Both shows are about falling in love, with an older man as the protagonist and a female lead who makes him a better person. Both are mature love stories that deal with terminal illness.

Personally they give off the same vibe and they are both also definitely a rollercoaster of emotions.

They were both written by the same writer. Both have the same feels in regard to the chemistry between the main leads.

Same theme: Love in the midst of sickness and same message enjoy love and life while it last. The situation on this one is different. The writer manage a sad theme beautifully positive.
