I've become a heavy Korean drama watcher and have watched two Chinese dramas. One I dropped, the other I was angry with because it wasn't going to be finished. I think I watched about 6 Japanese dramas-this being one of them. I watched three and dropped three. I was going to drop this one but I stuck it out.
I hate that I fell for the positive reviews but those reviews were well over 13 years ago and it was probably more inspiring back then.
I guess I didn't really care for this because the resolution was hard on the eyes. A lot of facial close ups, shakiness and loud music in the wrong places. I noticed Japanese dramas are known to have this kind of style in every drama that I've seen so far.
I also really really hated the men's hairstyles. The unkempt or wig look made them look horrible.
The story line was good but there was a lot going on and a lot left out. The plot dealing with the dad was all over the place. The sister's supposedly health issue wasn't necessary and her getting kidnapped on several occasions was dry.
I most definitely hated the male villain. He just looked like a evil duck trying too hard to pretend to be a bad guy. The female villain was just uninspiring. So she was picked because of her looks and that's all she used her skills on. I was so hoping she would get shot in between the eyes but alas...she's in the sequel.
There's more I would love to add but it will turn into a really cranky review. With that being said I think I will give Bloody Monday 2 a hard pass.
