You add in Falcon's awesome acting skills along with J's craziness then you have a combination that can't be beat. If you like shows like LOST or 24 then you would love this drama. And it helps that you can spend 11 episodes looking at Narimiya Hiroki's good looking face.

I was very pleased with the outcome as I hadn't really read up much on reviews for this series and just took a gamble with the summary. The action was very well played out and the slow scenes didn't make you want to gouge out your eyes. It was easy transitions that kept you interested in what was going to happen next.
Though the whole falcon flying through to the zone was unappealing and probably the most boring part of the series but it added its own signature touch that others may feel unique and creative. This drama made one feel the unbearable emotions that the characters themselves felt, the actors did an excellent job in this one and hit home with the audience in a top-notch performance.
When I revisit this series, and I definitely will in the near future, I look forward to coming back to this review and revising it as I see fit. Overall I found this drama to be in my top 10 and with one of the best action dramas I have seen yet

Takagi Fujimaru (Miura Haruma) is a is an ordinary high school student, besides the fact that he is a genius hacker, and the FBI (or THIRD-i watevs) constantly seeks him out for help. This time, there is a threat of a biological weapon being released into Tokyo, called Bloody X, and it can literally wipe out the entire city. So they use Takagi (Falcon is his nickname) to help stop this terrorist attack. Bloody Monday is so much more than this brief summary I've provided. There are twists beyond twists, and it's honestly so much fun to watch.
Who can you trust? That's a question that haunts all the characters in this drama. I only have one issue with Bloody Monday, and it's an issue that you can either overlook or will make you roll ur eyes at this drama: some of the twists are beyond ridiculous. I won't spoil anything, but part of the fun in watching these types of dramas is to speculate and come up with predictions of how things will go down. There's no real or true explanation to the final twist of this drama. I just went along with it, but I for one know when to admit that a drama could've done better than that. I think Bloody Monday was originally a manga, so I guess it's the manga author's fault for just being lazy, but that doesn't deter my enjoyment of the drama. It was still very well acted. The music played out just right. And as I stated before, the rewatch value is very high, you can rewatch this without getting bored.
One more thing I have to say before I end this review. I honestly truly do not know why Sato Takeru is listed as a main role, while Narimiya Hiroki (who stole this drama) isn't even on the main page. Sato Takeru was great too, but he had more of a supporting role to me. So if u plan to watch Bloody Monday for Sato Takeru, just know his role wasn't as significant as the others (he's Takagi's best friend).
Anyways, I absolutely recommend this drama. It's fun to watch, and such a great jdrama to marathon!

During the last episodes, when there appeared false K. I was shocked, but when the true intetity was uncovered, I was totally shocked. To be fair, it was the only ony thing, which doesn't suit there. I would like to it will be Otoya and then a terrorist battle between brothers. Ok.. Ok.. It is only my alternative screenplay.

As for the story, it is a genre that I love, not so much for the pure action but the part about suspense, thriller, hackers and virus, oh it's exactly how I like it and this drama has done everything how it should be, the right amount of so many various genres. The most important of all, it hasn't been boring not one single moment (I only had this similar exited feeling for the drama Two weeks) and whole the time it was an intelligent drama with so many unexpected events that at one time I was doubting in everyone, even in Haruma. ;-)
And above all that music was good, that main song is so great and fits perfectly in the drama. I'll be watching this drama for sure once more in the future, it gives me a good vibe. I can't wait to see Bloody Monday 2.
Honestly I can't think of a reason why someone wouldn't like this drama so yes, I'm recommending it for all of you as a very enjoyable and fantastic one.

Smart drama
The first episode is quite long but it gives a lot of details about the characters and the story. I liked a lot that every episode was suspenseful. The lead character had a lot of aces up his sleeve and that made the drama a very interesting and smart drama. The acting was very good, liked also the villain's acting!
The music was good, no complaints about it.
As for the rewatch value, I would watch again some moments from it because of the cliffhangers.
Looking forward to the 2nd season!

I can't remember the last time I was this happy that the bad guy got away! Over the course of the drama I really came to love J. Was he a murderer? Sure he was. Was he unhinged? You betcha. Did I adore him? Muchly!!!This drama was so over the top and so crazy in certain moments but, goodness gracious, did they keep the twists coming! The twist with Takagi's dad! The twist with J and Otoya! The twist with the identity of K! The twist with Otoya's grandfather at the end!!!
The last ep in particular had so much to unpack. I think my favorite part was the kidnapping of Otoya. The way Takagi rushed to his best friend's rescue, his despair, partially fueled by his guilt of not having trusted Otoya before. And then the scene with Otoya and J...! When you compare it to how carelessly J sacrificed K, the way he treated Otoya was very different. I mean, who lets his henchmen drive his hostage safely back home?
The relationships between Takagi & J, Takagi & Otoya, and Otoya & J... So fascinating! They were all so tangled together! It was Takagi who put stop to the terrorist attack 2 years ago which put J's father in prison which led to Otoya's grandfather faking J's death to save J from prison which led to Otoya's mother's suicide... Gosh!
All the glaring inaccuracies and certain characters' dumb decisions aside, the main plot was so smart and the reveals that kept coming kept me on the edge of my seat! I loved it!

Amazing!
Here I am going to say what I really like about the drama and what I dislike!my
STORY: The story is actually amazing. I was hesitating so much before watching this drama because I am not a fan of computer science dramas but this one was once again amazing. I got hooked on it from start. I know there are some scenes that seem a bit childish but it gets covered in the deep story.
ACTING: Of course acting is one of the major factor for my rating. Every one of the actors and I literally mean everyone of the actor depict their characters very well.
MUSIC: Oh my! It was amazing. I really loved it a lot. the lyrics was very soothing with a bit of sadness and happiness.
REWATCH VALUE: I would love to. I am surely gonna watch this again.
OVERALL: I would recommend this to everyone including the ones whoa are not fan of hacking because there is more to it other than hacking. The emotional scenes, the scene of losing someone important to you and how it feels to chose between the person important to you and the whole country.
Here I end this review,
I know I used the word 'Amazing' a lot but this drama deserves it.
Also Sorry if there are mistakes in my vocabulary.

Acting/Cast: When I saw the two main leads I felt like this drama was going to be good. I thought everyone was perfect for each role.
Music: The ost during those times where Falcon has to hack into something or something big is going to happen made it great. The music in the end of each episode was alright.
Rewatch: I would love to watch it again but then I would remember who that person was and if they died or not. But when I would rewatch it again I would feel the tense of it again which makes it cool to rewatch.

I've become a heavy Korean drama watcher and have watched two Chinese dramas. One I dropped, the other I was angry with because it wasn't going to be finished. I think I watched about 6 Japanese dramas-this being one of them. I watched three and dropped three. I was going to drop this one but I stuck it out.I hate that I fell for the positive reviews but those reviews were well over 13 years ago and it was probably more inspiring back then.
I guess I didn't really care for this because the resolution was hard on the eyes. A lot of facial close ups, shakiness and loud music in the wrong places. I noticed Japanese dramas are known to have this kind of style in every drama that I've seen so far.
I also really really hated the men's hairstyles. The unkempt or wig look made them look horrible.
The story line was good but there was a lot going on and a lot left out. The plot dealing with the dad was all over the place. The sister's supposedly health issue wasn't necessary and her getting kidnapped on several occasions was dry.
I most definitely hated the male villain. He just looked like a evil duck trying too hard to pretend to be a bad guy. The female villain was just uninspiring. So she was picked because of her looks and that's all she used her skills on. I was so hoping she would get shot in between the eyes but alas...she's in the sequel.
There's more I would love to add but it will turn into a really cranky review. With that being said I think I will give Bloody Monday 2 a hard pass.
