Favourite SK Actors
In the order of when I saw them/when they became a favourite.
-
Jang Hyuk
Sud-coréen
- Shine or Go Crazy (1st Kdrama!)
- Windstruck
- Into the Sunlight (he was so young in this!)
- Tell me what you saw (on-hold)
Shine and Go Crazy was my 1st K-drama. I did start watching it for it's historical setting and intrigue but Jang Hyuk's acting is what really got me. I was amazed by how he played the role of the fool on the outside but the serious schemer on the flip side so well. He did have a unique laugh which took me totally by surprise but overall his charisma won me over. To be honest, I don't think I've seen him in enough other works (even the ones I have seen him in after have unfortunately not impressed me) to definitely say he's one of my favourites but for the reasons stated above I think he deserves to be #1 on this list, for the time being.

Nam Goong Min
Sud-coréen
Tbh I don't remember him much in the 1st drama I saw him in but I remember thinking we was good at acting eccentric in BGS which was different compared to all the other "perfect" and stoic MLs I was seeing in K-dramas at the time. Chief Kim is where I really started liking him as an actor. I still remember to this day the one scene where he gets angry and ngl it gave me goosebumps. He looked fantastic in The Undateables but that show and the characters in general were soo bland, I dropped it. After taking a break from K-dramas for a while, I got back into his dramas with The Veil and Hot Stove League, both with which I was greatly impressed! Also, his transformation in The Veil was just...wow.

Seo In Guk
Sud-coréen
- Hello Monster
- No Breathing
- High School King of Savvy (dropped)
- 38 Task Force (on-hold)
- Doom at Your Service
Tbh I haven't liked a lot of his work and sometimes he can come off as monotone in his acting but I'm still so addicted to watching him act? What is this sorcery. There's just something captivating about him that I can't quite place (I mean yea he is good looking too but I don't think it's just that?).

Do Kyung Soo
Sud-coréen
- Hello Monster
- My Annoying Brother
- Positive Physique
- Along with the Gods The Two Worlds
- 100 Days My Prince
I was blown away by his acting in Hello Monster (he was so creepy!) and My Annoying Brother. These 2 works of his, I saw back to back without knowing beforehand he was even in them. At the time, I also had no idea who he was but was very impressed with his acting esp for someone of his age. When I looked him up I was surprised to find out acting wasn't his main gig! He has since become a favourite artist of mine in general.
-
Jun Ji Hyun
Sud-coréen
- Windstruck
- You Who Came from the Stars
- Legend of the Blue Sea
She does both comedy and melo so well! I find her really fun to watch and she was the main reason why I even finished those last 2 dramas.
-
Yeo Jin Goo
Sud-coréen
- Reunited Worlds
- Circle
- Hotel Del Luna
- The Long Way Home
- Beyond Evil
He's just an absolute pleasure and joy to watch on screen. He embodies every role he plays with such conviction you believe he's that character completely.
