About a high school student who look like Nobunaga and back in time ! One of the best drama ever. The realization is wonderful, the music are so great and the serie is at same time funny, sad and with much action. Please watch it for sure !!!!!!!

50% Thriller, 50% Time slip - TV Serie

For me, the best adaptation ever ! I mean, like the manga or the anime, you can't stop to watch !! Each end of episode is like "What will happen !" and you start the next episode. If you don't know the story of the manga or the anime, I think you will enjoy more the drama ! (PS : The story of the drama is exactly the same as the manga, because the anime did a great job for the end but still different from the manga).

Note for the movie :

I didn't like the end of the movie, I wouldn't recommend it when you have such a good tv serie !!! Please don't watch it at first, especially if you don't know the story.

100% Romance (please prepare your tissues)

How can I say ? Perfect adaptation ? And it is not a movie itself at first but a a long TV episode. They keep the music from the anime, and it was a nice choice. Either you want to watch and discover the story, I would recommend either movie or anime because both are great !!! Please watch it !!!!

Sangatsu no lion ... I'm a great fan of the anime, then what should I say about that movie ?

Well, it did a great job ! Of course, if you don't know the story at all, I wouldn't recommend the live action than the anime but still great if you're not that much into anime or if you already watched the anime and curious about it ! Must-to-watch

100% Action

The first movie Azumi is like a masterpiece to me in term of realization. The second one was ok but not as good as the first one. If you like fight with katana, please watch it now !!!

50% Mystery, 50% Friendship

One of the best drama I've watched of 2018. I didn't know it was adapted from a manga to be honest. The actors are great (Yamada Takayuki and Suda Masaki mostly). A must to watch.

100% Thriller - TV Serie

I think many people was surprised. This adaptation is pretty cool ! The choices on the scenario were great (especially the choice to make Light Yagami more human than the manga, Kubota Masataka did a great job !). I recommend for sure this adaptation, which was probably the best among all (American and Japanese).

Note for movies :

There are 4 movies of death note (2 for the original stories, 1 for L: change the world and one recent from 2016, which was a 100% made story) : Well, for me those adaptation weren't bad at all, but not good. I did like what they did in the recent movie, but still remains many problems. I would recommend to watch them if you're not big fan of the manga.

I was pretty impressed by that movie to be honest. They did a great job to choose the best moments of the manga. And of course, it is tearful, be prepared !

100% Horror/zombie

Who said Japanese can't do nice zombie movie ? This adaptation from the manga is sooo perfect and the zombies are so scaring. It is really well realized.

50% School with a great Teacher, 50% Sport and friendship

Well ... Should I really introduce one of the best School drama ever ? Please watch it if you like School drama.

75% Karuta (Japanese card's game), 25% Romance

Well, if you know Chihayafuru (Anime or manga), the movies are really well written. I watched both anime and movies, I felt almost the same (Of course, anime is best for me). I would recommend it more if you didn't see the anime or read the manga.

I didn't read the manga neither watched the anime but I really liked the first season !! The cast was great and the actor for Onizuka too. However, I felt the second season lost something and the quality dropped. I didn't watch the part in Taiwan however.

You want to be hungry and to see countryside life in Japan ? It is a sweet movie but don't expect too much action, Hashimoto Ai is almost the only one who make the show here ! But she did well :)

I can't compare to the manga as I didn't read it but the movies were so special ! Special is the positive way, I think it's like an UFO in Japanese cinema !

90% Thriller, 10% Harem

This drama is adapted from a manga also. It is kind of harem because some scenes are kind of "ero" but not too much. To be honest, I really liked all the women and of course the main character (which is the singer from Radwimps btw). It is mainly a thriller, I let you check the synopsis !

50% Action, 50% Thriller

It is about a young genius Hacker. To resume, he will fight the vilains with his computer. Very good drama !

100% School drama with great teacher

It is just like all that dramas with a great teacher. This one is a little bit old (2005) but really nice one. Abe Hiroshi did a great job here ! You should watch it if you like school drama with great teacher !

75% Romance, 25% Otaku

About a love between an Otaku and a beautiful woman. To be honest, this drama was soooooo interesting ! I like the relation between the main character and other people from internet.

100% Romance

School, Romance, Strong girl, Ikemen. Well I think it could resumed well the drama ! It is a 100% Romance drama, it is all about the couple (Ok, a few friendhip but it is really a few). Personally, I felt bored for the second season and never watched the movie. It was too much for me. But at least, I enjoyed so much the first season then I would put a great grade.

Note for Hana Nochi Hare :

I will put together Hana Nochi Hare, which is the "next" of Hana Yori Dango. However, all the casts is different and previous characters are just mentioned. Well, the story is also all about romance between poor girl and rich guy but I would say, I prefered Hana Nochi Hare for Hirano Sho who was hilarious in this role !

25% History, 25% Medical, 25% Time slip, 25% Friendship&soft romance

Jin is about a doctor who came back in Edo Jidai (Precisely just before Meiji). The realization of the drama is really great and story is worth to watch. However, I thought second season was a little bit slow at the beginning. But you should watch it for sure  !! (Be careful, Japaneses show everything in the chirurgical operations in their dramas, if you bad at that, avoid that kind of drama please.)

Adapted from a manga and about a previous Judo girl who will work for a weekly manga magazine (like Shonen jump). Reallllly interesting and funny drama, you'll for sure learn many things from this serie !

One of the best drama of 2016. I think a second season will be broadcast around 2019 or 2020 (not sure). Just try to watch it !

Liar Game is really good suspens drama ! If you watch the first episodes, you'll be able to get the ambiance of the serie.

The theme song and dance from that drama is so famous in Japan, you'll for sure listen to it if you go there. Just for that, you should watch it ! The story is funny too, not a must-to-watch but still a really good romance

Second movie is planed for 2019 (I didn't watch it at the moment I'm writing that, of course).

The first movie was nice I think. Worst watching at least, the main actor is great.

Do you know "Gatari" series ? (Bakemonogatari, Hanamonogatari etc ...), this one has the same creator at base. The story is really nice, the theme song is really good too !

It is about a girl who will become "Empress" of the nightlife scene. Well, it was pretty good because it make you able to understand the nightlife in Japan. Plus, it is in Osaka (Sorry, I'm great lover of Kansai !)

Well, I put "25% Forbidden Romance" because at first it is story about student (very young, 15 y/o) and his teacher (around 25 y/o) at first. To be honest, I didn't like it so much. The teacher is very annoying and not adult at all. However please forgive me, it is personnal viewpoint. It is for sure, one of the big hit of 2018 and you should watch it if you like special romance.

I wrote 100% school drama but to be honest it is a particular one. Adapted from a manga which talk about "intersexuality". I'm not an expert with that subject and that is why it was interesting to watch this drama and learn about that. However, I think it is necessary to be open minded and a little bit interested by that subject or you'll just find it very boring.

Well, it was not bad, not good too. Just about a girl who travel in time and fall in love with a young Samurai, but everything is very light !

A little bit disappointed and I felt bored watching it. Not a movie I would recommend.

About a Samurai who come in current era. The title said "Sensei" but not much of Student/sensei is shown in this drama, don't expect too much from that side. However, the drama was nice to watch

Not good enough for me. The original story is too much "western style" to be adapted and played by only asian people (And it would be prefer "normal" hair than wig). Just watch the anime Brotherhood or first version which has a great ending too but not this one, except to be curious

Sorry ... For me it is a big "NO PLEASE". Normally, I'm moderated about live action. But as a big fan of the anime, I couldn't like the adaptation. Every single joke or scene was ridiculous for me. As personal viewpoint, I wouldn't recommend but if you curious enough, you should try to watch.

Probably the worst adaptation ever. I do not judge about special effects or realisation but more about story. Trying an original story was a good idea, but definitively not this one. To avoid or to watch just by curiosity.
