Critiques
While the 1998 version had been a pure gothic horror story, this 1988 version despite being older managed to craft a more empathic, emotional and developing plot-line. This is not the typical slap-kiss drama i am used to since slap-kiss usually involves more physical encounters between the main-leads (like 2008 version) but this version managed so well with the tension between Kawee and Narin. Both of them are unstoppable forces despite being different. Tui managed to show the fierce spirit of Narin whenever she encountered Kawee so well, she did not need to speak but spoke with her eyes. Splendid. Want to watch more lakhorns with this actress. Sam Yuranunt is a dynamic actor who created his own Kawee. He is selfish, rude, condescending and takes a lot of time to reflect and change. But this actor also managed to convey a charm to this character, a certain childishness that isn`t there in the other versions. It made him more endearing to me. I also love how he actually got feelings for her sooner and even bought a gift for her in secret.
We also see how careful the romantic developement is between Kawee and Narin. Especially when he pursues her when she is pregnant. They have these deep meaningful conversations and they got closer everytime.I like that. I am surprised by how much i enjoyed this version, much more than the 1998 version.
