Season: 1

In order to keep his political funds and retain the support of his daughter, who is the largest shareholder, Yoo Moon Bae had threatened his daughter with the death of Dae Koo's mother. After hearing this, many are shocked at Yoo Moon Bae's cruelty. Dae Koo cannot believe that this was the reason his mother was killed. In the office, Dae Koo is in great grief. Unafraid of going against protocol, Pan Seok calls the media together. At the press conference, he takes off his police uniform, a metaphor for being stripped of position and says that he is about to bring someone down along with him. (Source: Viu)

I seriously can’t stand it

My #1 pet peeve with kdramas is how often they gloss over deplorable behaviors. It’s to the point that I’m relieved when I came across the few which shows antagonists actually reaping what they sow. Luckily it seems to be improving with more recent dramas (not close to enough though). Team Leader Seo’s whole reflective speech about not trusting the police chief to the end was absolute bullshit. He was right not to trust as she was constantly doing very bad shit and kept on doing so with the excuse that she’d eventually turn herself in once she got what she wanted. What absolute horseshit! I already have soooo many issues with the writing for this drama but this aspect straight up disgusts me. Ugh!

Ambitious!

Ambitious of them to suddenly toss in a twist. It's not much of a twist, but it's something. However, it's the second to last episode and that twist creates a lot of plot holes and unanswered questions. Answers need to be given to make something feel legit, and in this case I think the writers new they had created a very stereotypical plot. So why not try to add a twist. Sadly it only exposes the show to plot holes and a rushed ending.

And to be honest the twist was so freaking stupid. I'd thought about them doing that, but it just felt so cheap.

Overall things are about average for the show, but now I'm wondering how things will wrap up smoothly. Especially now that they brought a certain Prosecutor back, one felt really out of place when introduced. Sigh. This isn't going to be a strong ending. Or who knows, maybe things will take a turn.
