The Magicians of Love (2006)

a girl is thrown into a life with a bunch of pretty boys each representing a personality that many fans gravitate towards. Both series know how silly their plot can be and even though it can be serious it is very silly.

Both dramas are about ordinary girls who accidentally get thrown into four rich guys' lives. The boys are quite similar in both. There's the hothead, quiet one, playboy, etc. Meteor Garden takes place in a college while Magicians takes place in a famous hair salon.

the main female protagonists are very similar both are a bit quirky and very silly while frightening to people around them sometimes. Also i think it's funny how seriously the situations which could be fairly simple are taken.

Zheng Xiao En works as an editor of romance novels at a publishing company, and secretly dreams about falling in love with a CEO. When she isn’t working, she spends her days daydreaming about He Tian Xing, the handsome chief executive of the company that occupies the building opposite her company’s offices. One day, Zheng Xiao En magically finds herself transported into the pages of a romance novel – and comes face-to-face with her crush He Tian Xing. However, she soon discovers that in this fictional universe, his name is Si Tu Ao Ran – and his personality is very different. She hopes to use all the tips and tricks she has learned from the romance novels she has edited to help snare his heart. But she soon discovers that in this fictional world, she isn’t the heroic female lead – and instead is an evil side character!

Xia Le Di was an arrogant, self-absorbed socialite before her father's bankruptcy left her penniless. She believed that it happened because his competitor stole "Mona Lisa," a revolutionary makeup technology that his company developed. She vowed to get it back. She went undercover at JEALOUS, the rival company, working as an assistant to Chang Yu Jie, the heartless operation manager/lead makeup artist. While she focused her investigation on him, her romantic interest wandered to his charming half-brother Chang Shao Feng. But unbeknownst to her, the half-brother was the real culprit behind the theft.

The actors are almost the same. We have a relatively poor girl get dropped into the story and the music if mainly from 183 club who acted did much of the music within both dramas.

Student Mizuki Sakurazaka looks like a boy and is treated like a prince at her all-female Seinoibara High School. She also leads the all-girl rock band Burauerozen. They regularly perform at a venue that allows only women. Akira Shiraishi is a student at the all-male Kaizan High School. He's treated like a princess at his school because of his feminine face. Akira then sneaks in to watch Burauerozen. He confesses his love for Mizuki.

Fang Jia Hua is the successor of a business. His dream is to open a chocolate store and be an expert in chocolate. He ends up leaving his business and his family to fulfill his dream. Hong Xi En is someone who spent her days slogging and taking up part time work. One day, she ends up working for him and above all, she has to dress herself as a man for the job.
