First saw Emi in the Ruruni Kenshin movies where she played the main heroine Kaoru a role to which i felt she portrayed brilliantly. Since then the roles i have seen her in have increased in complexity but also allowing her to show her true skill as a actress. After Yui Aragaki Emi's one of my favourite actresses.

First saw her in Zeni no Sento where she had main role alongside Yuko Oshima and i thought that her portrayal of her character was excellent. Then came Ishi no mayu and its sequel Suisho no Kodo where she gave an even better performance and making her one of my favourite actresses ever.
