Ms. Kim takes a pregnant patient instead of Ms. Woo. While caring for the special patient, she meets the patient's husband who turns out to be Ms. Kim's ex-husband. Ms. Woo feels sorry and a sense of guilt in letting the uncomfortable encounter happen. Meanwhile, Min Ho goes to a club and meets a girl who looks exactly like Bo Young. (Source: Viu)

I feel bad for Yoon Joo, but at the same time,…

I feel bad for Yoon Joo, but at the same time, I'm super sick of this trope where people take all of the stress and pain upon themselves to "protect" their partner. I feel like in a real, supportive, loving relationship, you would share that kind of information and work through it together rather than "selflessly" "cutting them loose" so that they can meet someone who can give birth. It's not selfish to share the pain you're going through. In fact, it's probably what your partner would want if they knew the whole story. Just suddenly breaking up with them like that can be traumatizing and painful since everything was going perfectly fine up until that point. It makes them wonder whether they did something wrong without realizing or whether they couldn't read you as well as they thought they could. If Yoon Joo had shared the fact that she couldn't have kids with her husband, they could have adopted or hired a surrogate or lived a fulfilling life without kids, or maybe they would have decided to split up in the end, but either way, it would have been much better for both of them and much kinder to her husband if she had told him the truth rather than just unilaterally breaking their relationship off without explanation. It makes me wonder whether they actually had as good of a relationship as the show depicts if she felt like she couldn't share this huge news with him.
