My & Eskue's Review
Eskue: first off, i actually liked how this new Haruta was more direct on his feelings/speaking his mind. He didn't stutter and dwell as much on the multiple love interests conflict. But at the same time, the character itself wasn't as "likeable" as stated by Ijs prior. He kinda lost his essense. As for the show itself: it was really good and entertaining till episode 5ish. After that it was a whole mess and which had me rolling my eyes every 5secs. Naruse was such a bore and annoying at times, Shino at first was like stalker then he kinda gets more likeable. But man, wth was this ending with him ending up with Ossan?? It made no sense whatsoever. We didn't get any indicative of Haruta actually being in love with ossan or demonstrating any major feelings towards hir OR any sweet moments that would make our heart skip a beat for those two. I could write a lot more but i guess you guys would be bored at it XD. I didn't hate the show but it was definitely a let down since the first half was really niceMe: What the hell? Where is Maki?

Cinematic Magic!
In a sense, this story is deeper than in season one. While still about Haruta, the story circumvents him to encompass more individuals around him and does so in a deeply, introspective, and immensely emotional fashion. To be sure, the keystone remains parallel to season one. The Captain, an older distinguished-looking man, falls in love with Haruta, a much younger and energetic man. Yet, in the end there is such a surprising twist that it caught me off guard. I honestly did not know what to make of it. Was it real or a profound cry out of a desperately lonely man? I cried at either prospect as Haruta, for the first time, truly seemed adrift. This is effulgent and, along with the previous “Ossan’s Love” productions, are worthy of our reverence. This is a jewel of virtuosity and therefore I would consider it a ‘Masterpiece’. They may be archival but should not be forgotten. Treat yourself to pure joy!Cet avis était-il utile?
KUROSAWA GETS HIS HAPPY ENDING!
Honestly, I absolutely LOVE this spin off. It's completely different to the original Ossan's Love and that's what I love about it.The characters were amazing and their relationships were so messy and confusing it was fun to watch. I really liked how mature Haruta was in this show (well, atleast a bit more mature than he originally is...) but it was refreshing to see him involve himself in relationships and get to grip with his own feelings first.
I honestly had no idea how this show would end until the very last second - it was the best very last second of my life! Haruta was crying, Kurosawa was crying and I was crying.
If you've watched Ossan's Love or not, it doesn't matter. This is such a hilarious, well written and heartwarming show you need to see!!!

I didn't watch season 1
I wasn't aware that this was a season 2 (or a reboot, I guess). I've really enjoyed what I've seen so far, as it's a funny show with a fun premise and characters. However, I understand why some fans of the first season may not like it (based on the synopsis of the 1st season I saw, it's basically the same things with a few minor changes to plot; minor for me, for people who watched both, probably not lol)
My advice is either to completly forget about the other season or maybe try to look at as different shows....
