this is the most annoying , trivial, childish shallow drama i've ever seen

i couldn't make it
i couldn't keep on watching this rubbish
i started watching it on FF button from ep.07 hoping it's going to be better if i skipped the games parts but that doesn't happen it goes worse

WHAT'S BAD ABOUT THIS DRAMA

1. it's totally about marketing for internet games and they trying to persuade watchers how internet games are useful and great and how the virtual reality is much more useful and better than realistic life
which is totally wrong and bunch of lies
all what you have to do is just seeing kids in schools and how these games affect them in a very harmful way

2. this drama for age 10-15 not more
3. no plot
4. very bad acting away from being natural with totally dead face expression
5. 3/4 the drama inside a repetitive scenes inside the game and outside it
6. the romance was very cold
7. very very very slow pace and boring
8. very detailed in an unnecessary and annoying way
9. i lost my interest totally in ep.15
10. EACH SCENE COULD TAKE MORE THAN 25 SEC. WHICH WAS SUPER BORING AND ANNOYINY
it really gave you the feeling that each scene will last forever, too long with no need
11. i jumped many eps. direct to the end and i missed nothing

WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT THIS DRAMA

literally NOTHING -_-
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME
doesn't recommend at all
i really couldn't believe myself it took that high rate
it's sooooooooooooooooooo overrated

WARNING: STALKING IS NOT LOVE!

One of the worst drama i've ever watched. I give 5.5 only because of Zheng Shuang, the only good thing in this drama. The plot is cute, but the development is totally bad and it results in a toxic story.
In 2019 Zheng Shuang said in an interview she dislikes Wei Wei's character, because she's not someone to whom is possible to relate to, and i have to say she's totally right. The drama miss every point, first of all the feeling of security, like a comfort zone. The main leads have no chemistry at all ( and in my opinion, Yang Yang's portrayal is one of the worst, he's not even so handsome like the movie actor). Their relationship felt forced and stiff. The couple is cold and distant.
XiaoNai is too robotic an mechanical, without any feeling for her. He's clearly not interested in her. And it's creepy the " we are married in the game, so we are dating in real life" thing. He's more like a maniac stalker catching a prey. Every support character is so annoying, but in this drama each characters acts like a 12yo despite being 20-22 yo and college students. It's full of superficiality and toxicity.
XiaoNaoi is the most overrated character, without a reason. He's a robot with no emotional depth, he's arrogant, stiff, idiot, chauvinistic and bossy in a bad way. He literally treats her like an objet. The affection seems forced. Two people that had absolutely no chemistry with each other. Love? Cute? Where? They literally didn't even date, it was a creepy and awkward " we got married in the game, so we are a married couple".
I will never recomment this drama, i would rather recommend the movie, it's way healthier than this.

I have already watched this a second time and I must admit the second time was just as enjoyable as the first one.

The story is very sweet - maybe a bit predictable - but I think the drama is well done and therfore I don't mind that. I like that it is about a computer game and I like that there's both a mix of in game and real life stories in the drama as I think the characters get more depth that way.

I really like the characters and how Wei Wei and Xiao Nai are around each other and around their friends, whom I find very enjoyable to watch as there is some funny scenes.

The music is sometimes a bit weird but I will admit that it also made me smile sometimes as it just made some scenes more fun to watch.

Another thing I found a bit weird are the kissing scenes, but after I read the novel I understand why they happen like that a bit more.

All in all I really love this drama and I can't stop smilling through all 30 episodes! You can't help but get in a good mood by watching it - therfore the high rating.

Review of "Love O2O"

- This was my first C-Drama and my first drama in genereal and boy am I glad it was!!! This really hit it off with me. I mean, the reason I came to love strong female leads is because of Wei Wei. She is so confident and elegant but at the same time a total badass when the time comes and god I love her!!! Yang Yang was also my first drama crush. He was so damn handsome and sometimes he would say something that was supppsed to be cringey and mushy but it just sounded so smoothe and nice coming from him.
- The soundtrack was just amazing, and that's coming from someone who usaually lets the soundtrack fade away until it basically just becomes background music. It had this eretheal feeling to it and just made the whole series better to enjoy.
- Usually I'm not a re-watcher, mostly because since I have already seen the show that I know all the twists and turns and love affairs, but for this series I have re-watched this at least 2 times.
- Overall, it was a great startoff drama and I am forever grateful to netflix for putting this in my reccommended.

Romance over storyline and a Mary Sue as well

A lot of people had good things to say about this drama and while I am not one of them, it wasn't a horrible show. This show seems to value the romance over any actual storyline. Not an unpopular way to go, just not my favorite choice. I play MMORPGs and I was kind of excited to see where they went with this, but it wasn't very well done.

First off, the FL was boring and unimpressive. Other than the fact that she was supposed to be super pretty, she didn't seem to do anything that well. They did not focus on her intellect or achievements beyond the simpliest. She was a good player in the game, supposedly, but in the end had to be assisted by her boyfriend. It even made a point that she was better than her first in game husband but later she needs her new in game husband and boyfriend to do everything for her. Her dreams and asperations were not discussed. She didn't seem to be anymore impressive in school than her female counterparts, but still seemed to need help from her boyfriend and his friends. Are they all geniuses or do they just think men are naturally better than women at everything? Also, they kept talking about bullying a weak girl in the game, then why did they also keep talking about how men often played as women in the game and she was accused of being a man in real life? If you can't tell if it's a boy or a girl just by their character on the screen, then why talk about how it's bad to bully a girl in the game? That's just plain stupid and sexist.

A Mary Sue (very different from Mary Jane, in case you are wondering), is the type of character who is supposed to be so cool and awesome and wonderful, but then when you look at the actual story, they are just there to be acted upon instead of doing anything for themselves. Especially if there is a man around to help them. As soon as their boyfriend comes into the room, their brains drip out of their ears and they suddenly become useless as human beings and are only supposed to be eye candy. This is the FL of this drama in a nutshell. By the way, someone get that girl a sandwich. She's literally skin and bones. I was worried that she was going to die of malnutrition at any moment. The other girls in the drama are still thin and beautiful, but somehow manage to look more healthy. This FL was so thin, I was actually wondering if she had an eating disorder and needed to see a doctor. This beauty standard is really unhealthy. Also, the second FL, who is her best friend is supposed to be ugly ... they stated it several times, but she was far from. Why call someone ugly but get a beautiful girl to play the part? If she's supposed to be ugly, get a girl who isn't beautiful. If she's pretty, just don't bring it up and don't make a point of calling her ugly.

Okay, now to the ML. Oh my. Handsome, check. Smart to the power of ten, check. Perfect, we get it. Does he have to be so arrogant? He seems to think he can do no wrong and he's got the plot armor to prove it. Why not make him a real person? As a character, he didn't have any growth. He was the same, beginning to end. It was hard to relate to him at all. I've seen this actor in some other dramas and with the exception of "You Are My Glory," he was pretty much typecast. Okay, he was also typecast in "You Are My Glory," but he wasn't as wooden. He had flaws and worries and doubts. I could relate to him in that drama. In this drama, he was unrelatable. Smile once in a while. Laugh. Be sad and dishearted when things go wrong. Maybe have a goofy grin or lose a game and get upset once in a while. By the way, feed your girlfriend, she's starving.

I didn't really pay attention to the OST. Sorry, this one didn't really have anything great or anything bad. It was just middle of the road. Unimpressive but not distracting. Since I didn't love watching it the first time, I don't think it has a high rewatch value. Sorry, but for me, this drama just didn't meet my expectations. All of that being said, it was not a horrible show with no redeeming value. There are some funny moments. They was at least one time when the ML is talking to the idiot second ML and he asks if ML ever doubted FL. He said something like, of course, I didn't doubt her. She's my girl. While he did have plot armor, so he could say that with confidence, I did think that was pretty cool. If you doubt your girl, why are you dating her? So at least one redeeming moment in a sea of banality.

This is the first time I'm writing a review for a drama. I just had to write one because this drama amaze me on so many ways.

I usually watch more of Korean dramas but decided to give this drama a try when many of my friends were watching it. I didn't expect anything much because I never really watch a modern C-drama. At this point I've only watch the ones set in old time.

This is the first time where I've watch a drama with a plot like this, it was very interesting and it got me hooked right on the first episode, There was not cliches rich moms nor a super jealous and evil second lead but it still carry on and keep the audience interested in the plot. The editing for the game world was beautiful, the outfit was great.

Now onto the couple. Their chemistry super adorable, they got me feeling jealous that I don't a BF, watching them blessed my soul. The reason why I liked this couple is because they have trust in their relationship so there was nothing that could break them apart. Others drama that I've watched have so many misunderstanding between the couple, it got me frustated. They both are such a good looking couple.

I'm currently rewatching this drama again because it's so good. The only other drama that had this effect on me was Love in Tokyo and Reply 1988.

A cute C-Drama to start with!

This was my first c-drama back in 2016 and I have to say it's just one of the few dramas that I still love! In my opinion it was well-paced and really sweet, albeit I wish there were more bits and pieces about them being in-game in the later parts of the series since I'm a gamer myself.

It was really light to watch since the story was mostly smooth. Though if I had to nitpick it was pretty annoying that they had to dub over some scenes and it looked very out of sync, but most dramas do dubs anyway.

A pretty refreshing watch and easy to start out with if this is your first few times getting into modern C-Dramas. I liked the series so much I actually purchased the physical book for Love O2O :>

Actually, I accidentally came across this series. However, I am very pleased that I have decided to watch this drama.
The plot is exactly as one would expect from such a drama. It might seem that this is a not the case. On the contrary. The drama, although with a very popular motif, was recorded superbly. Can attract attention. While watching it, you can relax and let your imagination run wild. Teenagers in particular. The sweet story between the two main characters is brilliant. The drama is most recommendable. It is worth seeing.

An easy watch that leaves you with a fluffy feeling.

I'm surprised how many people scored this badly but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I've not read the source material but did watch the movie, which was not good. The drama is far superior.
This drama does follow some tropes but is overall good and clean. Whenever i just want to watch something that does not use too much brain power (other than reading subtitles) and will leave me feeling good, i rewatch Love O2O. I've rewatched atleast 4 times. And I don't even skip episodes! Also, i now have an appreciation for dramas with Yang Yang in them.

1st review!

despite not the first drama i watched and definitely the most recent one..id like to give honor to LOVE O2O my first critique... before anything else..I have not heard or watched the movie (one smile is very alluring) nor read the novel in Wattpad...it was purely coincidental since i was browsing though YouTube what to watch since i was binge watching Asian dramas... and heaven sent me this wonderful series..at first i was confused what is happening..i didn't know that it is game related (yes i haven't read the synopsis either).. i just literally gambled watching this without prior notice to myself...haha anyway, i gambled..then i dint finish the first episode...i was bored watching it..but since i give second chances (even in love haha)...i then proceeded to watch the 2nd episode..then, there i was.. trying to understand whats happening despite the confusion.. haha the wedding happened..maybe it was me pissed off with the enchantress and that bitchy sidekick of hers that made me watch this series...then i was curious how they will meet in real life knowing that..ehem SPOILER ALERT.. ok ok..i wont say anything further! hahaha the point is...after that...i fell in love gradually.. then noticing i was getting further and further in the story and i cant stop watching! i have a sucker for not giving perfect score...meaning that is the best i can offer to something..hey, nobody's perfect right? hehe

It was okay...

This show is for young hip adults, which is fine... I enjoyed it... I like the leads --- well, i like the female lead only from the neck up... She looked like a 12-year old anorexic... I wish she didnt wear those shorts and short skirts, her legs were ghastly thin... I cringed each time i saw them... Erxi was so annoying i muted it when she talked... Bur overall, it was okay... No rewatch value...

Honestly, mine would be an unpopular opinion.

I saw the movie version first before this so I had some comparisons.

Firstly, Angelababy took her role as WeiWei very natural. It's like she owned it. ZS on the other hand doesn't feel right for the role. She's awkward to watch, tho she looked close to the age of Wei Wei, it's bothering to keep watching her. Often times, she is busy pouting all over the screen than to actually embodies Weiwei's natural charm. She is also awkward at kissing. Also, there's a big change in plots between the two versions, the Wei Wei and Xiao Nai in the movie gives off a real and natural feeling that they are indeed both hot bods and smart bods of their department/campus.

Secondly, I would prefer the movie's take on the gaming wardrobe of the characters especially of WW and XN. In the story, they are part of their server's leaderboard and are considered elite players. This descriptions can be easily distinguised by looking at their equipments and dresses unlike the drama version. I can say this coz I am a gamer too.

Thirdly, why I did not pretty much rave all over this drama is because the other supporting characters (especially KO-Mei couple and ErXi-CaoGuang couple) are more interesting to see on screen than the actual main leads.

Lastly, since the drama is longer than the movie, each episode seems dragging and boring to watch. If not because of the occassional gaming scenes, I would probably already dropped it. They are trying to slowly transition and progress in the story but sadly it is wasteful. The plot doesn't suggest a complex storyline nor rooms for intense twists. It is only a simple and straight flatline of story so getting it into a 30 episode is already a drag. (The main cast did not even help making it more comfy to watch, except YangYang is undeniably very charming but that is just it)

Probably if Angelababy was casted as WeiWei in the drama version, everything would be good or there's a significant change and uplift in the overall feels of the drama.
