The movie covers their cute moments of how they met in university and how they fell in love like it was fate. The movie is shot in Italy and in China with one of the most beautiful cinematography ever.
There is MINIMAL DUBBING, lee joon gi was speaking Korean most of the time, or all the time, so it was sooooo good to hear.
Even though the movie is set In a melodramatic tone, it still had a lot of heartwarming fun moments.
One of the cutest chemi I've seen on screen.
Shampoo gives 8.7/10
Movie quotes:
" you wanna go to Italy to learn opera when you can't even sing the birthday song in tune"

I think it's safe to say this storyline has been done a million times. The plot is by no means unique, but I still found myself anticipating the events to come. The execution of the the story, I thought, was done really well. If you're impatient, you may be tempted to drop it at the beginning, just because they present a series of events that happen so quickly you don't even know what's happening. That is actually what I really appreciated though, because the second half of the movie focuses on unfolding the previously introduced scenes and connecting everything together in a sort of genius way.
Lee Joon Gi was of course, amazing as always (I may be a bit biased). He's honestly one of the best actors I've seen. His acting was extremely natural, even for parts that required him to speak in mandarin, which just proves how talented he is. Zhou DongYu's acting was pretty good considering it was one of her first roles. I didn't particularly like her character though because it seems as though the writers wanted to make her more complex, but instead she seemed a bit irrational and off putting.
I loved the music! For a While by Lee Joon Gi was played in the movie which was great. Unfortunately I can't post the Chinese title on here, but the title of the main track can be found on the Chinese wikipedia page for this movie. It took me forever to find!
Overall, I really loved it and would definitely rewatch. The cinematography was absolutely beautiful and you could really see the artistic intent behind each shot. Sure the movie isn't original, but it still made me an emotional mess and more of a potato for the entirety of the it (and maybe 10 minutes after as I contemplated the meaning of life). I wholeheartedly recommend it if you're into cheesy (in a good way) tearjerkers ^.^

Good movie overall, must watch!! Very cute scenes but expect sad moments. Really good acting, hight aspect of this movie was to hear the korean and chinese with no dubbing (sooo nice, it sound so convincing and at the same time so unusual). Visualy cenary very good and pleasant shots both of china and italy and beautiful soundtrack. the quality of the shots and the story line is very nice and has something special, almost like the story cliche doesn't matter overall because of some special scenes (don't want to be spoiler hahaha). Wanna watch a movie which is both Chinese & Korean?
three-country collaboration - Cliche Plot -set in Shanghai and Sicily- not worth itIn de first half of de film, de viewer is left really confused about de entire plot & really not being able 2 empathize wid de heartbreak dat the female lead is supposedly going through.De movie is pretty painless, wid de formula livened up by shifting the perspective from one character to another at the halfway point, triggering some revelations.
VERDICT _ Centred on the difficulty of saying goodbye to loved ones, the film is at its best (and occasionally moving) when being simple and unaffected, avoiding generic gushiness.

•Acting-Lee joon gi yes, he keeps you sit till the end of the movie. As Korean exchange student he was nice, speaking korean most of the time with a little chinese.Yes there was no dubbing or if there was it didn’t feel like.
His dancing sequence in the canteen was the best for me.
Zhou dong you as xiao yu was ok, nothing so exciting with the expression.
•Music-its average, "for a while"is only worth listening.
•Rewatch- its a no for me.

Best Chinese International Romance Movie.
So, the story is actually so-so, a common melodrama where ml breaks up bcoz some disease and still cares for fl until he eventually died. Very common, but I never get bored cuz it is very well done by the actors and prod. team. The acting is PERFECT. The acting struggle is very obvious, bcoz of the language barrier, and there's NO DUBBING. Lee Joon Gi's chinese is 90% perfect, with only some missed tones (I won't lie coz I am a chinese speaker). The korean spoken by the chinese cast is also perfect. The feelings are so real and their romance is sweet.
Nice music, no over-mellow music and good music production
Definitely rewatch if I'm bored.

A Sad Movie with A Happy Ending
This movie is a sad story cause it tells us about death scenery. Of course I cried. Who wouldn't?But the way they told us about how should we move on from grievance is so endearing and powerful.
The story came up with two povs, from the FL side first then the ML. How they started their relationship until how they broke up. And what I love most is how did the ML come up with that idea to prepare his death bed and to prepare his girlfriend's mentality after his death.
Afterall it's a very good and interesting movie to watch. And I can say, endearing at the same time. Cause this movie have told us about looking forward to the future. Eventho our loved ones is gone, and not coming back aymore.
So please watch it, esp if you have the same experience maybe, you'll be soo relatable.

Left up in the air!
A Chinese/Korean collaboration - interesting, and with LJG - it was a film firmly on my watch list. The film started off very well and captured my interest from the beginning but then somewhere along the way it lost its direction and it became a little confusing as to what was actually going on as there seemed to be chunks of information that the viewer was not provided with and we were left to draw our own conclusions about certain elements of the story , for example when did he tell the neighbour downstairs what was happening to him - did I blink and miss that? Was the whole company aware of his 'secret' except his girlfriend? As for the ending, I was left completely dumbstruck.. cheated.. couldn't work out whether he had really gone or he was suddenly going to turn up - "ta da!"Lots of questions unanswered so sadly, despite LJG, and the potential the film had, disappointed.
