Moonshine and Valentine, or otherwise known as His Excellency's First Love isn't a perfect story, but it's better than what I expected at least.

The story overall isn't smooth in transition and plot. There are a lot of bumps in the plot that often make it confusing to understand or just simply hard to believe that the drama you're watching is still considered the same one. However, I think many aspects such as the main idea of the story makes up for most of these holes in the plot. As Guan Pi Pi is thrown into the world of foxes, He Lan is reunited with his lover that faces an early death and is reincarnated later on. The cycle continues viciously for the two lovers and its refreshing to see that in this lifetime their love isn't as easy to obtain. I do think that the beginning of the show is more stable than the rest, as it does kind of get odd around that point. It's not the best plot I've seen while watching dramas, but I've seen worse. I think what saved this drama for me is that it stuck with its initial intent to focus on their love story, which it mainly did. This isn't the case as they're constant misunderstandings and forces that plot against them but it's nothing that's too off course from the main story. I did like the overall bow on top between the small side stories and such that were probably more stable than the main plot in my opinion (such as Xiao Ju's story or even Qian Hua's).

For the cast, I can't say I didn't love them cause I absolutely fell in love with them. Victoria does an amazing portrayal of her character and I can't say that she didn't impress me with her acting in this drama. There's also her male co-star, Johnny Huang, who also blew me away with his acting. I mean, their chemistry? To me it was what saved the drama (again, this is my first time seeing BOTH of their work). I think the side characters of the drama also performed a good job throughout as they navigate you through their own story.

The music wasn't really in your face due to the opening sequence being narration (which was something I found odd since not many, if any, shows do that) but it's still nice and subtle throughout the drama. For my music preference, nothing really stood out to me but nothing made me want to rip my ears off. That's just my music preference though.

Would I watch this drama again? Probably only some parts of it. I would skip the filler material of the drama as I did want to focus more on the main story, not that I didn't enjoy the stories of the other characters. If I truly wanted to relive the whole drama, I probably would if I had time.

This has been The Love Knot: His Excellency's First Love.

The Black Devil and the White Prince depicts the triangular love between two best friends and the new girl. Akabane is the girl who has this ugly duckling to beautiful swan transformation and ends up living at a dorm at a new school. This showcase of her on-and-off relationship with Kurosaki really adds to the overall theme where the main character poorly treats the female lead, and their feelings begin to develop. Of course the long-term friendship between Kurosaki and Shirakawa is also the factor that adds to the overall plot of the story and how they settle their overlapping feelings for Akabane. It's a very simple story but is enjoyable to watch. There's always a hint of the true feelings between all of the characters that strengthens the love triangle between the three characters. It's also slightly focused on the idea of Akabane becoming someone where she's confident in herself, due to her experience from middle school.

It's a good movie / drama and I would highly recommend watching the prequel before the movie since it adds a lot more context to the story and how everything developed.

Let me begin with one thing, this drama isn't the best drama you'll watch, but it's not necessarily the worst one either.

The story is mediocre, with multiple cliches but for some reason, I couldn't personally stop watching it. It does have unexpected twists and turns, and the overall concept of the story is a fresher image to vampirism that I've seen presented in dramas. The acting is minimal, some parts showing amazing acting while others reveal this lack of good acting you'd expect in a way. It's more of a drama where you have to see past the faults of the story, casting, and other variables to enjoy. I mainly continued watching just to finish and end the story that I had begun watching. If you're up to see why this drama is so bad and so good (?) at the same time, I would recommend it. It's an odd thing to enjoy almost, where you know some parts you don't like, such as the acting, yet it's got that drama appeal where you wanna continue watching. Again, Blood isn't the BEST drama I've watched, but I've honestly seen worst.

Side Note: The main female lead will make you want to punch yourself in the face every now and then with her acting, but the eye candy of the main and second male leads will help you overcome the urges to stop watching in my honest opinion.

Let me start off with this: I absolutely was captivated by the first season, and the second one was no different. I was a continuous roller coaster that you just don't want to leave. This season did has a major theme of misunderstanding throughout, but I think it topped the first season nicely. The characters are all finding their way in a new environment and it truly puts relationships to the test. I think this is was surely a season that didn't overshadow the first, but didn't lack in comparison. The continuous addition of second leads makes me think that Nao saved an entire planet in her previous life - but that's all irrelevant since she's so emotionally invested in one man, Uehara. I really enjoyed a more dynamic take of their relationship they established at the end of the first season. Overall, I highly recommend this drama if you're into a sort of soft romance that makes your feelings well, feel. This is a series that I expected to follow the typical path - which it slightly did - but it also gave me a new addiction to the cast and the story. I only wish the ending was slightly clearer, which is something I tend to see in a lot of dramas in the first place. Good Morning Call will make you want to stay up to the morning just to watch, and if you don't believe me, watch it.

This is one of the first times where I've watched a manga-show adaptation show, without reading the manga. Good Morning Call is a recipe filled with sweetness, a dash of humor, and some slight angst. It's basically the same recipe that I often see in these types of shows, but that doesn't make Good Morning Call any less lovable. I do recall reading the first few chapters of the manga, but from the beginning point, the drama moves slower and is stretched out in comparison. It's not a complete detail-for-detail adaptation but it's still enjoyable. The complexity of their relationship isn't new where it's a main lead chasing a cold, popular guy but thats the kind that's slightly addicting in my opinion. It's slightly leaned towards the cliche route but it's still a good watch. Even though you probably see a lot of these types of dramas, Good Morning Call is one that'll be the reason why you keep watching them.

The Big Boss continued with it's fun and light storyline with this season, something I was expecting to change quite honestly. The story does alternate between the actual story and this kind of "dream" or "imagined" story but it's still funny (it tends to feel like filler material to me however). I am EXPECTING another season of The Big Boss based on how this one ended, which I'll give you a heads up now, the synopsis DOES NOT match what happens which is why I think there is supposed to be another season of packed comedy and twists. I wouldn't suggest you get your hopes up for super intense romance between the characters these two seasons in my personal opinion, but the second season does lead to more of that relationship between the two main leads. The music was okay but nothing too out of the ordinary that makes you want to look up the song, in my opinion. I will admit I liked the overall image they kept with the second season but I do think their way of progressing the relationship of the two main leads is much more different from the normal dramas (It's technically been 36 episodes...). Again, if you're looking for laughs and super faint romance that is slowly developing at this point, watch The Big Boss.

The Big Boss will make you laugh, that's guaranteed. It's a light-hearted comedic story about the relationship of two childhood acquaintances.  Mu Xi and Dan Yi don't really show the right off the bat romance or crushing, which is what makes this drama so refreshing. The first season, did have it's parts that didn't really feel like it pertained to the plot; so in my opinion, some fillers for the story. I do like how Dan Yi and Mu Xi are constantly finding themselves in situations where there's more that meets the eye between the two. It's highly funny to watch throughout and keeps it's plot stable over the course of 18 episodes. (NOTE: The second season is another whopping 18 episodes, so 36 in total.) I do believe that the focus shifted between the little side stories of the drama and the main story between Mu Xi and Dan Yi, but the interconnection between it all is what makes the drama memorable for me. If you're looking for a good laugh while enjoying a unique relationship between the main actors, The Big Boss is the drama for you. It's not too serious but not too focused on laughs that makes it an enjoyable watch, one worth sitting / laying down for long periods of time. Innocent, sweet, and absolutely a danger to your air supply from laughing so hard. The Big Boss is a big catch.

There's a reason why this drama is loved by so many. I can now finally say that I am also one of those people who adore this story. When I first heard about A Love So Beautiful, I had just finished watching Attention, Love! (Another drama I highly suggest watching if you enjoyed this drama and similar dramas of this genre) and was delighted to hop onto the next drama. I didn't expect such a love to captivate me so much that I rapidly couldn't help but finish it. Xiao Xi and Jiang Chen are the pair that you just can't help but root for (Sorry Bo Sung) and it's not your typical high school love in my opinion. Although it has some aspects of the ones you can often find in dramas, the relationship between Jiang Chen and Xiao Xi is a little bit more different. Jiang Chen completely changed the game as the main male lead, which is what I adore so much about this drama. Xiao Xi is also an in between of what's expected and what isn't expected which makes you want to keep watching. The side stories are also cute, portraying more of the commonly seen stories in dramas, but still can't really steal the spotlight from the main couple. If you're planning on watching this drama, I highly recommend you do. It's worth the time, the stress, the possible (?) tears, and the attention. I didn't enjoy one thing as much, which was how they decided to end the story but I think it's something I've found myself feeling more and more as I continue to dive into Chinese dramas. A Love So Beautiful is truly the story of the most beautiful love you'll see, at least one of them.
