Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty
My ID is Gangnam Beauty - with micro facial gestures he brought life to a character who had been written as fairly cold, wooden and uptight. He delivered some breathtakingly romantic lines matter-of-factly and he revealed a bottled-up depth of emotion as the character engaged with his family.

Austin Lin

2ML in I Will Never Let You Go , I was especially surprised by the depth he brought to a character that could have been completely flat and ridiculous...hard to make someone like that sympathetic and even worthwhile. I ended up liking him more than the virtuous ML (something that never happens since I don't gravitate toward the "bad boy")
ML in Unexpected (manga writer in his own comic has to help redeem FL who is in role of evil 2FL)

Kang Ki Young
Sud-coréen
Every time I see Kang Ki Young in a supporting role, it's memorable. If I recognize him in a drama, I know at least part of it (his) will be fairly good regardless of the acting from the primary roles.

I hear You: violin-maker role... not outstanding or horrible acting, but phenomenal just to look at
