to solve the puzzles but Deng Lun is very smart, just very thoughtful, analytical, observant and sharp so he helps solve most of their hardest tasks. And he has a tendency to be rather quiet and more mature in solving his tasks (unless he is scared) which gives him gravitas as a leader. AND based on the most recent episode - he also has muscles when needed. I mean, the guy clearly works out. (Should definitely watch the 5/11/19 episode).

So what makes all of this so hilarious? The fact that he startles on a dime, falls to a near faint at every turn, screams when a bird flies around, openly admits to being scared and cries for his “mama” when he’s scared. ???? I mean, the contradiction really makes for fun tv. All of the cast members tease him endlessly calling him “Lun Ge” or Brother Lun and poking fun at his scaredy-cat ness. But what’s great about all this is he never shrinks from it and embraces the fact that yes, he scares easy but he helps the team make their “great escape” each episode. It’s actually great to see a man not trying to pretend to be tough but acknowledging his fears and stepping up for the team in all other aspects. He really makes this show. I think the producers really got lucky, and if you get a chance to watch it you’ll be in luck too. “Jia you Lun Ge!” ????????????????????

this show is a korean spin off to this under the same english name
i found all full episodes but without subs, but because my second language is chinese so im fine so here's the link

the casts are all super smart and some are just there for entertainment purpose but they are still of use!
im currently on the 4th storyline, the alien one. so far the creepiest episode will have to be episode 1.. where the dogs and cats are turned into beef and mutton ;-; like thats just fked up and props to the people behind the scenes. the mmost amazing set up would be the school episode, LIKE HOW DID THEY TURN AN ABANDON SCHOOL INTO AN ESCAPE BUILDING like its impossible to built a building just for a variety show so they must have make use of a real abandoned building. so really the crew did alot! did you guys also watch the 大神逃脱？where another group of 6 people went in before the actual cast in order to test the escape room, and i have to say there are alot of changes for the actual cast after it is being tested.

I started watching this variety because Deng Lun (he’s so handsome) was one of the main casts, however, after watching all the episodes, all the casts gave me a pretty good impression they are all pretty witty and hilarious. I cannot stop laughing from watching every episode. There will be season 2 coming up this year but I'm not sure when they will be releasing it. Sadly, only Yang Mi, Deng Lun and Justin will be the only original casts left. There will be new members joining in according to an article I came across online. I know that some sites do not provide the full episode. Luckily, I saw a comment where you can watch it on this particular site:

However, there are no English subtitles provided. I am glad that Chinese is my second language and I can understand what they were talking about ><

Amazing show. The cast was perfect, couldn't have chosen a better group. The chemistry between them all were awesome and they worked together perfectly. In some shows, I feel that some members get left out but in this I felt like everyone was included every step of the way which was nice to see . The connection between Deng Lun and Wei Daxun especially was so fun to watch. I really hope that the two do more things together. I didn't want the show to end but I had to watch it all as it was too good to stop. I wish season 2 had the same people but from what I've heard, only some are the same.
