Great and Fun watch

I love this Lakorn and this was the lakorn that made me love Min.
The story is about a money hungry girl trying to catch a rich husband with her looks but the guy she was trying to seduce and the one she fell in love with turn out to be two different people. Min is so adorable being the airhead who only cares about her looks but there is more to her than we thought in the beginning. She evolved into a character we love and just wanted her to have a happy ending.
Om being the adorable Toop and and strict Tien is just icing on the cake. I loved this show very much because it made me laughed out loud and also fell in love with the characters. The supporting cast was great and its a drama I always watch when I want to see something romantic and funny at the same time.

Krachao doesn't come from a very glorious family. Her father left both her and her mother to live-off some wealthier woman. Her mother is useless after he left and spends her time drinking, sobbing and pleading for him to come back. Krachao seems to be rather useless herself: she is not skillful or talented in anything, struggled with studying and barely managed graduating high-school. She has no job. She is beautiful, though (portrayed by Min Peechaya) and won several beauty pageants already. Whenever there is a beauty pageant she signs in and wins it, collecting the prize money. Her heartfelt wish is to help her pitiful mother. She reckons she needs to get wealthy in order to make her father come back to them. As she has no greater asset than her looks (which is not true, because she is also kind-hearted and brave, and rather modest in thinking that apart her looks she is not special) she decides to look for rich husband.

One event night at some beauty pageant (which she won, of course) she meets young and carefree Tien, portrayed by handsome Om Akkaphan Namart, who crashes/crushes on her:) Tien actually comes from a wealthy family and therefore fulfills her category of suitable boyfriend but she gets to know him in circumstance when she thinks he is assaulting her, so she unhesitantly gives him a piece of her mind (and some good punch). Nevertheless, he is decided to pursue her. The whole situation starts to be cute as Tien is actually a nice guy (a bit irresponsible, but nice) who dreams to find a girl that would love him and not just his money. Krachao, on the other hand, only starts being interested in him after learning that he has money: but we know it's not because she is greedy, but because she sincerely loves her mother, doesn't judge her and just wants her to be happy again. I must say I liked her character. She is a fresh air, not the saint-type of nang'ek, also not the confident capable type. She believes she does not have anything better in her to utilize for her goal than her good looks. But you can't condemn her, as even in that, she is not shallow or selfish.

Krachao's life actually does have one more good asset. And that is her best friend Meekrob, or shortly Mee. Ever since kindergarten she took care of Krachao, helped her to get through exams at school, as she is talented and clever. She's got a job and is quickly succesful, so she secures one spot at the same company even for Krachao, who doesn't have anything to write in her resume, except "beauty pageant experience":) Tien is ecstatic to see that resume though, as the company is his family's. He now gets to see Krachao regularly and even sets up a beauty pageant for her. He is mistakenly thinking he found the beautiful girl who doesn't care for his money and family background. Because at the beginning she was so cross with him, that when he asked her if she does want to know who he is and about his family, she said no:D Consequently, he asks Meekrob to help him court her. We can see that Meekrob is not quite immune to his cute looks but clearly sees he's not interested in her, so she doesn't nourish any hopes, as she is a smart person. Unlike Krachao, who's hoping to hear the wedding bells already:)

But who knows, maybe even Meekrob can get equally - and I mean quite equally! - handsome boyfriend as Krachao:) As there is one more exact copy, and that is his twin brother. Meekrob is portrayed by Sammie Cowell, so she's quite a looker herself, also the twin-brother is supposed to have way more serious and work-oriented personality, a closer match to Meekrob.

But then the brother arrives and it's clear from episode 1 the scriptwriters intended him for Krachao. While I liked the smiling pra'ek Tien better at first, and probably would prefer the plot just to be about Tien discovering that Krachao IS after his money, after all, but then finding out she is actually nice, and not his standard gold digger (they had such a cute dynamics) it's soon established that Krachao gets way more interaction with the other brother, while Tien gets closer to Meekrob, calling her on the phone almost every day. Krachao gets brokenhearted when the other brother speaks ill of her to the point she accepts Tien's marriage proposal in half the series, just to shake it off. Tien is bothered when Meekrob says he no longer needs to call her. Both "couples" experience that looks are not everything and human feelings get stirred by something else:)

As for the cast, Om Akkaphan Namart is not a bad actor, but he's not that great either. When the stern brother began smiling and the smiley one began scowling, I could no longer tell his twins apart. Furthermore, when being both interested in the same girl caused them both act out of character, I ceased to care which one shall Krachao then end up with. But of course in the second series half I cared about Meekrob getting her happyend, too. Sammie Cowell did a good job in portraying likeable down-to-earth girl while it cannot escape the viewers notice that she is indeed beautiful to be easy on the eye even without being dolled-up, practically wearing clothes a man could wear:) And what makes this lakorn worth watching the most, is the character of Krachao. Min Peechaya didn't need a double role to create a heroine who really interested me and whom I cared for. She could leave the whole farm with both the brothers and I would still watch her whichever story.

The chemistry of Om Akkaphan with Sammie Cowell is decent. The chemistry of Om Akkaphan with Min Peechaya is not much, their kiss is awful. Actually Jum Uthumporn & Moo Dilok's chemistry is the best, LOL. There's Poonphat Attapanyapol, too. Now, he is the one who could work with Min Peechaya best, ironically. They made him wear the weird long hairdo and be the bad guy... Though Krachao's character makes even him wish to become good.

Then Meekrob enters a beauty contest and the 3 girls of Tien's fanclub who are mocking her even before signing up are told off by Krachao, reminding them their cosmetics and surgeries and that Meekrob has naturally beautiful skin, hair, eyes and boobs. Hilarious. Of course Tien comes up to watch that scene and HE also mocks Meekrob. His character has shown unlikeable progress throughout the story (he was really petty and mean towards Krachao, all the while hanging out with other girls) but regarding this, the audience can see beforehand that he'll fall flat on his face.

Moo Dilok ROCKS. This guy amazes for YEARS. Just looking at his dramalist, your hand shall get sore scrolling through all the roles... It looks like several hundred, LOL. Nothing he would not be able to portray. Even his role in this little lakorn is ingenious. Such a zen approach to life, LOL. The way he treats the worst villain. And then says in kind, fatherly manner to Poonphat Attapanyapol's character that his hair has grown too long. LMAO.

The happy ending was nice, though I wouldn't mind even if Krachao ended up with Athidej, or if Meekrob told Tien she's got other options:) In his face, LOL.
In conclusion this was not boring lakorn (with the exception of the final epi), but it did not need to be 20 episodes long. I wouldn't re-watch it, but it had some funny moments that were just priceless. And Krachao is really a super kind of a nang'ek! (Normally I hate the usual "action/kidnapping" by the end of a lakorn, but HER reaction at gunpoint? UNBELIAVABLE!:)

P.S.: By the way, Krachao's dad looks the hottest of all them guys there, LOL.
