On other series, I just focus on the main characters.
I love Tutor, Fighter, Zon, Fai, Dew, Blue, Hwahwa, Day, Champ even Zon’s sister, Zol. I love to watch also all the supporting characters, even the restaurant owner, the teacher, Hwahwa, friends I love them all.
This is a romance comedy series for me. I like how Zon portray his role of being a slight homophobic, so funny watching him. Tutor is more mature here.

This series brings about a lot of issues that gay people, especially in the younger generations, still have today, of the fear of acceptance and the unlikeliness that they will ever have a partner who understands them, as well as friends that sympathise. Whoever you are therefore, and wherever you are, I bid you to be brave, true to yourself and lovee whomever you wish, that's what this show has taught me.

I decided to rate this drama going towards the more so the story rather than acting.
[this won't contain any spoilers]
{STORY} 10/10
Overall the storyline was really good! This drama 'WHY R U' shows us that it's fine to love anyone and not to be afraid to express your feelings to your loved one. We can see that parents can go against our decisions. They often say "I want the best for you" but do they actually mean it? This can often be seen as their greed for wanting a different future for their son/daughter. It can be hard for other people to understand and be comfortable with a situation like this. In this drama it also shows that your true friends no matter what will support you if you're in a situation like this.
{ACTING/CAST} 9.0/10
The acting was pretty good, they did do an amazing job! No complaints on their acting. The cast was brilliant Although I believe they could improve a bit more (not saying they were bad) This can be seen as things to improve for a next drama or so.
{MUSIC} 9.5/10
The music choices were great! I really enjoyed it!!
{REWATCH VALUE} 9.5/10
In my opinion it is totally worth rewatching. The storyline was emotional and great.
{OVERALL} 10/10
My overall review of this drama is definitely a 10/10. I gave it a 10 due to the storyline. It was being positive in most cases of course there are times you could doubt that things will always go well between you and your loved one. It shows that it isn't impossible to be with someone as the same gender as you. [This is going out for those who may be afraid of coming out to their families about sexualtiy, don't be afraid because your TRUE friends will always support you!] The actors potrayed thier 'love' really well!
*I really loved this drama and I highly recommend everyone to watch this drama!!*
P.S: Never give up on what you believe in!

The main leads Tutor and Fighter are complex characters, adorably unique and their chemistry is off the charts. The story line has a lot of scope for improvement, but these two will leave you wanting more. When you watch the show you can actually feel the sparks fly, the yearning and the love they have for each other. They go from love-hate to love-more love-oh my god love.
In the beginning they hate each other purely because they are fighting the attraction they feel for each other and don’t want to have “non hetero” desires. Fighter gives in to his feelings first and makes Tutor fall in love with him. He also makes himself indispensable to Tutor. The two lead characters can’t get enough of each other and are very real with their emotions, affections and desires. When they kiss you can feel the love and passion, it’s beyond expectations.
Fighter loves with all his heart and is not afraid of showing the world how much he loves Tutor. He comes from a single parent(father) wealthy family. Tutor is very playful, hardworking and affectionate by nature.
Tutor has a lot of financial problems and doesn’t want to hurt anymore or hurt anyone else. The complications start when Fighter’s father discovers their relationship and asks Tutor to stay out of his son’s life. Tutor is crushed and heartbroken, but like most Asian children respects Fighter’s father’s wishes and does what he is asked. He knows Fighter’s mom is not in the picture and doesn’t want to cause problems between Fighter and his only parent (his father). Tutor is especially sympathetic towards the father because he doesn’t live with his family and misses them dearly. Tutor knows how painful it is to not have family around and to be financially weak. He also knows Fighter has lived a sheltered and comfortable life (super rich) and doesn’t want to jeopardise that for him. So, the ultimate sacrifice is made. Tutor gives up on the only source of pure joy in his life, his true love.
Fighter doesn’t accept this and Tutor does something very stupid to make Fighter back off. This backfires and Tutor ends up feeling worse than ever and Fighter is more crushed than before. Tutor is so depressed, upset and worried about Fighter that he falls sick. Luckily Fighter finds him and takes care of him. Tutor realises how indispensable Fighter is to him, how loving Fighter is and how he can’t live without him. Fighter with the help of Tutor’s friend finds out why the break up happened and faces his father like a true man/warrior/champion. He wins that battle against his father and takes back what is his, his Tutor.

Why R U lacking!?
Honestly, it’s a very cute show, and I really want to rate it higher. But my gripe with it is the obvious production problems that affected it near the end; the lack of the story of Zon and Saifah compared to Tutor and Fighter. Also the amount of loose ends in the story. It had so much potential with such a big cast. But it felt like it ultimately just let everyone but the lead couple to waste.
I really wanted to rate it high, but unfortunately with how the story was done, while of course I understand their production issues with COVID, I can only give it an 8.
It was a mess. The idea had so much potential with the whole trapped in a BL story with Zon, but ultimately exploded all over the place.
And this is already considering Tommy! I really loved him. He’s such a cutie. Zon (Tommy), for me, is the saving grace for this mess. But as much as I just want to squish this little potato and give him all the hugs and high ratings in the world, he can only carry such a mess so far.
On a final note. The music is exceptional. I haven’t had this much good music in a Thai BL since Until We Meet Again.

3 STARS FOR ZONSAIFAH ONLY!
I was excited to watch this series due to it being one of the latest popular BL's along with 2gether, My Engineer and YYY. I was surprised to see Saint star in a lead role in this series. It's impressive seeing him star in two popular BL roles: PerthSaint in Love By Chance and ZeeSaint in Why R U?I was surprised at how much I enjoyed and liked this series (at first)! Slightly over-the-top and campy. Interesting stylistic choice with the animated sequences and blurring of fiction and reality. How ironic. His name is Tutor and he works as a tutor. Lol. Pretty cool seeing a half-black actor in Kae, but he is a comic relief role though.
The first episode was interesting as it introduced the story and the characters. However, the second and third episodes dragged a bit as the excessive dialogue scenes don't actually serve a purpose and there is no actual progress in the story. However, the series picked up on episode 4. Episodes 4-8 were exciting and compelling, Unfortunately, the series lost steam in its later episodes where I didn't really care for Tutor and Fighter's relationship anymore (and yet the series gives them so much, like so much screen time).
Rivals becoming lovers is always an interesting story. There's a lot that you can do with the tension between two people. At first, I liked Zon and Sai Fah's story more than Tutor and Fighter's to be honest. Their origin story of stealing a girlfriend makes more sense than mistaking the spelling of a name. Their relationships was SO CUTE! Like puppy love! However, I felt that Zon and Saifah's relationship is a bit too quick (which the series actually addresses a few times lol). Like one guitar session where they almost kiss and then, they are on a date where they just so happened to be at the same time at the same time. I grew to like Fighter and Tutor's story, which was filled with sexual tension. I did like how the series portrayed Fighter struggling with his sexuality and fears being outed and Tutor struggling to pay off a debt (something that the wealthy Fighter can help with). Their transition from friends who secretly liked/hated on another to acting like a couple, being jealous of and acting cute with one another, is a bit sudden though. Going on a lavish couple vacation at the beach just to see if they want to be in a relationship is a bit much and doesn't make much sense to be honest. And it's most likely Fighter's father who is funding the trip and the fact that the father didn't ask who Fighter was going with or anything doesn't make sense. The vacation scenes were so dull, excluding the love-making scene ;). I was literally waiting for something, anything to happen.
Both main couples get together like episode 9, but there are still several episodes left. There's nothing to build to. Even when Fighter's father caught him making out with Tutor, they kept on being all lovey-dovey, which doesn't make sense as his father could hear them. And why would Tutor leave his phone when he went to the bathroom or talk to Fighter all lovey-dovey in front of his student, which doesn't make sense. I do like how Fighter's father was not accepting of his son's sexuality as it provides a different viewpoint that is equally valid (and more realistic) than the other BL's with parents who accept their children right away. I also liked how he stated the importance of the happiness of the family, not the individual, which is a common Asian cultural value, and how he knew what made his son happy because he raised him, which is a common (albeit false) belief among parents. Anyways, why didn't Tutor tell fight that his father wanted them to break up. It's not like he blackmailed him. He's not losing anything by telling Fighter that. However, it is poignant having the father see how unhappy his son is due to his beliefs. More parents should see these scenes in my opinion. Seeing how their decisions and actions can affect their children. Seeing if it is actually worth it. It's kinda weird towards the end where Zon acts like Tutor's close friend when it should be Saifah who should be acting like a close friend to be honest.
It is unfortunate that ZonSaifah scenes were unable to be filmed due to COVID 19 since they are my most favourite couple in the show. I wonder how much effect the COVID crisis had on filming though. Would the side couples like Japan/Tanthai and Blue/Dew have gotten more screen time? Anyways, those side couples were completely useless and had no purpose in the series.
The skinship and make-out scenes are nicely shot though. This series probably has the most intimate scenes from a BL that I've seen thus far. However, Fightor had too much intimate scenes and ZonSaifah didn't have enough.
A few trivial things here and there like how Fighter was able to use the koala mascot since he didn't work there and how Tutor didn't know that it was Fighter. The sister (Tony) subplot was kinda random and felt shoe-horned into the story to have someone for Tutor to come out to and to bridge the silence between Tutor and Fighter.
It may not have many moments that make your heart flutter or legs quiver like 2gether, but those moments that do feel natural and organic, unlike 2gether's which feel manipulative. Your hearts flutters when you see the couples learn about each other and support each other and love each other.
It is also interesting that a lot of the cast are from the YouTube group, DomundiTV, which is pretty cool to be honest.
The product placement in this series is so shameless. Usually, I enjoy product placement in BL series as it's generally cute and funny, but this series takes it to another level, kinda shoving it in your face.

I'm fucking surprised it's rating is still above 8+
The fact that it's rating is still above 8+ considering it was such a mess just proves my point that the production definitely took full advantage of popularity of Saint with all those fan services and people bought it.I don't wanna be bitter but when you review the series you review it as a whole not just focusing on one thing which somehow has happened here thus the 8+ rating
I didn't review this earlier coz I thought I'll watch the special SaifahZon part first and then judge it and boy oh boy the disappointment. At this point I feel like the production was only hopping that the loyal fans will just support them (which they did) no matter how many mistakes they make.
Now someone will say that it was ruined coz of pandemic but lemme tell you honey deciding to put 5 couples in a series it was doomed to be a mess from the start.... Even b4 pandemic it was a mess.... Fight me if u think otherwise.
Again I might come of as very salty in my review but see this series they nailed the SaintZee plot line.... Even tho not the greatest but it was good acceptable . And ofcourse both the actors were exceptional . But other than that can you just tell me that they did justice to other side couples ? Like wat were they thinking when they added so many characters with no screentime and nothing to develop ?
If it was just SaintZee couple it wud have been perfect. But they tried to be over achiever and fucked up.... And you know what ? I feel bad for the actors more coz they didn't get to show their full potential... They could have done soo much cud have given soo much depth to story but all the talent went to waste coz of poor writing and editing.....
The SaifahZon special was one thing where they cud have redeemed themselves but nope inspite of having time they still fucked up. It felt like random clips stuck together since the fans asked for it.... If no one asked for it I doubt they wud have even bothered to make it.... The production just seems lazy to me.... Again they highly relied on Saint and nothing wrong wid that but they shouldn't have addded all those extra couples and characters if they can't bother to give their character any notable development or screentime for that matter... One good thing I can say is that the actors.... They were all great. Everyone did their part exceptionally no complains to that.... Besides that there is nothing gud I can say to compliment the production team
That's all and I understand u probably like this series coz u love FighterTutor but I reviewed this series as a whole SINCE THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 5 COUPLES NOT JUST ONE !!! But well I just hope I can see the other actors in a some other series where they actually have a good fucking script and where they can show wat they are capable of

I started watching this drama with high hopes because of the comedic nature of the first few episodes. I really liked the character development of zon and saifah. They started out being enemies that get closer over time following a prophecy from zon’s sister’s fan fiction. I loved how all Throughout the show Zon was always scared of falling into the fan fiction and has mini freakouts that saifah is more than willing to tease him about. Later on They eventually faced their feelings and didn’t mind falling into the prophecy. After they kiss on episode 7/8 they basically had no screen time and we dont get to see any development in their dynamics or of them coming into terms with the relationship. I heard about the covid outbreaks preventing any further shoots with this pairing but I feel like there are way too many scenes of fighter/tutor. Fighter tutor are honestly not interesting at all to me cuz their story is downright cliche of how some poor person trying to make it and a rich person trying to save him and basically just BLA!! I wish the show centered more around zon and saifah as their story was what most people liked. There are literally uploads of the show on youtube cut to center Around zon and saifah. I would suggest anyone wanting to watch the show to watch the cut versions. I certainly will if I choose to rewatch. Cet avis était-il utile?
I must say it was an enjoyable series and damn the kissing scene was HOT. Didnt expect that. Didnt expect that at all. Man they really went all out didnt they?
Between the two couples, I feel like they both had great chemistry and their kissing was natural not awkward. Storywise i cant say much because it was again based in an engineering school just like what the many other BLs had.

Terrible .... Dragging .... Pitiful
So this is the 3rd BL series I thought I would try and what a disappointment it was.The main cast Fighter and Tutor story had no chemistry and was lacking a whole lot of love, I especially found tutor very pitiful and downright annoying, compared to fighter who had a more "I know what I want" attitude and was prepared to go all out.
Tutor despite his hardships was extremely pitiful, he came across as a tease the whole backwards and forwards every time fighter tried to be loving was such very annoying, the one thing he had going for himself was his bedroom eyes when he decided to show his love for fighter. Even the scenes between felt like it was forced, there was no flow to this drama, and it just seemed to drag out. Even though there were only 12 episodes, I found myself having to skip some of them, cuz i just couldn't handle Tutor pitifulness.
The second couple had more of story and way more interactions, he was very comical and kept you entertained.
So not worth watching it!!

The storyline at the start of the drama got completely lost. The plot suffered due to this as well, with Fighter & Tutor's episodes completely overshadowing Zon & Saifah's.
That aside, the stories were good, especially F&T's, which felt quite realistic.
Sometimes the actors didn't seem entirely comfortable in their roles (a little wooden), but that may have been due to the series' problems or lack of direction. The last ep felt very rushed. Such a shame, as would otherwise have been a 10 rating for everything!
