Some people are saying "oh it's bad acting." Really? Is it bad acting to be less serious and more silly? I don't think so.
For a rom-com, I thought the acting was pretty well executed and I totally loved Jiro in this and can't really think of another actor that would replace him. I know Rainie Yang has a lot of haters as well, which for the life of me, I can't understand. Girls' got spunk. :) But her character in this drama is much more different than other roles she's played. This was my favorite role of hers! XD
The story isn't anything new really, shy, introvert, nerdy type of girl catches the attention of the attractive, Mr.Popularity. But I tend to love these types of stories. So cliche I know, so sue me...:P
Overall it is an adorable story that has just the right amount of romance, just enough comedy and just enough "seriousness" (as serious as you can get in a rom-com, I mean) that really makes the story worth watching. Plus, I totally adore Mars and Momo! They have such good chemistry in this drama, which was what really kept me going. I mean c'mon, even their NAMES sound good together. MarsxMomo~
Love this couple and love this story. :DDD
But PLEASE! If you're looking for something serious and dramatic (involving tears) this isn't the drama for you...however if you want something light, cute and sweet (with a bit of silliness) then look no further! :D

So why should you watch it?
Because it is one of the only dramas where the relationship between the two leads is realistic, healthy and loving. Their rapport is natural. The small honest gestures of portray true love. And both characters are reasonable. No unnecessary drama, feuding or harsh words. They start of not antagonistic in an unrealistic sense but mostly civil.
It is refreshing to see a leading man whose character is humbled and is genuinely likable. It is refreshing to see a leading woman whose character isn't gratingly annoying but fiercely independent in an understated manner. Not the usually over the top confrontational manner that Asian dramas find sooo 'attractive' in the lead girl. Also best thing about it? Jiro Wang as Mars is respectful, caring and vulnerable playing the usual pretentious trades of the lead guy up for jokes. No alpha male arm pulling, no romantic gestures laced with sexism. MOST IMPORTANTLY! For a romantic comedy, there is no unecessary focus on other characters, sure there is an annoying sister but she serves a purpose. Also, the love triangle is handled in a less than typical manner, the villains are reasonable in all their 'villianly acts' and use of drama OST is great.
See? Refreshing.
My only problem is the low production value of the drama. Imaginative direction is not helped by low budget equipment, bad sound editing and certain awkward scenes. But hey, Taiwanese dramas aren't know for the 'purdy colours' as expensive K-dramas are.
Surprisingly enjoyable with some touching and memorable scenes.
Worth it.

As everyone says, the story is nothing new: huge star falls for normal girl. I actually like that kind of cliché story, but have seen many, many of those types of stories go wrong. But the story isn't whant made me love this drama, it was the characters. They were so very relatable! I keep reading the acting was poor, that there was no chemistry... I don't understand that at all!
Chen Momo was an unusual character being so consistently quiet (yes, consistently, because there are so many dramas that feature "shy" female leads that lose their"shyness" by the middle of the drama), but I loved her for being so stable and upright. I appreciated that the drama wasn't about her overcoming her shyness, because it's not a flaw -- she talked when she felt the need to, and with the people she wanted to talk to. Simple. Unlike what many people say, I actually thought her character was strong, but not in the loud way a lot of korean female leads are, for example. I also thought she was really cute, with her kinda dorky hairdo, long skirts and fun t-shirts.
I adored Mars too, because he was so kind to Momo. He's the talkative/annoying/superficial/arrogant type with most people, but with her he was always gentle, attentive, sincere, caring... I loved that he was very protective of her, but not in a macho way, because she supports him just as much. He loses his popularity, and because of this becomes quite vulnerable at times, which is why he touched me so much.
As for the music, I loved the song Mars writes during the drama (you'll hear it at the end), it's so sweet!

as far as the cast is concerned there's nothing not to like. i thought Rainie did great, i almost didnt recognize her! George Hu's role was so different than what i'm used to seeing from him, but as always he brought his a-game and was a delight. Chin King, ever the bit player, needs his own show. someone should get on that. i am not a Jiro fan girl - bear with me i'm making a point. sure the guy isnt ugly, heck he's even kinda cute i guess. this is the second Jiro drama i've watched. with TGH, like drama go go go- which it's been a while since i completed- i certainly wasnt watching because i thought Jiro Wang was a hottie. Jiro has something entirely different, charm. by the end of this show Jiro had me thouroughly charmed.
the music was catchy enough, i'm not rushing to download it but it didnt annoy me. i do have to admit that i probably wont rewatch TGH. i do like to rewatch my favorite shows, but this wont make the cut. truely awesome romantic comedies make your heart flutter and i got no flutter here.
i'd wanted to watch this for a few years and was very happy to see that Viki had good vid quality and subs.i dont feel like it wasted my time, so if you like romantic comedies i do reccomend To Get Her.

I have to tell about Yi Zhi too! He is very loyal friend and I like s character so much!
In the drama there are many memories and repeating the same scenes again. There were too much it a little, because I had to even rewind these moments.
And at the end... I praise the music! Fahrenheit always creates great OST!

Acting: I love Jiro and Rainie's chemistry that they have in this drama, it's just to much for my life to handle. When I was watching this all I thought about was that I needed Jiro in my life that's how much I loved their acting. The directors couldn't have picked a much better cast then them.
Music: I really liked the opening and closing theme song from this drama. Maybe because it's from Fahrenheit (JIRO'S BAND)
Rewatch: Heck yeah. I believe that I watched this drama for about 8 times that I already know which part my favorite parts are at. Sorry if I confused you.
All in all I really recommend this drama. It is a MUST WATCH.

The STORY is really cliche. Hot, popular guy falls in love with our plain heroine. Love triangles, ex girlfriends, evil mothers this drama has it all. But what I noticed is that for the most part Taiwanese dramas don't like to prolong these plot lines, to the extent where they get super annoying and everything is resolved relatively quickly except ToGetHer had one misunderstanding or indecisiveness in the second half wich ruined the whole drama for me.
The CHARACTERS were what made the drama shine. Mars's character development was an amazing sight. I went from hating him to loving him and the most important part is that it all felt so natural, not forced at all. Chen Mo Mo...*sight*...I really wanted to like her and I did, I freaking loved her cool attitude at first but during the second half I wouldn't say that I started disliking her but lets just say that a lot of drama happened just because she had no back bone. Of course I understand that the decisions she was forced to make were really hard but girl you have to stand up for yourself, it's okay to be selfish sometimes! Jia Sen's character was an interesting choice by the writers and at first I thought that it will be interesting but his placement between Mo Mo and Mars was a poor decision because it was really hard to like him when he was just an obstacle for their love. Jia Sen's mother is the worst, a devil in diguise. I could recite all the characters but besides Mars all of them were two dimensional at best. For example the bullys at Mo Mo's college...so one dimentional, they did things just because the writers wanted them to.
OVERALL even though it was fun while it lasted the drama is skippable but if you like fluff then this might do.
