A brief introduction to the customs and traditions of the local tribes
Familial, platonic, romantic love. Even love for the community and it's customs and tradition is shown here. From production to casting, it was well planned. It has a really interesting plot to start with. Based on the pilot episode, I thought it would be heavy on the mystical/paranormal aspects. It wasn't.
To be honest, it was a bit draggy and it had plot holes here and there. First would be, what happened to the two brothers? The one that was left alone on the dry land and the other one was cast off to the sea.
Another thing, I thought the part where the FL has this special ability to heal wasn't explored enough.
The message of the story was really strong though. Aside from the obvious, Female empowerment. I think the louder message is about Human Rights. The rights of the minority, that should be protected and not exploited. The rights to education, that should be available for everyone. And even the rights to choose who to marry or to love.
