This is a rant

Ok wanna start off with, wth happened. Like I know I’ve only seen like 5 episodes of the entire show, but this entire part 2 is just so absurd.

To start off the cast was absolutely trash, alright I’m not a fan of Yu Shuxin, but her acting as Tian Jingzhi doesn’t give me the same vibes as Wu Qian. The cast is different, like we’re adding in new characters that we don’t need, Xuanxuan and aye Chen disappears.

What’s up with Mike Angelo acting skills, he portrayed Xue Lingqiao so poorly. Like the entire “call me father” and “call me grandpa” scene between Xue Lingqiao and Yun Zhen is so fake like the Xue Lingqiao from season 1 would never ever say anything that cringy. From what I know Xue Lingqiao is a very serious person and doesn’t like to joke around, I don’t who Mike Angelo was playing as, but it’s definitely not Xue Lingqiao.

Also what’s wrong with Yun Zhen, like he’s begging Tian Jingzhi to date him yet he’s partying and has like 10 other girlfriends. The only thing that I was impressed was getting the original actor for Li Yanzhi and Feng Dongdong back, and the house that Tian Jingzhi lives in, though on the outsides it looks completely different but on the inside it’s completely the same just with a few modifications.

Other than that, watch season 1 and make up a story for season 2 on your own, don’t even bother watching this show. Never gave a drama this low of a star rating.

I don’t really see a need to watch this drama. It wasn’t necessary good nor bad however watching it or not wouldn’t really have an impact on you. The ending is very predictable like any other basic drama. There wasn’t too big of a plot and the storyline wasn’t super good but wasn’t super bad either.

There wasn’t too many roles and not a lot of outfits. There also weren’t many crew members which can be seen on the last episode, so you wouldn’t really expect a lot from this drama. The story picks up a bit around episode 7 and then it story starts to head down around episode 15.

There’s no need to watch this drama again, unless you just really like the main leads.

I don't really know what to say for this show. I mean it didn't really captivate or motivate me to continue to keep watching. I fee like this show is really similar to a bunch of other historical shows where there's chaos and princes fighting for power. I may be wrong since I dropped it pretty early but I just don't see the need to waste my time and watch another 40 episode drama to watch people fight for the throne.

One thing I will say that did surprise me was the double leads having a second chance to relive. Most shows I've seen, only one lead is given the chance to go back in time and remake their life decisions but it's really interesting how BOTH leads return with previous knowledge and it's like they've been married for years even though they aren't even married.

No offense to any of the actors or show, but I did find the episodes 4 and so on really boring. I've seen Zhang Linghe's other shows and loved them. Zhao Jinmai is sort of new to me but her acting doesn't really have anything to do that makes me want to drop the show.

So this might be really biased since I haven’t fully seen the show. But just from the first episode I knew I wouldn’t like the show. Now I personally love Cheng Xiao and Luo Yunxi as who they are and was kind of excited to watch this show. I’m not really into modern day dramas, and I typically drop most of them if they can’t catch my attention or seek my excitement in the first couple of episodes.

Now the cast is great, but right off to the start, we have Luo Yunxi’s character who loves to play video games and I have absolutely no idea what Cheng Xian’s character is doing. Like I would like a good background explanation, but this might just be me being very biased, since the beginning of the show didn’t interest me and seemed confusing and about businesses and corporations.
