Walls Are Comming Toward You!
You're imprisoned in a room. This is not nice, but can be tolerable in some situations, however the real disaster is that the walls are coming toward you gradually, so your body is gonna crushed sooner or later. In other words, time is your main enemy. Then how can you enjoy this situation? How can you do anything meaningful? How can you care about others, especially those who are outside such room?
Aya, her family and the Japanese culture tell you how!

10000 litres of tears
1 Litre of Tears holds an eternal place in my heart. Each rewatch deepens my connection to Aya's courageous journey, reminding me of life's fragility and the strength within. Erika Sawajiri's portrayal is a masterpiece, evoking raw emotions. The story's authenticity and the unwavering support of Aya's loved ones inspire me endlessly. With every viewing, I rediscover the beauty of resilience, making each tear shed a testament to the show's profound impact. A timeless gem that I'll keep revisiting for its touching narrative and the indomitable human spirit it celebrates.Cet avis était-il utile?

Get your tissues ready
By far one of the saddest dramas I've ever watched. From episode one I started to cry a river and was sniffing through out the whole thing. Truly moving story that teaches you to be grateful for the little things you take advantage of in life. Warning it's a sad ending, I was hoping the doctor or Aso finds a cure for the disease but sadly not which is the reality in life. I love how its based off a real story which is so inspiring. Sadly in real life Aya did not have a Aso, he was added to the drama :(((Actors did a great job showing what it is like to have the disease. Ost is awesome. I'll definitely rewatch this drama if I need a good cry by myself.

So excuse me in advance but i had to do it, this drama is just a straight uo masterpiece.
I went into this drama with a quite closed mind.
Like 5 minutes in i was already confronted with what drama this will be about.
And i knew instantly that this drama would bring me litres of tears.
This drama thought me so much.
It thought me to embrace life and stop complaining about really silly little things.
It really inspired me to be a better person.
To be the best i can be.
The acting was simply phenomenal, i believed every single word any of the cast spoke.
Everything was shot and filmed so well.
In my opinion there were no flaws other than the fact i had to cry every single episode.
I would encourage all of you to watch this drama.
Not only because of the story but mainly because of the message.
Rest in peace dear aya.. your life has inspired me so much and i hope you are in a better place now <3
Sorry if my grammar wasnt all that well.

Also it's my first drama I finished.
I have never ever cried this much over a show in my life, it's even sadder that's it based on a true story,
It's such of a impactful show I would highly recommend watching it. Why did I put the re-watch value down so low? I don't wanna go through the pain watching it. The music was great, some songs get played over and over but still great, the ending song though is great, the acting felt like real life.

One of the best dramas to watch if you want to learn how to appreciate life more.
This drama is indeed heartbreaking because it does not only make you cry but also, it can make your heart broken in pieces because of how hard Aya's life is. The story of this drama is well executed and it felt realistic to the extent that it went over to the top when it comes to audience impact. Aside from that, the acting of each characters will make you connect with them even if you are just watching them do their respective roles/parts.In fact, I liked some of the songs featured in this drama such as "Konayuki", "Sangatsu Kokonoka", and "Only Human". Erika Sawajiri did a great job in acting the most and that commendation is also applicable to Ryo Nishikido. Their love story is actually inspiring because Haruto was always there for his love, Aya most especially, when she needs him the most deep inside.
This drama taught me a lot of life lessons and that includes learning to live my life to the fullest according to what I want without regrets. I also learned to accept who I am now and there is no point for me to dwell myself in the past and learn to appreciate life even more now.
Before watching this drama, please prepare a lot of tissues or a handkerchief because this drama will really make you cry.

Crying a river (worth it tho)
Guys, normally I really do not like Japanese dramas, because they tend to be really overdramatic, unnatural (especially the acting GOSH) and the plot is really exotic.BUT THIS DRAMA.
It really hit me. The development of each character was so phenomenal and heartbreaking. I loved how the whole family grew closer, had such a strong bond, and tried to remain positive the entire time. But you also saw how human and in pain the family was sometimes because they saw how Aya physically changed from time to time. That dude who was in love with the FL (ik he's not real but still), he went from emo to loving and caring boyfriend, who stayed by her no matter what.
And then Aya...
Gosh, that girl went through so much. It was even more painful since you know that some scenes really happened. She went from light, sporty, active girl to mature, cheering, and positive women. Her development was tough, but in the end, I could feel that she was kinda at peace with her disease and herself. She also cherished her family very much.
What is also mentionable, every ending of an episode. As if I don't cry enough throughout the episode, the end always gave me the last kick. It just makes me so sad and emotional to see real Aya's notes and pictures. Dudes if you don't cry and cherish life more in the end, no words.
Acting:
Phenomenal. It was so freaking good. Ok I have to admit the FL father was sometimes a bit too hyper for my taste, but I lived in Japan so I kinda understand where it's coming from. The rest of the cast just got me every single time, I really believed every single situation they went through and really felt when they were happy or sad.
Music:
Fits perfectly to every scene. It is so beautiful that I still listen to it when I think of that drama. Just makes the drama even sadder than it already is sometimes.
Guys. Please watch that drama. It is not fake or anything. It is just so raw and pure. It is for everyone who wants to have good cry and lost orientation in life or so.

Though I didn't cry while watching this drama it left a mark. The acting of all the cast was amazing. The family's reaction and acting were superb. The expressions of pain and sadness were so realistic!
The music matched everything perfectly especially the song in the trailer.
I would rewatch this drama with friends, it's so touching and the message sent is very inspiring. This drama has actually got me very interested to the point where i want to read the book from this drama was originally based off.The flaw I found was there were sometimes that I skipped since they seemed like fillers. Other then that I have no other negative thing to say.

It makes you cry more than one litre
This is a kind of drama that will make youcry if you are human if you did not cry then
you are not a human !! Period. Like a little
slightly a teenie tiny tear can also prove
your humanity ... But no !
This drama is not only to make you cry .
This drama shows the sad tragic reality to
you which many of you don't know about
but happens to lot of people in this world
how the overcome it and learn from them
how to live your life ...
If I have to describe this show in one
sentence it will " this story is about a girl's
fight through a deadly terrible dieseas " . It
teaches a lot of lesson .You know this girl
has a disease which makes her unable to
walk , talk, eat ,. write and literally
everything ! But still this girl wants to
live !
Even though she can't go to bathroom
without someone's support , even though
she can't achieve her dreams, live a
normal life , have a boyfriend even though
all of these this girl wants to live and
force us all to live !
This drama do not only talk about aya it
also tell a about her family ...her parents
...her sister and brothers .. her freinds and
all the persons around her surrounding .
It shows you that how people treat disable
people and how you should actually treat
them .The way you treat them now is not
right ! This drama shows you the right
way !
In the end this drama is a hidden gem in
kdrama community or internationally. But
in Japan it's last episode received rating
of 20%+. So you can understand the
popularity ....
It contains the best actors as the mains.
But other actors did their job perfectly .So
this drama is a kind of drama that you
should watch before dying !! This is a
must!!! The fact that Aya really existed
makes me cry even more. Well in
conclusion I love this drama.

One of the most heart-breaking dramas ever and one of the earlier japanese dramas i have watched, "One Litre of Tears" delivers a sad love story between two teenagers Aya and her newfound friendship with Haruto which blossoms to a bittersweet love. I remember crying rivers to this story...Now after all this years i still remember how good it felt to be hurt by this drama.
Its a must-Watch if you are into classics and tearjerkers!

What makes this drama so hard to watch is that you are watching knowing what is happening to Aya and what her ending is going to be; and man it’s so hard. You get mad and frustrated because you know there’s nothing they can do for her, and watching how her illness takes control of her body is just so.... heartbreaking.
I totally recommend this, its a gem of a story waiting to be watched. Not gonna lie, I didn’t cried. I BAWLED. Like ugly ugly BAWLING. So be prepared with tissues because oh boy, you gonna need it.
One Liter of Tears has been the ONLY tv series (in general) that has left such an impact on me. I cried for Aya, I sympathized with her family and I shared the pain with Asou. There wasnt a moment that I felt that story or acting was lacking, I enjoyed every second.
The only reason I gave this such a low score in Rewatch Value was because, even if it has been years I still havent got the courage to watch it again.... This drama is totally not a easy watch; I honestly felt emotionally drained every episode. But even after all that, you will feel thankful for the simplest things in your life.
This drama is a beautiful homage to the life of the real Aya Ikeuchi.
