Lost and Love (2015)

Both movies are based on real life stories about Chinese parents and their abducted children. Both abductions have to do with child trafficking, which is a major problem in China. In both of these movies parents are portrayed that in the movie are still searching for their child but in real life have finally found their son back after years of searching!

Both movies are about parents looking for their kidnapped son in China.

Kind of remind me of a man rode his motocycle all over the country in searching for somebody. Amazing story

Love one separated and long searching. The world is big. Old time no digital communication, almost impossible. When found it could be too late, could be decades later…long awaiting

They both have the genre that the young innocent baby boy ended up in the hand of illegal black market baby selling business. It is so sad that people in this society still selling baby to make money.

Both films tackle missing children and the desperate, long struggle their parents go through trying to find them.

I think that Kikujiro & Lost and Love have lot of similarities, the first one is that they are both kind of Road movies, we got to travel with them, visiting, Japan and its sceneries in Kikujiro and the same with Lost and Love but this time in China. Two protagonists (Kikujiro with Masao) and (Lei Ze Kuang with Zeng Shuai) are looking for someone and in that purpose they have to go on a long journey, they meet many people on the road, funny, kind but also some weird and crazy people as well.
Cinematography is breathtaking in both movies too.

Only the genres are a bit different cause Kikujiro is more funny and crazy while Lost and Love has a sad but very heartwarming tone. Two gems in my opinion;
