Both focus on dream, passion, friendship and growth. No unnecessary romance and all the actor potrayed their character perfectly.

Both dramas are about high-school volleyball teams. Both are BL but its a hint of BL in SPIKE .. you can feel the sexual tension. If you like HIStory, you will like SPIKE. Personally i preffered SPIKE.

The sport doesn’t matter, what these two movies have in common is showing the dedication and passion displayed by athlete, the coming together as a team, and the theme of perseverance not only of self and team but friendships gained and lost over time. Both main characters lost a friend but gained strength in the process.

Similar themes of school sport teams and sport comrade, deepening sport togetherness and winning spirit.

Thumping Spike is Korean. Project S The Series: SPIKE is Thai. Both are about a high school mens volleyball team.

Thumping Spike seems to focus on romance more than Project S, while in Project S, the sport and bond between athletes are more important.
