they both have the same concept of best-friends finding love with each other. There is some similar content, but this Korean version has different aspects.

pretty much the same story line, best friends who come to look at the all years that they have been together as friends and try to understand their real feelings and the line between friendship and love.

It has the similar concept of experimentation and making students turn against each other through betrayal and physiological games However this is very graphic and disturbing.

Both of these classics are incredibly touching and romantic with great acting and story lines that ace it right to the very end.

If you liked angry mom you would like a woman cry, make a woman cry is less dark but pretty good for a weekend drama, I recommend you make a woman cry

also deals with lives of "rich kids" in s. korea, though in a more mature way. definitely has the same charm, though!

Although it has a very different story line than Dr. Ian, it has the same concept of a web drama having short episodes. It also has Sandara Park as the main actress.

This is the movie in which this whole drama was based on. It is paralleled at some point in the story line but has different scenarios when it comes to details and endings. I still recommend the movie for further comparison.

Both feature smart, witty, and beautiful women living in the palace that is dominated by males. Zhen Huan is a Chinese historical and Jewel is Korean. There are lots of politic driven plots by the bad guys to make the heroines suffer and lose the favour of the royal family. The heroines will triumph over the traps and tricks set by their enemies through intelligence, skill, and help from friends. Romance wise Legend of Zhen Huan has way more since it is about King's wives and harem while Jewel in the Palace has a very subtle romantic tone. Last of all both are melodramas that drags on, each with over 50+ episodes.
