  • Do Bong Soon, une force de la nature

    1. Do Bong Soon, une force de la nature

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    10

My favourite rom-com - I love a man that loves a strong woman and how can you not love the cutest actress in the world smashing things.

I live for Park Bo-young's adorableness and Hwangsik's return to Kdramaland (soon). I consider him one of the best male idol-actors.

  • Because This is My First Life

    2. Because This is My First Life

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    9.5

Focusing on 3 female best friends and their dreams and love interests this drama is all about the modern woman and the respect they deserve. This is as far from a needy princess and her knight in shining armour as you can get.

From the first time I watched this and every time after that I think that nothing has happened but then I realise I'm on the last episode and time has flown. It includes so much and yet nothing at all, in the best way possible, and I've yet to see another drama do the same.

  • Prison Playbook

    3. Prison Playbook

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    9.5

I didn't expect to like this drama but how could I have ever doubted the Reply series and Hospital Playlist writer. I also didn't think I'd like the main lead at the start but he grew on me as was meant to.

I don't like stories about prison, I thought walking that tightrope of romanticising crime and criminals and creating lovable characters was practically impossible. Not for this writer.

  • I’m Not a Robot

    4. I’m Not a Robot

    Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes

    9.5

An underrated gem that lives in my heart. Chae Soo-bin can be anything and if it's pretending to be a robot for a genius with a human "allergy" then she shall.

This drama does an amazing job of filling the time despite their small amount of characters and locations. Also where I learned Yoo Seung-ho was more brilliant than I expected even with his child actor reputation.

  • Chicago Typewriter

    5. Chicago Typewriter

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    9.5

Another underrated gem. Every time I've watched it I think why do I like this drama again? The start gives off a basic, typical impression of the FL meeting the cold and recluse ML and hating him. But then it kicks into gear and as more and more of the story is drawn out and I discover what this drama is really about then I'm left wanting more and feeling devastated that it's finishing. This is possibly the only reincarnation story I like.

And that I can no longer see any more of Yoo Ah-in in glasses and sexy hair.

  • Tunnel

    6. Tunnel

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    10

Following after Signal's innovation Tunnel is one of many crime dramas from this year about time travel and crime fighting but Tunnel manages to hold it's own amongst them and dare I say it, be better than Signal.

I love Signal and it will always win out in my heart against Tunnel but Tunnel is more cleanly put together and takes no wrong turns.
