The plot talks about minor characters wanting to forge their own faith away from what has been set in stone for them. However, we see the price the characters pay when they decide to put fate in their own hands. The beginning started off great but the middle portion started to drag a little but I gave a bit more understanding to the plot and reasoning of the character. I wished that they would have explained Jin Mi Chae's character more since he played a vital role in pushing the characters and honestly, he deserves some justice. We clearly see a lot of the repercussions that came about changes which sometimes makes your heart hurt from watching the drama. When you try to change your misfortune, someone else will takeover that misfortune.Slowly, we see character act beyond the writer's intention and some make the choice to stay in character while some choose to make changes true to their hearts. The story definitely focuses more on the life of the characters rather than their roles as students so don't expect too much from an education viewpoint.
The cast selection was great and they played their roles perfectly despite some of them being rookies.

Honestly, when I through the first few episodes it seemed like a parody of some sort for boys over flowers. but it unraveled into a story of its known and I loved how they brought in different concepts and made in a constructive piece of work that gave joy to their audience.
I think the plot was very eventful and I liked the perspectives of how each scene was shot. I personally loved each performance by each character I felt no one lacking or no gaps felt when watching the series, especially to the supporting role played by Lee Jae Wook, who not only delivered but made the experience worthwhile. it also has a lot of humor that I think appeals to a general crowd. I think it's a great drama to get you up to your spirits and it really does cheer you up, it's funny but also very emotional at times and I had a great experience watching it. if your thinking of watching it go for it!

Extraordinary you
I think that this Korean drama is very cool and unique. It's a school drama that the storyboard is so far different from the other school drama. In the storyboard, some scenes are repeated twice for us to understand and remember each character's storyboard in the drama. The drama has either happy and sad scenes that make us feel so emotional when watching it. Some scenes are so surprising because the storyboard first persuades the watcher that the character can't change anything on stage and will only repeat like the writer's older work. No matter how hard we change, we still get what the writer wants us to be But in the end, the ending storyboard makes us so surprised with the results. The actor is so stunning with a high skilled act that makes us want to be in the drama. Haru and Dan-Oh have the best chemistry from the first episode. Plus, each song is really catchy with each scene. The song that I love is sung by Sondia Epitone Project- First Love. The overall rate is 9.5 because I already watch it four times. I recommend you guys to watch this best romance drama. you won't regret it after watching it.

what about the writer?
this drama was a little bit similar to 'W'(two different world) both dramas had high potential but both kinda failed but still i prefer 'W' over extraordinary you because they introduced writer into their drama and the story was meaningfull. the only thing i disliked about the drama 'W' is there was so much going on things kept changing so quickly.and very opposite to that, extraordinary you have a lot of scenes where i thought they are dragging the story.i thought they will meet the writer or something ask the questions and what about that green hole that kept on appearing.in the end ,were they in a comic again? or they entered the real world.Nothing was explained at all.what's the point of writing same story and even same dialogues in both the comics, 'secret' and the 'trumpet creeper'? everything was unanswered but anyways i was rooting for a satisfactory ending but...Cet avis était-il utile?
****IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE*****
1) Baek Kyung: To me he was the most important piece in this drama. and he really carried the show well, i didnt skip any of his scenes. although his character was the typical cliche douchebag, i could not blame him because that was how he was written and he just couldnt find his real self off the stage. i found him the most pitiful because he would always hear what he wanted from the FL on the stage and have them retracted few mins later after their scene. so heartbreaking because he really did like her. i wish the writer would have explain his character better given us backstory of his mum and all but they decided to fill the show with flashbacks. anyways, acting 10/10, storyline 9.5/10
2) Eun Dan Oh: would have been number one is she didnt keep saying haruya every single time..... in the begining she carried the show. she was literally kdrama fans watching a cliche rom comedy drama lol.... it was funny. her acting is so top notch.... she was talking to herself for the most part of the first few episodes and still got me hooked. her character started to get selfish when she was adamant on changing the story without caring for the repercussions and got clingy after she started dating haru. (ps i liked them together initially but after he disappeared and came back their chemistry was weird).acting 9.5/10, storyline 7.5/10
3) Haru: his character could have been developed more. i lost touch with him along the line and didnt care so much about his character anymore, skipped most of his scenes with dan oh towards the end. the story telling of their past could have been more in depth and climatic but it was the opposite. the mysery around his character ws supposed to be the big reveal but it didnt just cut it. acting 8/10, storyline 7/10
4) Dried squid fairy: i loved the mystery behind his character and how he was aware of the present and the past. like others his big reveal of the past was also anti climatic. acting 8/10, storyline 7/10
5)oh nam joo, joo da, lee do hwa: the writers main love triangle.... cute but became redundant. i liked joo da's character development in the drama and respect her for not playing both guys and standing up to the bullies.
6)baek kyung's brother: a mystery character and a waste of opportunity to develop this story better. i expected more back story to his character but it was anticlimactic for me.
conclusion: after the 15th episode i think, there was no wow moment for me.... i struggled to finish and all the reveals were anticlimactic and predictable. whole thing could have been summarized in 10 episodes.....

Dramma meraviglioso!
Dramma liceale e fantasy.

I’ve watched a few high-school romance dramas in my time, but this is 100% my new favourite. The plot up until the last couple of episodes is totally unique from any of the others I’ve watched, with the whole premise of the characters being stuck in a romance comic creating interesting dynamics and challenges for the characters. Much of the plot I couldn’t predict, and there were a lot of surprising twists in the story that kept me wanting to watch more. I also loved the satire of a lot of the high-school romance cliches that I’d seen repeatedly through the “main characters” of the comic, as it made the show fun to watch even when things started to get serious. The past comic that they were in also added another layer of depth to the story by creating a mystery around who the characters really were. For an initially light-hearted drama, the story also raised and explored a lot of questions surrounding fate and whether we have free will in a nuanced way. I might be looking a bit too deep into it, but to me the “writer” represents life, which gives us an unpredictable and sometimes unfair fate. While some are determined enough to be able to change their fate, often we’re unable to. I believe that the story ultimately tells us that while this may be the case, we can only make the most of the time we have and the moments we share with other people.
One of the other main reasons why I love this drama so much is Eun Dan Oh and Ha Ru’s relationship. In my opinion, it’s the best relationship I’ve seen depicted in a drama, and the chemistry between them made it feel so real. While I usually have bad second-lead syndrome (Seojun from true beauty cough) and tend to root for the second-lead, Ha Ru was so caring and their relationship was so adorable that I was rooting for them until the end. Even when I started to like Baek Gyeong, I couldn’t root for him as Eun Dan Oh and Ha Ru were each other’s perfect counterparts. He balanced out her big energy with his calm and gentle nature, and she brought out a more fun and cheerful side of him at the same time.
Eun Dan Oh is probably my favourite female lead that I’ve seen, as she was as assertive as she was bubbly, which was refreshing to see in the protagonist. She wasn’t perfect, and could often be self-centred, but was more relatable as a character for that reason, and was incredibly loveable anyway. Baek Gyeong’s character development throughout the story was executed really well, as I initially despised him, but came to sympathise with and even like his character by the end. Lee Do Hwa was also one of my favourite characters in the series, as I loved his sarcastic commentary on his stage character and his affection towards the others.
That being said, there are some issues with the show that I believe mean that it’s not 10 stars. There are a lot of things that occur that raise questions that are never answered, such as the green black hole that appears randomly. While I understand that not everything has to have an explanation, there were a lot of strange things such as that that I felt were unresolved by the end. Even the ending itself doesn’t feel very resolved, as they just end up in another comic book world, which makes it feel less satisfying. I also think that the story ironically becomes classic and mostly predictable by the end of the series, with Baek Gyeong being the exact same male second-lead that had initially been critiqued. Even Ha Ru disappearing again was predictable, as the same thing had happened multiple times already, and I could tell what the ending was going to be by that point. I also think that the “female lead” of the comic choosing the first lead over Lee Do Hwa was disappointing, as I believe that she had way more chemistry with Lee Do Hwa, and an opportunity to go against the cliche ending was missed.
So overall, I loved this show, and it has a special place in my heart as one of my favourite k-dramas. However, I can only give it 9 stars out of 10 as I felt that the plot started to falter by the end episodes

One of my first Kdramas I've watched! Beautiful story!
Nothing else to say other than this drama was one of the best and first I've seen in all Kdramas!I also want to give a shoutout to Stray Kids' OST "끝나지 않을 이야기 (Neverending Story)" in this drama! It's so beautiful and really fits in this drama!
I wished there were more scenes after Dan Oh and Haru met and recognized each other! Some more cute scenes of them would've been nice without the stress of the second lead, Baek Kyung, or any other character always butting in.

Don't even know how I completed it:/
Jeez i don't even know what to say....like i found this drama on netflix and by watching the trailer was intrigued and felt that its something new with a fresh storyline...When i started it i sincerely was drawn into it too much..it made me want to watch it till the very end and know whats gonna happen and if there is gonna be a happy ending or not..i watched it continuously till the 9th episode after than the drama as a whole went totally downhill for me...the scenes and the cast itself made me feel like what the hell are they doing...in simple words it was just a mess.
During the first half of the drama I thought it might go down as one of my favorites, but then it veered away from the fantasy aspect and totally into typical romance. I liked the cast so I feel fine that I watched it but there were so many unanswered questions: Were those portals opening up in the library? Who was the writer? What was the story of the Dried Squid Fairy and why was he so mysterious? It was almost like the entire writing staff switched out at some point and they never agreed on what the story was supposed to be.
In the end it had too many plot-holes with half of the original purpose of the story totally being lost and scene continuously being repeated without any spice or add on:/

Unfortunately, the drama proved me wrong. At the last few episodes, I started to skip scenes NOT TO WATCH HARU AND DAN OH BUT FOR THE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS (Dry Squid Fairy, Lee Do Hwa, Yeo Ju Da)
The reason why the drama was disappointing are
1. It puts a lot of questions before you and finally gives no answer
2. Lot of plot holes.
3. Supporting actors characterization was improved well but Haru Characterisation seems to be comical.
After first few episodes, the drama goes all same and cliché like other and REPEATED LINES AND SCENES...aaaargghhhh
I really loved the build up at the beginning. May be that's why was disappointed at the end.
To be honest the characters kept saying that the author gives repeated lines and the scenes are cliché but they ended up giving one.
