Such a dark and beautiful episode!!

If I’m honest, the first episode of Chicago Typewriter didn’t really grip me. It was a funny and interesting start, definitely, but I found nothing particularly special in it.Episode 2 though? Hooked me so completely and thoroughly that I could hardly breathe. Honestly I had to pause a few times to catch my breath!! Or squeal!!! This episode seemed to be both a building up and releasing of tension. The slow romance here was impeccable. There was a lovely building of romantic tension throughout the episode - the chemistry between the two leads is undeniable, whether they’re bickering or sneaking glances at each other. At certain points in the first half of the episode my heart was fluttering so much :’jWhat I also like about this episode is the transition from light hearted comedy and slow burn romance in the first half, to the dark and tense mood of the second half. Some scenes were adorable! Dancing at Carpe Diem? Nostalgic and pretty and made me smile. Hiding under the table with a blanket? Precious!! And yet...Some scenes were so shocking - my favourite was the scene at the end where Han smashes up his desk and the irony of the ending when he tried to miss the deer.... the cliffhanger....At the moment, what I love about this show is that it’s both funny and also heartbreaking at the same time. I did find the main characters annoying at first, but now I find myself rooting for them more and more as their pasts and motivations are slowly revealed. For example, when Jeon finally stood up for herself I was so happy!! She was so strong!! Also, the side characters are kinda super interesting too :) Some are really funny and some are super mysterious. This show is really carving a place in my heart and I’m very excited for whatever happens next!! I can sense that a love triangle is coming and I’m sooo excited....
