The 2nd Prince, Li Cheng Ye, leads an army to Westlands Protection Mansion to investigate the death of the Crown Prince and keep the Northwest countries in check. Li Cheng Yin is sent to Xizhou to ensure the engagement between the next Crown Prince and Xiao Feng is solidified, to ensure peace and stability. While there, Princess Ming Yuan reveals the secret of his past and he meets his cousin Gu Jian.
