i dont actually think theyre similar, but what the two dramas have in common is that they focus on a m/m relationship, are short and both korean with happy endings. So you know if that interests you, check it out.
both movies were directed by the same person, have a similar feel and dont look like your typical movie (Pink and Grey's second half is mostly shot in black and white, River's Edge has interviews of the characters sprinkled inbetween and also 4:3 format). Also the characters tend to be kind of fucked up.
Both shows focus on multiple characters and couples, one of the couples going from friends to lovers. The characters are also related to movies (in ToL the characters are filmology majors and in YOUniverse two of the characters collect movie and drama soundtracks). Both dramas also were (co-)directed by the same person, look so so good and have very nice bgm
-both were screenwritten and directed by the same person
-have a similar vibe
-feature gay main characters

Both are love stories between an older male professor and a younger woman. Her Granddaughter is much calmer than Papakatsu though (if that makes sense...?)
both are two cute romantic minidramas. In both there is a couple with an older female and a younger male (although in Love Playlist said couple doesnt have any real screentime in season 1 but the following ones). They also talk about unrequited love for abit and just generally give me a similar feel
Male MC is married to a mentally unstable woman who has the same fate in both films. There is an age gap element in both, as well as a professor/student element. Papakatsu is more of a romance show though and Scarlet Innocence is honestly kind of fucked up
both are about troubled youths that have a bad relationship with their fathers. They hold in alot of anger and emotions and want to hold onto that one thing but things dont really go the way they want them to
- focus on a group of four friends (three guys and one girl)
-tackle love (requited and unrequited) and friendship
- short web series that are both available on youtube with eng sub
-tackle love (requited and unrequited) and friendship
- short web series that are both available on youtube with eng sub
in both dramas a (really great)group of friends tries to find love and just go through life and deal with the things that happen. Both shows are also funny and very enjoyable. Wake Up Ladies is the more romance focused show out of the two while Diary of Tootsies is the funnier one
both movies have an elderly main character, the city has a warm feel - everybody seems to know eachother, they seem generally liked, made me cry sjsb and there is a certain plotpoint that gets introduced later that is the same in both movies. Both movies also feauture a sm idol in a side role. But tbh the side characters they portray are very useless and could have been cut but we stan Minho and Chanyeol anyway
both feature Offgun but also have very cute different-sex couples. Theyre more lighthearted and funny. also same studio
