They are both similar stories,just that the newer one is a remake of the older one.Tik won many Viewers hearts in the 2001 version in the role of the rebellious younger brother Barupah.

Both stories are much Mafia related,where the leading males have close bond with their Mafia bosses.

Both about the mafia. Have similar romance. ML and his brother are on opposite sides of the law. Both shows are about cops and criminals. Cheewit forcuses more on the criminal side where as the brothers shows both sides.

Same scenario but different plot, Loving Brothers turned to apparent bitter enemies in the Rookie Cop -> Outlaw scenario.
