So far the best drama i have watched upon now

Kill me, heal me is definetly my preferred drama up to now, I have been so addictef that I have already rewatched it, even if I prefer to discover new things rather than rewatching. Indeed, It took me some months to dedide to watch it,because I was afraid it was this kind of heavy plots, only aiming to make us cry.

What do I like most about it?

First of all, the story. The plot is different , the character suffering from D.I.D. will showcase seven different personalities developped from a childhood trauma and he will be helped by a female assistant in psychiastry and they will eventually fall deeply in love. We will not find here the toxic 2FL with childish and possessive behavior , an usual cliché in asian drama. The 2FL will try to conquer ML but she will not make damage to FL. ML and FL will have a mature relationship, in spite of their intrinsic difficulties caused by sad background and family”s adversities. FL is an intelligent and attentive to ML. The main personnality of ML is also sweet and respectful to FL. Their love is so cute and intense, beautiful to be seen.

Second, the actors. Ji Sung ’s acting is stellar, his personnalities are so perfectly constructed, he goes from the comedy to the intense drama, the strentght of his gazes. And besides he is so handsome, so charming. The other handsome actor, Park Seo Joon , is also great in his role and it is delightful to see both playing together, their scenes are unforgetables. I found that Hwang Jung Eum was very funny, but sometimes her play was over-acted or not convincing, specially as she cried. But her personnality added a touch of charm to the movie. She is quite charismatic. I also loved the kids, I suppose director’S work was outstanding.

Third , the OST. I listen mostly to classical music and jazz in my daily life. And even if the style of music is far from what I eat, this OST hooked in my head, it was really perfect to the movie. I want to learn the lyrics little by lityle, because it is in my head & heart, but too fast for my absence of Koreal langage level.

Besides, the main characters were beautiful and well constructed. The ML’S personnalities were so impressive, so rich. As well as the childhood relationship between main lead couple.

/*SPOILER*/

The ending is also original and pleasant.

I will surely rewatch it again one of these days.

Hard to get into, but harder to let go

When I first began this drama, I was really turned off by the ridiculous humor of the show. Not gonna lie, I was also incredibly confused at first and totally had to rewatch the first half hour several times just to understand what was happening. The show starts off in a really *intense* manner with lots of screaming and unnecessary fighting which could deter some viewers from the drama, but it does significantly calm down the farther into the drama you get, much to my relief. And yes, I am sadly one of those people that is going to tell you that the female lead's screaming doesn't get better and DOES get on my nerves just a bit. I learned to deal with it, but I still kinda cringed every time she said something in an unnecessarily loud voice. There wasn't all that much second male lead action going on, and I do believe it would be kinda weird if he ever made a move on her, anyway, so it's all good. The storyline, therefore, almost exclusively focuses on cultivating the relationship between Cha Dohyun and Oh Rijin, although this drama is one heck of a confusing "slow burn" (?can I even call it that, though?) Although I almost left because of the humor, it is what partially made me stay and enjoy the drama. The ridiculousness of it grows on you and the amount of laughs they managed to pull out of Cha Dohyun's mentally illness was surprisingly high. I felt like we got to get to know all the personalities quite a bit, and there was a lot of character development, especially in one personality in particular. They ended up introducing a really complicated family mystery/cover-up story toward the end of the drama, and I cannot lie, they completely lost me and I still cannot for the life of me tell you what the heck went on 21 years ago, cause I tuned out of that storyline QUICK. Overall, though, this drama was worth watching, and it definitely got quite a few laughs out of me. I loved all the characters soo much, and this was just a wonderful blend of angst, humor, and romance. PS: ls Dohyun (or the actor whose name I do not remember) not the HOTTEST freaking person ever? SWOON 🙈

Amazing Drama That I Honestly Recommend

Let me keep this short.

So I basically delayed watching this drama for months. It just stayed on my watch list. I realised how big of a mistake that was when I started watching. The story and acting were both BRILLIANT! Not to mention that I fell in love with the ost... Although the lead actress's acting wasn't my cup of tea in a few small places, I'm guessing that was there for comedic relief.

The thing I did feel a little off about, which is the only reason I didn't give it a 10/10, was that in many areas the scenes were dragged out far longer than needed. Other than that, the series really couldn't have been better.

It was a lovely break from the world and handled many topics in a digestible way. Overall this has been one of my favourite series so far!

Yes, Yes, Yes.... I must admit, Ji Sung - you are totally awesome and super talented actor and I have to say, you never disappoint! Of course Hwang Jung Eum you are super talented and perfect to act with JS at all the times to and I mean that!

Finally, I made some time to watch this series (long overdue I know) and I can clap for plot, acting, music, and all wonderful production!
I am still amazed how talented JS is to switch form one personality to another (and love all of them) is simply pure talent! Amazing! Brilliant! Perfection!

If you have not watch KMHM yet, you should watch it asap. I waited too long!
I have to admit, the best drama watched by Ji Sung is "Secret" for me, but this one is right after!

I cant not say enough about this series because I want you to watch it and judge yourself that is why I am not saying no more except - I loved it!..... now it's your turn to love it too.

First time writing a review, but this drama is definitely one so good that it managed to drag me away from my lazy-as-heck demeanor, get on my laptop and write a review. This drama was also one that managed to haunt me at school, and trust me it was completely torture, having to wait for school to finish before I could go home, get on my laptop, and continue the series.

Before you read, I want you to know that I am not new in the drama world, and that I am a very picky watcher. If I don't like the start of a drama, I drop it. That's just how picky I am.
-
This drama had it all. All. No joke. What made me stay throughout the entire series wasn't just because there was something I liked about the show, it was because I liked everything about the show.
I watched the series on KissAsian, which is where I usually view dramas too, and would you honestly believe me if I said that I was extremely impatient when they showed me the Are You Human verification thing? Yes, it was THAT good.

The plot was something really creative. The story progressed so well and there were lots and lots of fresh twists nobody expected to happen throughout the entire series. There wasn't a single episode which made me feel a slightest bit of boredom. Everything was so neat and perfect. And don't get me started on the cast. I fell in love with how Ji Sung portrayed each and every character so distinctively. Seven personalities isn't something easy to pull off, oh lord when he cried I wanted to cry too. Kudos to him! Hwang Jung Eum did a really good job too. Fell in love with her character. Her interactions with Shin Se Gi was gold. [Small note: I think us female viewers should agree on one thing; Shin Se Gi is a hot beast and we all fell for him.] Park Seo Joon did a very good job! He was very funny.

This drama is categorized into a Melodrama, and it does live up to it's genre. Many people protested on the first episode because they were annoyed with the main female lead screaming. I wasn't bothered by it at all, I prefer those types of girls but everyone has their own tastes. But what I want you to know is how amazing the character development was. If you watched it well, you'd see how she grows more mature and there's this spark in her eyes after discovering the truth about her past, a spark that made it as if she'd been through hell. She convinced me that her life was so horrible, and as a watcher, I agree that it has been hell indeed.

Another thing, I really dislike it when a drama just sort of flopped in the middle. Some dramas have this strong lead in the beginning but then they cry every episode. I can guarantee you that the male and female leads of this drama do cry often, but trust me, you'd cry too.

Why? Because they had been through real shit. Because the actors made the sadness so convincing that you would slowly feel your heart break too. Because they had a reason to really cry and break down after all they've been through. Because they can't seem to find happiness.

The music was good. Flexible, and some people might think that they used one of the OSTs way too much, but it was fine. I didn't feel bored of hearing the same tune over and over again. I do not know why, it's just that good.

Rewatch value? Hey, this might be one of the few dramas i'd actually rewatch. YES, IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DRAMA.
-
Why are you still here? Go watch the drama before you regret it!

Out of the many kdramas I've watched so far, this was the one and only I rewatched it immediately after finishing it because I felt like I couldn't move on from it.

The story was superb, a great blend of life lessons, comedy, romance and suspense. 10/10 acting from jisung, its the very first drama I watched of him and he's already at the top of my favourite actors list. His portrayal of all the multiple personalities was simply superb. In my opinion, it's worth it to watch this drama purely for his acting even

Auditory hallucination is still my earworm up till today and I finished this drama around 3 weeks ago.

All in all, simply satisfying and you definitely have to watch it if you haven't already!

It gets there, slowly. The payoff is not bad.

In a word, I'd say this show is [entertaining].

I don't usually bother to watch Asian romance dramas because they're a dime-a-dozen imo. There's always a pretty standard cutout/copy/paste idea for female leads in Asian dramas because of the intent to keep the women portrayed as 'pure' or 'likeable' so the ML's will inevitably fall for them, which makes the genre fall flat for me. There's nothing interesting or original about basic mould characters like that. Ngl, this show did have many of those same issues, but it also managed to avoid some, which made it less frustrating to sit through.
But let's begin with;

THE GOOD;
- The ML (Ji-Sung)'s acting is an entertaining, visual and physically expressive pleasure to watch from start to finish. He took his roles and really went for it in each one. You can tell he was enjoying the challenge and he met it head on and aced it.
- While the FL didn't win me over in any major way, she wasn't aggravating and by the end, I was supportive of the ML and FL getting together, which is usually the whole point of a romance drama, right? So they achieved that.
- ML and FL lead chemistry seemed fine too, wasn't weird or forced. More on the sweet awkward side.
- The ML's secondary love interest was not that bad, they didn't make her totally shit. I actually kind of liked her.
- The acting of the whole cast passes muster for sure.
- The plot was actually convoluted and confusing, but not in a bad way. I actually had to rethink a few things, which I wasn't expecting.
- The show has a nice visual aesthetic, very easy on the eyes. The scenes and sets are modern and clean but not too unnatural and not too bright, with a good wardrobe department outfitting everyone suitably and the make up on the men and women isn't overdone either.
- Even though the crux of this show seems to be a cheesy childhood love turned adult romance, there was plenty else going on that it didn't make it eye rolling.
- It's funny. I always appreciate any show that can deliver some humor.
- The personalities are all quite interesting and are mostly well fleshed out.

THE BAD
- As Yo Na says, the FL is LOUD (loud, loud). Randomly and often unnecessarily. Also, the way she cries is very, uh, for lack of a better word, I'd say, unnattractive. It's like how a kid cries when they can't get their way, so they'll just burst into tears and stand or sit and openly, loudly cry and sniff and cry and scrunch their face up. That's how she cries. Maybe they cast her to cry like that because they thought it was cute? It's not cute. This made it very hard to feel bad for her in those moments.
- The music is not bad to listen to, except when it's played six times in an hour long episode and very loudly for very long during every single 'moment' the characters are having. Whether it's good or bad, the music just plays and plays and plays and NO. Editor, please pick your moments. 9 out of 10 emotional scenes were stifled by the music playing. Again, it made it hard for me to feel bad for the ML and FL during their emotional struggles and successes.
- The show has way too many episodes and a lot (I MEAN A LOT) of time is taken up by drawn out looks, exaggerated lean ins and flashback after flashback after flashback and more flashbacks. Again, editors, pick your moments. Shoving a flashback scene of a sad moment in my face ten times in each episodes means by the time you actually bring the plot home, that scene is an eyesore and I'm itching to SKIP chunks of the never ending musical flashback montage.
- In contrast, the last two episodes feel too rushed.
- Honestly, Ri On falling fall Ri Jin makes more sense than Shin Se Gi falling for her. Ri On spent almost everyday of his life with her knowing they weren't related and developing feelings all the way into adulthood, while Shin Se Gi spent a few months playing with her as kids and never got over it. I'm not a fan of 'childhood love' in general, it's weird and feels dumb, and that particular angle in this show was no exception. But at least they made up for this by making Cha Do Hyun grow to like and then love her at a more gradual pace.
- Cha Do Hyun's father not being weak and emaciated after being in a coma for 21 years was a total fail.

THE UGLY
- Episode 18 had the dumbest most nonsensical scene I've seen in a long time. The scene where Shin Se Gi drives with Ri Jin to the warehouse to see Alex and then not only does he accept her saying she'll go in, but the fact that she offers such a stupid thing is just ridiculous. The writers were obviously trying too hard to set up another 'Shin Se Gi is a badass but also a lovesick simp/Ri Jin has the power to call Do Hyun out on command' moment, which, fine, whatever, but it was too forced and unnatural in this scene to do something so plainly stupid. It would have made more sense for her to 'command' Shin Se Gi to stay put WITH HER while they both waited for Ahn to show up, then she could have gone in with Ahn if she wanted Shin Se Gi to stay outside, not go in by herself like what idiot girl would suggest such a stupid thing??? She's not a cop or trained to do something like that. Ugh. I was already 18 eps in though, or I swear, if it'd happened earlier I might have bailed. That's just bad form on the writers' part. Don't try so hard to create hardships bonding moments between your leads, there's a lot to be said for organically developed scenarios. That was not one of them. It was like Shin Se Gi lost his balls and brain in three seconds flat letting her go in there alone.

OVERALL

It's not a bad watch in the end. It's actually fun and entertaining if you have the patience for so many long eps in this genre. I won't ever watch it again though, because it's exhaustively long and I wasn't invested tbh. I didn't actually catch any feels for the characters even after so many episodes which is not a winning feature of a drama. So, you know, watch it once for the heck of it, or if you like long drawn out slow build cheesy romances that you know will have a happy ending, or if you really like Ji Sung.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Shin Se Gi dramatically saying "If you won't have me, don't touch me." and pushing Ri Jin's hands off him like a diva. What a character! xD
- Ri On meeting an actual woman named Yo Na and being traumatized enough to run away .
- Cha Do Hyun's grandmother finally smiling at him.
- Shin Se Gi and Yo Na are very memorable characters throughout.

The premise of this show talks about a first year neuropsychology doctor becoming the person physician for a guy suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder.

I found this show quite slow to start, the elements discussed in the premise don't actually start until about Episode 8 and for me that was when this drama actually started moving at a decent pace - I was close to abandoning it prior to that but kept going because the premise sounded good and I wanted to see if it could deliver. In short, it did ultimately and very well, you just have to push through that slow bit in the first few episodes.

A first for me - I just didn't gel with the Female Lead in this one, crying and screaming just didn't seem real, they felt like comedy equivalents put in non-comedy places. I am going to have to look up some more dramas with the same actress to see if this is a direction thing perhaps, it's unfair to judge based on a single performance. In all other respects I thought she was great though.

The Male Lead however shines brightly, showing various different characters through the different personalities with sufficient difference between them that it's almost instantly possible to see which character has taken to the fore purely from his performance. The highlight from a sheer comedy gold perspective has to be Ahn Yo-na and the antics of love-chasing Oh Ri-on, hilarious and a nice bit of light entertainment punctuating some of the heavier scenes.

It's a complex, perhaps convluted even, plot but it makes sense once it's unraveled.

Overall worth a watch, definitely, but you will need to push through the first few episodes until she moves in with Cha Do-Yhun before the plot starts moving at a good pace - and then it's easy easy watching all the way to the end.

Hats off to this Acting ! ! !

After I made a resolution to watch all the dramas I wanted to but I didn't have the time for, I picked up this one. And wow I found I diamond. I feel as though if I say too much I will give out too many spoilers so I'll try my best in writing this review without giving away much!
I only give a ten for the dramas I think are the ones that completely caught me off guard or had something unique and new in them that separated them from the rest. This drama was one of them. I had mixed feelings when I started this show mainly because this person(ML) had some problem medically and also because the title and the synopsis did not give much info about the drama and I personally felt it would be something like most amnesia dramas filled with twists and turns. But to my surprise it was something I had enjoyed for the first time especially because of the acting rather than the story. Though I know I am watching it rather late and the rating is rather too personal, but this drama deserves it from what I watched and experienced.

The story, though I had guessed much what would happen and how it would flow from the first episode, it had something I had not expected in each episode and didn't drift off topic like some dramas. I quite appreciated it having a direction and thought from beginning to end. It was of the first of this kind from what I watched mainly because I avoided anything related to amnesia and DID's but on the contrary found out I loved this drama and wanted more of the same kind. It was slightly addicting due to the fact that is shown that the ML's alternate personalities would disappear or go away, and I couldn't put down my laptop until I found out how they were gonna cure him(ML). I slightly felt reluctant to say goodbye to them as I liked each and every personality and fell in love with each of them.
I loved how the actor(Ji Sung) brought out various sides within one person and each personality he acted was unique and very well performed. I was so satisfied with his performance that at moments I felt as if it all was true and that he too experienced it(DID) as well. The acting was so real-like that he was able to win a fan like me(who rarely focuses on acting and mainly listens only to the story). From what I saw this drama was also a very good platform to him to bring out his outstanding acting. From some DID related dramas I later watched, I noticed it is quite hard to perform such kind of topics and was very surprised to actually find Ji Sung performing it very life like.

Dissociative identity disorder is sometimes a very sensitive topic among people as people have different opinions and views on each. Portraying a drama related to or focusing on such a sensitive topic was another thing I paid attention on as bringing out the importance and consequences of DID along with not being opinionated or focusing on one's own views and experiences through out the show was a very difficult thing. There was enough comedy to not make it a melo and also enough seriousness and importance shown on DID that made it easier to convey the message the director and writer wanted to convey.
And I'm not gonna say anything more about the romance, it was just right not too much and not too less, at moments it even made me feel as though the FL will fall in love with one of the ML's personalities and it will give one of those star-crossed lovers vibe. But this shows the drama achieved its motive.

Overall I would definitely recommend and rewatch it! It was nice and an enjoyable drama is to be shared. But this is totally according to and depends on peoples preferences. From what I know about myself it was one of those dramas I would never watch but watched it because I had the time and boredom but actually on the contrary enjoyed it so much I wanted to share it and watch it again sometime later. Maybe you too would feel like me. Comment if you too enjoyed it!

This is one of those very few korean dramas I will never forget. Everyone who's seen more than 10 kdramas knows that there are certain plot-twists/devices that are frequently used in dramas but 'Kill Me, Heal Me' was sooo different. Sure, some things will always be the same; the male protagonist is a chaebol, the female protagonist is poor and loud etc. but apart from this typical man/woman constellation, this drama was so fresh, new and EXCITING!

I don't want to get too much into detail but let me just say that Ji Sung is an extraordinary actor. All of his 7 personalities were s convincing. His acting wasn't awkward or ridiculous at all (which sadly is a frequently seen phenomena in kdramas) and his female counterpart played along really well. I also loved that the male and female lead had a good relationship and genuinly liked each other. You would think that that's a given for a couple but no, it really isn't in kdramas.

Some minor points of criticism: Omega's "romantic" storyline was a little bothersome, the constant repetition of the same flashbacks got old after a while and I felt the ending was lacking something as the last episode felt very rushed (even if the ending was realistic).

To sum it up, the plot was incredibly interesting, the acting was superb and the drama stayed good from episode 1-20 which is very rare! I would recommend this drama to anybody who likes dramatic plotlines and is not looking for the typical romance love-triangle or revenge-plot.

I wasnt sure what to expect when I first saw the trailer for this, but it was better than I imagined. Outside of a few cringe scenes it was a good watch. I really enjoyed the cast and their chemistry. There were a few moments in the story when I feel it was too cheesy, but when you are acting out certain personalities you will have that. I think he did a good job with all the different personalities as well. I think my favorite was Ahn Yo Na. I laughed the most with her. I found myself a little upset when Se Gi left, but thats my type. Definitely a good show to watch and rewatch.
