The night before their wedding Jin Yuanbao sets out to tell Jiang Xiao Xuan that their marriage is to be in name only and to be dissolved at a later date when the dowager empress no longer needs their marriage to secure the crown for her eldest grandson. Too bad he was telling this to Yu Qilin who is masquerading as Jiang Xiao Xuan because the real Jiang Xiao Xuan has already ran away at this point.
