Thanks, I Hate This Tokusatsu

I could not even finish this show because it was just so emotionally draining and put me in a bad place every time I watched it.

This show is certified garbage.

It's a pre-villain origin story, so you already don't want to root for him. That backstory is retconned from what we've previously seen (or maybe timeline shenanigans, either way it's confusing at best). And then they retcon how the villains work, making them sympathetic and you just want to punch Jinga for beating up kids and rape victims.

It only gets any points at all because the characters of the week are so sympathetic on their own.

I actually quit this, but then fandom hype brought me back, which made me hate it even more.

The Kouga and Raiga eras are the heart of what Garo truly is. Ryuuga Garo can fuck off.

(Gold Storm is a better Ryuuga!Garo in theory, but that season also has Jinga who can also fuck off.)
