The Law of Karma:The demon of all demons!

An experienced Judge with a gorgeous appearance, Kang Bit Na's body is taken over by the third in command in hell, Justitia. Justitia came to the world from hell with a mission of killing ten murderers who have not yet been forgiven by their victims and the ones who are unrepentant about their actions. Now, Justitia and Kang Bit Na has become one person. A judge from hell inside a judge's body. In this mission of hers, she crosses path with a police officer, Han Da On. Justitia believes in Tit for Tat, while Han Do On doesn't believe in such laws, he wants everyone to be punished accordingly, he always goes by the law. Two individuals with contrasting personalities and beliefs crosses path!

Do you believe in the Law of Karma? I love this drama precisely because of that. Kang Bit Na made the murderers who has killed countless individuals feel the pain their victims felt when they were being oppressed, tortured, brutalized, tormented, and assaulted. There's one punishment that's most appropriate for murderers. And what's that? Is it going to prison? Getting arrested? A death sentence? Sure, a death sentence and a life sentence are punishments, but making them feel the pain, torment, and agony their victims went through when they were dying is the best punishment ever. And with that, Kang Bit Na/Justitia handed out those punishment accordingly.

This drama promotes crimes, says who? Is it so bad to kill those who have killed countless people? Or is it a sin? How is Kang Bit Na's job/mission different from the military who kills terrorists and invaders to protect their motherland, countrymen, and family? She only did what the law couldn't do. For those who have witnessed how dirty, corrupt, and twisted the law has become will agree with me when I say this; "Thousands, millions, and even billions suffers from the court's injustice, and many people will still suffer from it. What kind of world are we living in? It's a world full of unfairness and injustice. A world were the victims becomes the culprits, the culprits becomes the victim. A world were the guilty gets away with it all as long as they have the influence, the resources, and the authority." The law itself is funny and a joke. A criminal will be given freedom or acquitted just because the crime they committed has passed the statute of limitations, is that justice? No, is it fair? Some evil doers usually forget about karma. They tend to think they can get away with it all. In this drama, there's brutality and violence, but I liked it cuz the perpetrators/murderers got what they deserved. They experienced first hand what it means to be in pain and torment. I loved how they're made to experienced the hell their victims went through and even far worse through Kang Bit Na. It's really nice to see. In this one Kang Bit Na was like the judge sent by the heavens to punish the evil doers and murderers. If you think this drama promotes violence and crime, that it should have been shelved, you're the one who's twisted!

That said. I've got to applaud the outstanding performance of the dramas main focus 👏👏👏 our female lead, our anti heroine, our badass FL, Kang Bit Na/Justitia portrayed by Park Shin Hye. I've never seen this other side of Park Shin Hye's acting since all these years of watching her dramas. It's as if I was watching her onscreen for the first time, she didn't just slayed this one, she cleared the floor. She took the whole audience by surprise, and for that, she just topped my list of favorite actresses. Honestly, when she took on this drama, I wasn't sure what the performance would be, but when the official poster and trailer were released, I was anxiously waiting for the release of this one. And as expected. No, her performance was beyond expectations. That wicked smile, her facial expressions, and the way she portrays the emotional aspects, I almost fainted from the overwhelming acting. "The demon of all demons, is me," that sentence captivated me! Kang Bit Na, the badass, cruel, blunt, yet deep inside, a kindhearted person. I loved Park Shin Hye's acting in this one a whole lot 💞💗💓💖 No actress could have done it better!!

Now let's talk about our ML. He also portrayed his role excellently. Actually, I didn't like his character at first, but as time goes by, I got to understand him, what he's fighting for, and his principles. Kim Jae Young did his role justice. He's the type who values principles and his sworn duty a whole lot. He almost crumbled, but it's nice to see how he picked up the pieces and didn't allow grief to ruin him.

About the romance. Well, there's not that much romance in this one, but the natural and amazing chemistry of Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young sure is there. I enjoyed how Kang Bit Na always teases Han Da On. Their quarrels sometimes made me laugh. Also, that kiss scene in the last episode was very lovely. "You are the only blemish in my life, my only weakness. I love you a lot, Han Da On." Han Da On replied with"I love you too." Then, a kiss followed. Oh my, that scene was more than satisfying. Just for that scene I decided to add another 0.5 to the ratings I originally wanted to give this one.

There are a lot of emotional moments in this one. For one, Han Da On's foster mother's murder. Another was when Kang Bit Na almost died. So, if you're just starting, get your tissues ready.

I love the OSTs. My favourite of them all is "Crossroad by Sunmi"!

The fact that Kang Bit Na was strong till the end is impressive. Even in the face of death, she didn't falter. I really loved her. Indeed, this is a lady's show.

Also, I loved how the mystery aspect was portrayed, I almost couldn't figure out who exactly the serial killer J and satan was until the last five episodes. I've also got to add the actions scenes. The action scene were damn satisfying. I was gulping over the amazing CGI. The whole production team really did this one justice.

And without excluding all the casts who performed extraordinary well. From the support roles, down to the guest roles, all performed amazingly well. They made the audience felt emotions with their acting. I for one felt it!

The ending was also beautifully done! All the villains got their retributions and punishments were served accordingly!

But of course, I have a bit of an issue with this one. I'm wondering how an Angel and a demon became so close to the extent that he saved her from being punished. But then again, logic is usually thrown out of the window when watching something fictional.

Also, I didn't like the fact that they used the a flipped cross as the symbol of hell. Anyway, I don't want to go into that too much, so I'll stop here.

In essence, The Judge From Hell is a drama that explores crimes, and not just crimes, it explores the cruelest ones. It further explores the cruelty and delusions of culprits. It's a drama worth the watch. The 15 hours I invested into this one indeed didn't go to a waste. So for all the positives I'm giving this one an overall of 9.0. I loved and enjoyed the journey! This is a drama I'd definitely recommend, but beware, there are some mild Gore!
Thanks for reading!
Enjoy the Journey!

The Xianxia That Left a Strong Impression on Me.

"Love's Rebellion" tells the story of Nan Yan, a young girl who is exceptionally skilled in medicine, an alchemist who studies medicine and poison to cure her mother's heart disease. One faithful day, she was picking up herbs in the woods when she encountered some members of the Evil Path sect, her mermaid pearl caught their eye. So, they wanted to kill her, Nan Yan knew she doesn't stand a chance against so many demons, she tried to make a run for it. However, although she ran fast, the Evil Path sect members were faster. They caught up with her, and coincidentally Ji Yang happens to be in the area. Ji Yang is the monarch "Shao Cang" of the Great Path Sect who is on the run after being wrongly accused of killing his fellow sect members. When Ji Yang saw that Nan Yan was in danger, he helped her fight off the demons by lending her a hand. The demons flee, but Ji Yang caught up with them and slayed them. Shortly after that, he fainted due to the injuries he sustained while he was imprisoned. Nan Yan saw the unconscious Ji Yang and brought him back to Lunar Sect of Lunar Mountain.

After Ji Yang regained his consciousness, he found himself in an unfamiliar place, and saw Nan Yan who claims to have saved him. In the woods, Nan Yan thought she was able to overpower the members of the Evil Path because her cultivation improved, but little does she know that it's Ji Yang who helped her. However, it's indeed a fact that she did bring him back when he was unconscious. So, this two saved each other if you're to ask me. Nan Yan wants to refine the Five-Poison heart pill to save her mother who has a heart disease, and coincidentally, Ji Yang also has the same illness. The question is, are this two each other's destiny, or just normal passer-by? Well, it's the later. Their relationship started with some misunderstandings, or should I call it bickerings instead? In a short while, their relationship blossomed, leading to these two falling for each other. After a series of coincidence, she formed a bond called "the seal of romance" with Ji Yang. Not long after, Mu Zhang Ting came along, then Yin Ya. These four individuals eventually became friends.

Actually, before this drama began airing, the two leads "Zhang Ling He and Jing Tian" and the trailer were enough for me to have high expectations. When this actually aired, it met my expectations and even exceeded it, but there's a flaw that almost made me drop this drama in its first three episodes. However, its merits were enough for me to outlook the flaw.

FLAW; I started the first episode thinking that it will be very interesting that I'd want to rewatch it, but sadly, I was disappointed. The first three episodes were both boring and slow, that's a fact. "Is this it? Really? Here I thought this would be worthwhile, was I wrong?" Those were the questions that kept going through my head. On the other hand, I also said this to myself, "let's see what the next episode has to offer. After all, this is not the first drama which its first episode is slow." That's how I watch the next episodes, up until I reached episode 4. To be honest, I almost dropped this during the first three episodes, but I decided to persevere and watch more because the two leads "Zhang Ling He and Jing Tian" are one of my favourites. I'm glad I persevered, my perseverance paid off. It just confirmed this saying, "Perseverance pays off". From episode 4 onwards, it kept getting better and better, till I had no complaints whatsoever about this again.

MERITS;
Romance
What made me love this drama more is the romance. Zhang Ling He and Jing Tian really had the chemistry I never knew they could have. Their chemistry is off the charts, one of the best I've seen. Ji Yang and Nan Yan's love for each other is both true and unique. It's usually the ML always protecting the FL, but here? It's different. They take turns in protecting each other. Even when Ji Yang became a demon and couldn't remember a thing, not even his name, when he saw Nan Yan from afar, he felt this connection with her. Since he doesn't remember his name, he named himself "Yin". To be honest, since Nan Yan is now a demon slayer, this two couple made this show much much more interesting. I really love the trust this two has in each other. You know when you've forgotten your beloved, but your heart remembers, this is what the drama shown. I just love the chemistry our main coulple has. Also, they look cute together. I never knew this pair could work, but it actually did. And very perfectly at that!

Acting/Casting; The casts delivered outstanding performance, especially Ji Yang, Nan Yan, and the other two leads.
Well, I'm not familiar with the other two leads, so I'll only focus on the ML and FL whom I'm more familiar with. Zhang Ling He and Jing Tian, these two actors always impresses me everytime I watch their dramas. Their spot on facial expressions, the way they portrayed their emotions leaves me speechless. Darren Chen and Chang Long's acting also exceeded expectations. To be put bluntly, "Loves Rebellion" has one of the best acting you can find when watching a drama. Although I hoped some supporting characters stayed much longer in the drama, characters such as Nan Yan's mother "Nan Ruo" and Chief of the Lunar sect "Meng Zhi Guang" these two made the show much more fun. I love when they play Mahjong, it's a pity that their characters were short lived.

Beautiful OST; I've watched many interesting drama in which their OST were just average. However, Love's Rebellion is not just interesting, but its OSTs are also beautiful. We get beautiful OST from different artists; I'm Willing by Wang Tiange, Hand in Hand by Allen Fang, Like Our First Meeting by Maria, Clear by Li Hao, and Two Selves by Yang Kun. I'm not sure if that's all, but those are the OST I can remember. Each OST has its meaning that suits this drama. Among the listed OST, my favourite is "I'm willing by Wang Tiange and Hand in Hand by Allen Fang". As the saying goes "love is not about worth, but willingness", the OST "I'm willing" suits that saying very perfectly.

Strong Character Development; One of the reasons that made me love "Love's Rebellion" is the character development. I love how the four leads character gradually developed from what they used to be. Here are the character development of the four leads below;
Nan Yan; Although she's highly skilled in medicine, but she's of low cultivation. She only cared about curing her mother and Ji Yang's heart disease. But after undergoing a series of heartbreaking events, where she lost her loved ones, she came to realize that "only the capable can protect and hold on to the ones they love and cherish". Hence she embarked on the journey to become strong. "When there's a will, there's a way," After much cultivation, she improved gradually, and became a high cultivator and demon slayer in a short amount of time. I love how her character developed into a strong and badass one.

Ji Yang; He has always been a high cultivator whom very few people could rival in the cultivation realm. He was eloquent and articulate at 6, won the champion of magic at 8, he reached Yuanying realm at 13, and took the throne at 18. That's who Ji Yang/Shao Cang is. However, unfortunately, he died in the fifth valley. Although he died in the fifth valley, he was later resurrected, but without his memories and as a demon. Though he didn't have his memories, but his kindness, ability to discern right from wrong didn't fade away, also, he's much more powerful than he ever was. He now has in his possession the power of a god. His is a combination of goodness of Ji Yang and the ruthlessness of "Yin", balancing each other. I loved how his character developed into a much more powerful character.

Yin Ya, a fox, who thinks of cultivators as despicable because of how his clan was wrongfully imprisoned in the spirit binding formation. He also loves to play tricks, he even betrayed his friends (Ji Yang, Nan Yan, and Mu Zhang Ting) quite a number of times. But after they went through life and death together, the fox who only cared about saving his clansmen came to know the true meaning of friendship, also, he came to realize that not only family is important, friends are too. The way his character developed into a loyal and caring friend is what I loved most about him.

Mu Zhang Ting, the young dragon lord of Dragon Capital, who loves writing poems more than he does cultivation, he's also a very loyal person. He thinks of himself as a literary talent, so he didn't think much of becoming stronger. When he thought one of his friends had died, he wanted revenge, but sadly, he lacked the capability. He practiced for three years and became much stronger. Although, he became stronger, he didn't give up on being a poet. I love that about him.

Comedy; "Love's Rebellion" also has scenes that'll make you laugh, the characters itself are a fun to watch. Ji Yang and Nan Yan unique character will put a smile on your face. The fox "Yin Ya" also is very funny. The funny poems of Mu Zhang Ting is the funniest. Mu Zhang Ting's character added a lot more fun to the show with his poems that'll will make you laugh non-stop. Poems such as, "across the sky, a sudden lightening. It must be the Jade Emperor yawning." All characters performed exceptionally well in their respective roles. Especially the ML and FL.

Emotional Aspects; "Love's Rebellion" is also an emotional drama that'll move you to tears. Ji Yang and Nan Yan first separation is an example of the emotional part. Their separation was accompanied with an emotional but beautiful OST, making the scene all the more sad. Also, our four friends were also separated for three years. This drama has much more that I can't describe in a word or two. Watch "Love's Rebellion" and you'll find out about what I speak of.

As for the ending, I'll only say this, it's a very satisfying happy ending , the ending I hoped for. Whether it's drinking, working, exercising, or eating, "moderation is best." So, I'll stop here, and leave you to watch and find out more about the drama and its ending.
As you can see, this drama has but a flaw, a flaw that's almost insignificant. All the rest are strengths. I'm giving this drama a full 10 not only because I think the ratings doesn't do this drama justice. I'm giving it a full 10 for four reasons. The first reason is because of the chemistry the main couple has and how cute they look together. Secondly, the friendship of the four main characters. Thirdly, I love the the engaging story and top tier acting of every casts. And lastly, I'm giving it a perfect score because the ending wasn't disappointing.

In conclusion, "Love's Rebellion" is a captivating drama that'll cheer you up and make you sad. The Xianxia that leaves a strong impression on me this year after The Legend of Shen Li. This drama will make you ride the waves of emotions. Every episode is like opening a Pandora box that has surprising things inside. It's a drama that won't make you feel bored. A drama that'll keep you entertained through and through. So, this is a drama I'd recommend for anyone, it's a must watch, a "masterpiece" to be precise. Join the fun ride and watch this Xianxia that's packed with romance, friendship and mystery. It'll be worth your time. Want to watch a drama that has excellent acting, engaging story, captivating plot, beautiful OST, and electrifying chemistry between the main couple? Love's Rebellion fit what you are looking for!

NOTE; If you want to watch this drama, don't let the low ratings discourage you from watching. Ratings don't speak for a drama most times, the content does. I know it cuz I've watch quite a number of dramas that has low ratings here on MDL, and they turned out to be very engaging and captivating. Place your judgements only after trying this one out, it all depends on preferences. If it's your type of drama, then you'll love it, if it's not, you can do the opposite.

In This World, It's Either We Die, or They do!

"In this world, it's either we die, or they do!"
This phrase is what makes the drama. In a world full of monsters, where living becomes hard, one can only bet everything and fight through every danger while betting everything, including one's life.
The story picks up where Season 2 left off, but this season is quite different, compared to the second season. This one appeared to be much more interesting than season 2, I don't know why, maybe it's because season 2 was missing an essential character, Lee Eun Hyuk (Lee Do Yoon).
As expected from our lead characters, they're performing their respective roles quite brilliantly. Cha Hyun Su (Song Kang), Lee Eun Hyuk (Lee Do Hyun), Lee Eun Yoo (Go Min Si), Seo Yi Kyung (Lee Si Young, and Pyeon Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) acting were impressive as always!

Season 2 didn't meet my expectations, but season 3? Sure, it didn't meet all my expectations, but it met a good number of them. I don't know if it's just me, but I felt this chemistry between Lee Do Yoon and Song Kang, it's a pity that bromance tag wasn't added to the show. The actions are great. As "Sweet Home" Season 3 is the final conclusion, the stakes are higher than ever. This drama is about humanity, morality, decisiveness, sacrifice, and survival. In a cruel world when one has to kill to survive, the characters had to make choices that seemed impossible, choices that may or may not be right.

While some characters seemed to lack development as they should, it's still a good show overall.
In short, "Sweet Home" Season 3 is a thrilling and emotional drama. So, is this a drama I would recommend? Of course, but only if you like horror, and have a strong heart? Is this a must watch? I wouldn't say it's a must watch, but it's definitely a worthwhile drama. But remember to keep the lights on while watching this if you're someone that easily gets scared!

Excessive. Lacking. Draggy. A big disappointment.

NOTICE; MY REVIEW IS A BIT LONG, BEAR WITH ME. ALSO, I'M NOT HERE TO ARGUE WITH ANYONE, JUST STATING MY OPINION.

I won't bother on wasting anyone's time by stating the obvious about the overview. Obviously, it something everyone know. I'll only say so little about it. Love Next Door tells the story of the reunion of two childhood friends.

Love Next Door is one of my most anticipated drama of the year. Also, I had high expectations for this mainly because of the casts. Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, and Kim Ji Eun were the ones who got my hopes up. I've seen Jung Hae In in many dramas, and those dramas were interesting and engaging. Same goes for Jung So Min, I was utterly impressed with her role in Alchemy of Souls. There's also Kim Ji Eun, I loved her role as the cold, yet kindhearted woman in Branding in Seongsu. Just as I was anticipating these actors next project, the news of Love Next Door came along. Thus, I got my hopes up. When this finally aired, I was impressed with the premise, but only to be disappointed as the drama unfolds. Honestly, "disappointed" is not the right word for this, I'm "exasperated" about how this one turned out.

Yes, there are things I liked about this drama, but my dislikes outweighs my likes for this. But I think it'd be unfair to only list my dislikes, without saying a single thing about the ones I liked. To be fair, I'll list my likes and dislikes, even though I'm "fuming" over how this drama turned out. I'm not sure I have that much likes about this, but I'll list them before I mention how "discontented and enraged" I am with how what could have been, but turned out to be something else.

LIKES

The premise of this drama drew me in, the first episode was really great. It's like a unique start. The introduction of the characters also seemed great. During the premise, I got to withness the chemistry of the first leads, "Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu." I said to myself then, "this is going to be fun." From the premise, I got to see two friends who seemed like enemies meet again. Although all that is common when watching a drama, I still loved it regardless.

The flashbacks of when Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu were kids. How they grew up together, down to when they became high school teenagers. It's really nice to know their history, how they protected each other when they're kids. How they're there for each other during the happy moments, and of course, the sad ones too. It's really nice to watch their embarrassing moments which they'd rather forget when they're kids. I laughed upon some of those moments when they're kids. I mean, the funny ones.

Also, Jung Hae In and Jung So Min, their chemistry was really great during the first few episodes. I loved their interaction which seemed like bickerings. It's really great to see. From the first episode, to about the seventh one, they had this unique and nice chemistry. There were some scenes I love because of this two. For one, that pool scene.

Jung Mo Eum and Kang Dan Ho also made me laugh at some points. There's this scene when there's only a drink of a particular brand that remained, and it just so happens that these two have the same tastes. It's funny to see them quibbling on who touched that drink first. There's also another scene which I liked. It's when Mo Eum and Dan Ho were in the car and she told Dan ho her crush was "Mudflat Man." In that instant, she realized the shirt he wore was the same one her secret crush had on that day, even though she didn't catch a glimpse of his face. Then and there, she knew Dan Ho was Mudflat Man all along. The awkwardness.... That scene made me laugh.

Another thing I liked about this drama is when the misunderstanding of Seung Hyo's parents were cleared up. They finally reconciled after so long. I almost forgot, there's this scene when Seung Hyo was going to propose to Seok Ryu, but nothing was going his way. When he wanted to propose at a restaurant and was carrying a cake. However, that cake was crushed when he tripped and fell. That scene was so funny.

Ah, without excluding when Seok Ryu finally found her dream. It's good to see her dream after having searched for it for some time. In my opinion, a dream doesn't have to be something grand, or something big, just as you find happiness when pursuing it. That's all that matters. I loved it when she finally pursued her dream, even though her parents were against it at first. I also loved some scenes of the "Lavender" Sisters, formerly the "Suk" sisters.

I think that's all about it. All that'll follow is my "dissatisfactions". They'll sound harsh, but I just have to say it.

DISLIKES

The duration for the episodes is excessive. They went overboard with it. The first episode was around 66 - 67 minutes. It'd have been nice if they continued with that, but they just had to increase the duration. I started to see 80 minutes, then 90 minutes. 16 episodes is too long for such a plot and storyline as is. The least Netflix could have done to prevent audience from getting tired/bored of the drama, is to keep the episode duration at a maximum of nothing more than 60/65 minutes, but what did they do? Each episode's duration kept on increasing, till I almost got fed up. If you eat too much, you get indigestion. If you drink too much, you'll get a hangover. In other words, moderation is best. But in this one? I didn't see that moderation, all I saw were padded episodes.

LND lacks greatly as a Rom-Com. It's too overly dramatic. I watch Rom-Coms for two reason. One, for the comedic relief and laughter. Two, for the light-heartedness, but what did I get? A big disappointment. LND didn't feel like a Rom-Com most of the time, it's like a melodrama. Too much emotions. If I wanted an emotional drama, or a melodramatic one, I wouldn't have chosen a Rom-Com, I'd go for a melodrama. What's a Rom-Com? It's simple. A Rom-Com makes you laugh your heart out, it makes you forget about life's problem for a short while. The question is, did LND achieve that? I don't think so. The fact that LND was promoted as only a Rom-Com, without telling fans that's it's infact a melodrama infuriates me. What I saw was 75% melodrama and 25% comedy, and that really got on my nerves. It's just too emotional for a Rom-Com. If you want to watch LND because it's a Rom-Com, then I'd advice you to save yourself from it. Well, the first four episodes were funny, but after that? It's mostly full of melodramatic embellishments. I'm trying to be polite here by calling it just that.

And what's with the whole ex comeback trope? I know it's common in dramas, too common that it's become a cliché. But really, was that whole scenario necessary? Seung Hyo's ex wasn't annoying, she even tried to get him and Seok Ryu together. But Seok Ryu's ex? He's really annoying. For some reasons, he gets on my nerves. Do you know what makes it even more annoying? It's the fact that it took Seok Ryu almost forever to reject his advances, she's even giving him attention. Oh, I can't stand that. The more she gave him attention, the more hubristic he became. When she eventually set things straight between them, I felt it's too late. But it's better late than never. Still, there's no need to keep dragging out what could have been wrapped up in an episode or two.

There's also the romance. It fell flat for me. Yes, it's a slowburn, although it's not promoted as one. I've watched many slowburn romance, and they're not like this. It took forever for the romance to bloom in this one. I waited, waited, and waited again, untill I got tired of waiting. Just as I thought the romance was about to blossom, the whole cancer trope set in. Really? Is this the best Netflix could offer? They kept going around in circles regarding the romance. Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu finally got together at episode 11. I don't know whether it's because it took them a thousand years for their relationship to blossomed romantically, I'm not sure. However, when they finally got together, it's too late that I could no longer feel anything. Let me put it this way. It felt like an adult whom as a kid wanted a particular toy, but couldn't get it, till he became adult. As an adult, she's now in possession of the toy, do you think the toy would still hold the same value/meaning it held years back when she's a kid? I don't think so. By then, the toy would have lost its meaning. Well, it depends on the person. As for me, that's how I feel about the romance in this one. "Timing" is very important. But the romance here lacks proper timing.

And what's wrong with Seok Ryu? What's with the contradictory character? After all she went through while she's overseas, I can't believe she's still thinking about going back there to pursue her cooking career. Some people never learn, do they? I don't know if I should call her a goal getter, overly positive, or plain stupid. She said it herself that she doesn't want to go back, that she won't be going back, but she's going back on her word? After all the cancer, depression, I thought she wouldn't even think about working there ever again, but it appears it's all my wishful thinking. She says one thing, and does another. How contradictory!

When Mo Eum confessed her feelings to Dan Ho, she's rejected. He said words like, "No, we can't. Never." So I wanted to know why he rejected her, why he used those words. Because of a promise? Because of what happened to his family some years back? Till the end, there wasn't really any sort of clarification as regards to why he said that. Nothing. They've got to be kidding me. After all that, how could there be no clarification on that?

Also, what's with Seok Ryu's mother, Mi Suk? She's too immature. She nitpicks over the littlest things. I can't stand her character sometimes. First, it's when Seok Ryu returned, it's as if she's embarrassed to let people know she's her daughter. Two, she tried to get her daughter and her ex back together. And then, the way she treats her husband. There's also her inferiority complex. Throughout the drama, I've never seen her apologize to her husband. Not even once. I thought I'd be seeing some character development, but there's none. And that's really irritating.

I didn't want to say this, but I will. What's with Seok Ryu's English speaking? I mean, she lived in the States for over a decade. At the very least, her English should be fluent to a certain point, but it isn't. They should have dubbed her voice out or something. This a Netflix drama for Heaven's sake, so why did they hand us such low quality? I don't get it.

And there's also Seung Hyo's company, Atelierin. That place seem pretty deserted for a company. It's a company with two CEOs, so why are there only 4-5 employees? And to make it worse, it's a company that's been running for years, plus, it has won many awards. So it kept me wondering how they were able to do all that with just four employees when they're in the architectural industry. It just doesn't make sense. At least, if you're going to hand us a load of crap, make it believable. All the flaws of this drama doesn't make it seem like a Netflix drama, not one bit. With all the hype, is this the best they could give?

About the cancer trope. I'm not against it one bit. Why? It's because I tend to believe life come in pairs. I believe we have four seasons for a reason. Also, we all have that winter moments. After all, the reason why she decided to quit her job needs to be a valid one. Plus, the cancer clarified the question I had about why she decided to quit her job back in the states, and suddenly decided to return to her homeland, South Korea. But why? Why couldn't they just end all those emotional moments with an episode? Was an episode duration of over 80 minutes not enough for all that? Why did they have to drag it out? It's really annoying. I only wanted a clarification. Yes, I did get what I wanted, but did they have to go on and on till it got really frustrating and annoying? It just doesn't make sense. Just a mere waste of time.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I'm sorry, but I just can't bring myself to like something just because many loved it. I'm not the type who hypes a drama just because others are hyping it, it just doesn't make sense. If I'm disappointed, I'll say it. If I'm impressed, I'll say it. This is me. I can't call a disappointment, a masterpiece, or intriguing. Not my style. I know this is harsh, but this one is a big disappointment. I just have to say it. I'm enraged with how LND turned out. If LND wasn't my most anticipated drama of the year, I might have decided to cut it some slack. However, it is, so I can't. "To whom much is given, much is expected from". That's what I believe in, you see. The premise is unique and all that, but is it only the premise that makes a drama? The answer is "No". A premise of a drama can only do so much. A drama has to be engaging as it unfolds to be called "a true work of art". Unfortunately, I don't get that feeling from LND. Furthermore, I don't overlook a drama's flaw just because the leads are my favourites. I call it what it is regardless of how much I love the leads.

Did this have potential? Yes, it did. At least, that's what I thought, at some point.
The ending is great, but since it's all predictable, why drag it out? Why make it so frustrating? Why? Just why was a drama that could have been interesting, engaging, one of the best, turned into the frustration it became?

Is this the best Rom-Com of the year? Certainly not. Engaging? No, it isn't? Would I recommend this one? I won't. Is this worthwhile? It's not. Aside from the premise, and some lovely scenes, the rest is trash. LND fell flat as a Rom-Com. It lacks as a Rom-Com. This is not me "fuming," it's the harsh truth that some are ignoring and turning a blind eye to. I'll be the bad guy and call this one what it really is. Three words, "underwhelming, frustrating, and boring."

You can watch it if you're curious though. Who knows? Your opinion might differ from mine, you might actually love it. But as for me? I didn't like it, or shall I say I have mixed feelings?

LND was really great at the premise. Honestly. But what came after was unexpectedly lackluster.

My overall rating is 6.5/10, considering the fact that I enjoyed some parts of it. I'm not rating this any lower because of four reasons. One, the chemistry of the leads during the first five episodes. Two, their lovely moments. Three, because the leads looks cute. Four, the acting of Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, and the other two leads (Kim Ji Eun and Yun Ji On). If not for these four reasons, it deserves lower, considering all the trauma I went through while watching this one. In my opinion, 6.5/10 is still a fair rating, considering how lacking, disappointing, frustrating, and underwhelming this was.

SIDE NOTE;

I stop dropping comments, even though I was dissatisfied with how each episode was unfolding to avoid being called hateful, and all sorts of names for saying how I truly feel. Most importantly, I didn't want to spoil the fun for those who were enjoying the show. I didn't want to be a bummer. I even gave this review a second thought, but decide to write it cause I couldn't contain how I feel about it. So here I am....

Let's say you love a particular brand of drink. One day, you visit a convenience store and discover that only one of the brand remains, but it's past its expiration date. Would you still take it because it's your favorite? I won't.
What I'm trying to say in essence is, you can't force yourself to like something that's not good. That's it.
Well then...
Thanks for reading♡♡♡♡ And for those who want to watch regardless, hope you enjoy it all the same ♡♡♡♡

DBXY's quest to become stronger.

Snow Eagle Lord tells the story of DBXY who had to survive and grow stronger after the attack lunched by his uncle on the Snow Eagle Territory. In this attack, his maternal uncle killed his father, and abducted his mother. DBXY withness the cruelty and betrayal of his uncle, thus, he vowed to become stronger. One, to rescue his mother from captivity. Two, to make his maternal uncle pay with his life for the death of his father. Hence, he practices day and night, without rest.
In his quest to become stronger, he meets Yu Jing Qiu, by chance. Together, they cultivate and fights against the cultivation world that's been polluted with Demons.

The premise is really great, there, I saw a man with dreams, aspiration, and goals. Even though their were many talks about the bad CGI and all. Still, I wasn't swayed, cuz I was enjoying the show thanks to Xu Kai and Guli Nazar. I loved their chemistry even though the FL, Guli Nazar is criticized for her bad acting, in my opinion, I think her acting is great. I love her acting. What made this drama fall off from its peak of engaging plot is, as the drama unfolds, I found the humans becoming dumb, and even dumber, while the demons were overly smart, always three steps ahead of the humans. DBXY and Yu Jin Qiu are the first leads in this one, but they always get outsmarted by demons most of the time, that really got on my nerves. DBXY, Yu Jin Qiu, and the human cultivators only started to pick up their pace during the last 8 episodes of the drama, but I felt it's a bit too late for that. Really? After all this while, why now? That's the question I kept asking.

I did love the romance in this one. Plus, I loved the character development of DBXY and Yu Jin Qiu. Also, I loved the ending. We see our main couple live happily ever after, with their child. The villains received their retributions. I I guess that's why I kept pacing back and forth on the rating to give this one. After much thought, I decided on an overall of 8.0.

In conclusion, Snow Eagle Lord is an interesting drama, but frustrating at many points at the same time. It takes a patient watcher to complete such a drama. So, if you're reading this review and want to watch it, you've got to know how to patiently wait, cuz it took a while before the demons were finally outsmarted.

A Tale Of Love

"Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact" tells the story of Tushan Hong Hong, the chief of Tushan who cares about Tushan more than she does herself. Years ago, she saved Donfang Yue Chu because of his bloodline and raised him. After years, when Dongfang Yue Chu became an adult, his relationship with Tushan Hong Hong became closer. These two developed feelings for each other despite their age gap. Tushan Hong Hong is a fox spirit who has lived for hundreds of years, probably even thousands of years, while Dongfang Yue Chu is only a young man in his 20s. The gap is quite clear, but they still fall in love, I love this about them. "A love that transcends age difference," that's what their love exhibits.

What do I love about this drama? What I love about this drama is the chemistry of the leads, while some might say that their romance fall flat, that wasn't the case for me. Loved the chemistry of this two couples.
I've been reading comments saying the FL acting is off in this drama and that she doesn't make audience feel anything. But in my opinion, Yang Mi's acting here is top tier. Her role as Tushan Hong Hong is a cold character, a very cold one to be precise. She's the chief of Tushan, she's duty bound, she carries the weight of thousands on her shoulders, plus the fact that she has to protect her clan against the evil villain, so her cold facial expression is very justifiable if you're to ask me. Yang Mi, Gong Jun, the other leads, and supporting characters performed well in their respective roles.

The reason I'm not giving this a rating above 8.5 is because I'm not satisfied with the ending, no more, no less. As for the other aspects, I loved "Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact" thoroughly. Is this a drama I'd recommend? Of course. Is this worthwhile? The answer is "Yes".
In short, "Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact" is a drama I'd recommend for watchers who love Xianxia, it's a worthwhile drama. Ignore the negative comments, reviews, and low ratings, watch this with an open mind, you just might love it!

Through The Rain and Dust, a Deep Love For You!

"Maiden Holmes" is a captivating drama that will keep you glued to your screen. It's a drama about love, investigation, adventure, and justice. "Maiden Holmes" follows the story of Xiao Yan Zhi (Prince Qi) who was forced to relinquish his military power by the villain of the imperial court, even after he won numerous war, and sustained many injuries and scars while serving the country. During the last war he fought before he was forced to relinquish his military power, someone in the imperial court colluded with the enemy, blocking all reinforcements, but Xiao Yan Zhi being a skilled and experienced general, he won the war nevertheless, but his army suffered many casualties. After returning, from the war, the villain of the court schemed against him, Xiao Yan Zhi seeing the situation, he relinquished his military power willingly. During the last battle he fought, he knew there was someone who wanted him and his army to perish, so he began his investigation.

In the course of his investigation, he met Su Ci, a skilled detective of Mingjing Office who's from the wronged and falsely accused Bai Liang Clan. Su Ci disguised herself as a man, became a detective so she could investigate the wrongful extermination of her family. One wants to discover the truth behind the his last battle (Honggu war), and the other wants to prove the innocence of her family and her entire clan. Eventually, two hearts that wants to find out the truth and bring justice to the dead meets, and formed an unbreakable bond. Xiao Yan Zhi and Su Ci began their investigation and quest for the truth and justice, in this quest they made two friends Xie Bei Ming and Dong Rushuang. Together they discovered the truth, bring justice to the dead, and finally cleared the names of the wrongfully accused.

What do I love about this drama? What I love about "Maiden Holmes" is how Xiao Yan Zhi and Su Ci relationship blossomed into a romantic one, and how their bond became unbreakable. Hence my title, "Through the rain and dust, a deep love for you". Indeed, through all situations, they never let go of each other's hands, for that, I admire their relationship. While this is not the best detective drama, it's a unique drama, that I know for sure. Honesty, I've been pondering on whether to watch this or not, but finally gave it a try because of Zhang Ling He. And as expected from him, he delivered, there's also Sabrina Chen, her acting impressed me. Without leaving out the supporting characters of course.

So, is this drama worthwhile? Without a doubt! Is this a must watch? Most definitely. "Maiden Holmes" is a drama that's worth every hour, minutes, and seconds. So, don't miss out this wonderful drama, it's a drama anyone wouldn't want to miss!

Melancholic Drama

Wonderful world started wonderfully but heartbreakingly. It exhibited a saddening aura right from the very first episode.

Wonderful world is what I'd refer to as a "saddening drama"! This is one of the most saddening kdramas I've watched. I mean, the first two episodes completely changed my mood from cheerful to sad.
Eun Soo hyun and Gwon Seon Yul suffered greatly. Soo hyun lost her son, and during those time she almost lost the will to live. Seon Yul lost his father, making his family fall into ruins. The first two leads character are one of the most melancholy characters I've seen.

But it's a good thing justice was served in the end, and the villain was punished. Furthermore, the best of of it all was that soo hyun and seol hyun rose again, and finally got their lives back. And though the ending was a kind of rushed, and it wasn't exactly what I expected, I'd like to commend the actors of wonderful world, they were awesome in their respective roles.
All the actors portrayed their roles wonderfully, especially the first leads.

Another glamorous drama of LGX and ZLY yet again

When I started watching this drama, I had high expectations because the leads previous drama "the princess agents" is a masterpiece. But what can I say? The legend of Shen Li exceeded my expectations!!!

The legend of Shen Li li has it all!! Romance, action, wonderful CGI, comedy, etc...
I've watched many xianxia dramas, but this one is different, its a gem, and a masterpiece. The acting, the sound, everything about this drama is excellent!!!
Furthermore, the end of this drama is also a happy one!!!

An appealing, and interesting urban cdrama

Best choice ever is an interesting family drama which started with a comedy but seriousness at the same time. Best choice ever is indeed an interesting family drama.

There are four characters I loved the most in this drama and those characters are; Mai chenghuan, Yao Zhiming, Mao Yongxin, and Mai Chengzao.

What I loved about chenghuan is her principle, determination, decisiveness and ambitiousness. There's also the love she has for her whole family, and when she's taken a decision, she always stand by that decision.

There's also Yao zhiming, a successful businessman who only seeked profit in whatever he does. Furthermore, he had little trust in people, the only one he trusted was his secretary 'he dong'. But he later changed his view of life upon getting to know chenghuan. He discovered the true beauty and meaning of life.

There's also chenghuan's best friend "mao yongxin" who married early but later decisively got a divorce. What I liked most about her is her desciveness.
And there's also chengzao. He studied law, but found it hard getting into a top law firm.

Among these characters, there's chenghuan who had a failed relationship but didn't allow it to affect her determination. Zhiming who didn't believe in true love but unexpectedly fell in love with chenghuan. Yongxin who no longer believed in marriage, changed her mind when she fell in love with chengzao. And there's chengzhao who reunited with, and married the woman he's loved for more than a decade.

In conclusion, best choice ever is a very realistic urban cdrama. The reality acting, happenings of life, and comedy are what made it unique. And really, anyone who chooses to watch this drama won't be disappointed!!
