Both of them were "blessed" with horrible writers, both of them are unbelievably dull and in both of them, you can't find any chemistry. And...I almost forgot...acting is terrible (Sorry Binnie).
A lot of the same characters are in it. They are different genres though. Hormones is a teen drama, but there is nothing scary in it.
This movie is also about undercover cops and the battle with morale. It's a widely known legendary movie from Hong Kong.
Both ....
-are classic timeless dorama
-are terminal disease human drama with somewhat heartwarming; hopeful; and very beautiful ending
-have great and very natural overall onscreen chemistry
-have a mesmerizing (visual-wise and acting-wise) j-actress in her prime as main lady
-have a list of extremely talented casts
-have a nice OST

Both of you are like revenge for siblings who committed suicide.
They are both similar in feel, refreshing and different, with non-overly-wishy-washy, independent female protagonists.
You will get the same feeling as in both dramas the male character keeps misunderstanding the female's pure heart. So while he himself doesn't realize his own feelings, he keeps teasing and hurting her.
There is also this mean second female in both dramas

Both deal with trying to solve a crime around the time the statue of limitations expiring.
They have similar leads of a woman having a terminal illness and trying to make a family for their child both fathers knows nothing about their kid. Differences SDY is a girl and the father is Single, Mama the child is a boy the father has a whole new family.
Yeah, they are completely different genre. Arifureta is romance/ slice of life/ human drama/ family; and Date is more comedy/ romance/ family; but they do have some similar traits:
-main couple have somewhat scarred soul/ unusual conditions; and in dorama we'll be showed how they overcome their problems and grow together as a person and couple
-the family somewhat meddle their relationship
-both dorama have multilayering message and unique aura
-both have some fun; absurd, and wtf moments :XD:
