In both, there are complicated family problems, drama, and the stepmother has a strange hate/love with her step-son/daughter
The two are about a famous royal concubine who was known for her beauty and her cruelty
The two are about beautiful women fighting for the king's attention, in the midst of a war. Besides, in the two, the heroine has temper, and gives up her first love by ambition/revenge
Similarly, hormones season 2 and 3 of "koi and dao" couple an asian lesbian themed who had a sweet happy ending but not as much as plot twisted as the handmaiden.
same asian lesbian girls who had a sweet happy ending but not as much as plot twisted as the handmaiden.

it is a sequel movie of kim and pie's love story, more of them together of how they will have a more stronger relationship and the last part of their story.
Similarly the lesbian couple "koi and dao" in hormones season 2 and season 3 had a cute happy ending feels~ and that they're parents and friends shows acceptance in them and they also have a developing character that you will begin to love at the end. And they are same in having right amount of sweetness and drama.
They both have a sweet, cute, a good amount of drama and especially a happy ending. Both have a development in one of the main character that at start you might not like them but they will change adorably cute on giving a try for the one they love. And they both have acceptance from their friends and parents at the end.

Both protagonists are physically strong women. Nasty characters are excessively cruel and vicious, no matter where they come from. There's also lots of "almost gratuitous violence" against the victims in each episode, quite hard to stomach and so not for the faint-hearted. Then our héroïnes, start slowly with their moral little speechs sort of "Ijimae is bad, hurting the weaker is wrong..." and bam, they rampage at the assaillants despite their light calibre. Both are very repetitive due to the episodic format.
If you loved Oguri Shun in Hana Yori Dango, a natural progression is Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. Hana Kimi has a much lighter and quirky tone, but jdrama is by far my favorite adaption. Yes, I have watched the Taiwanese and Korean Dramas. Oguri Shun, Ikuta Toma and Horikita Maki make up a strong center cast! Ikuta steals the lime light!
Similar feel..female lead from riches to rags, trying live at guy's house..guy's mother against female lead..supporting female is on both drama, sister/rival on smile you and pregnant love interest of brother on this one..
They are both office romance dramas.
Leads do have some kind of a connection from the past in both dramas (even tho it's a different type of connection... hm... no spoilers~)
Both are light hearted and cute~
Female lead is that kind of cheerful, cute, a little annoying girl (I didn't like the female lead in Introverted boss but i liked the one in She was pretty)
The male leads... Well, they aren't really similar in any way i think but they still remind me of each other idk why XD

two rival groups, lovable characters and school-centred slice of life!
