A Comfort Show For All Ages

This series is funny, lighthearted, endearing and overall an easy Sunday night watch.

The cast so far is solid, Book, Poon & JJ are clearly carrying the show with their excellent comedic timing. Book’s characterisation of Arm’s naivety however is extremely endearing & sweet which makes me silently root for him.

These types of shows tend to tread dangerously closely to being cringe if done poorly, but so far everyone is bringing their A game.

Simply put, the show feels like warm well-balanced & flavourful soup on a cold rainy day

Note: Since its airing following We Are & is directed by the same Director, naturally there are a lot of comparisons. My personal opinion is that P10L has better storyline pacing and the screen times are also much better allocated. The overall cast chemistry also feels a bit more authentic.

Three in one, for the same price, and the perfect hysterical

My first impression when I learned about its future premiere was that a series with 24 episodes was not ideal for me. But after the beginning, we begin to realize how things will go: There are 8 chapters for each of the three main couples. That is, it works as if they were three independent series in one. And yes... this way perhaps it would have worked the same and even better, but this would go against GMMTV's winning formula.
The series offers us three separate stories, but at the same time connected to each other because the characters are friends and all study at the Faculty of Engineering at a Thai university. They are, in fact, members of an exclusive circle of "Perfect 10 Liners", a group made up of extraordinary students from various years, and which will include Arm (Book), Wine (Mark) and Gun (Santa), first year students, when they participate in a drawing to determine their peer mentors.
In this way, these three students, who also do not know each other until they meet on the university campus, will meet Arc (Force), Faifa (Junior) and Yotha (Perth), who will be their tutors, but also with whom, also in that order, will begin a love story.
'Perfect 10 Liners' is a youth comedy and romance series that follows the story of these six young people, who come from separate and parallel universes (we don't know anything, at least yet, about social origins, family relationships, etc., but These are also not questions that many Thai BLs delve into, in general) but their encounter leads them to try to find a new direction, with a new world and a new version of themselves. The sextet will pursue their dreams, their struggles with friendships, romantic relationships, social norms and acceptance/self-acceptance, while trying to discover who each of them is, exploring their different student interests, their emotions and their sexual identities.
However, as is typical in the productions of New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul, its director and creator of numerous BL series, such as 'Make It Right: The Series' and 'Until We Meet Again', among others, the path to true love is full of obstacles and challenges, so the protagonists will face student difficulties, difficulties between friends, heart problems and other dilemmas. But what comes after each first love encounter of the six main characters? A journey of self-discovery, dreams and, of course, love. But this is said in the synopsis, episode 0 or Special broadcast days before the official start of the series, and various trailers, and as viewers we will have to discover it.
At the end of the day, this is a fiction about how you reach maturity and that is a road that never comes without bumps.
Why the decision to separate the plots and not develop them in parallel, as in 'We Are', for example? In my opinion, this is because, unlike the aforementioned series, there is no main couple here. Each couple has equal weight in the narrative as a whole, and in this way each one will have its story, which does not mean that one will stop combining with the others.
But the fundamental reason is that, unlike others that address university themes and multiple couples, the series presents us with three protagonists who do not enter university in the same academic year, but in different academic years. In this way, by the time Wine is introduced to the other members of "Perfect 10 Liners", Arm and Gun are already in the upper years of their careers and have been dating Arc and Yotha, respectively, for some time.
Therefore, the second and third stories, those that would be told from episodes 9 to 16, and from 17 to 24, would be those of the other four members of this select student club. We see the story from Arm's perspective, and it starts just at the moment when Wine asks Arm how he started his romance with Arc?
The setting is sublime with the faculties, dormitories, gardens and dining halls of the university, and in the background that incomparable mix of art, architecture and ancient culture and modernity that responds to the name of Thailand.
With a project that has points of contact with other of his productions, and through a territory explored by other directors and by himself, such as university romance, New retraces his steps and brings us another of his plots focused on different stories of several couples of young university students who go through a stage of falling in love with experiences of excitement, love, hope, happiness and certain emotions that are part of a romantic relationship, as we saw in 'We Are' and 'Fourever You', also of his authorship, but with the difference described above.
We agree that in the series business, BL or not, commonplaces abound, right?
Well, pretend that New and screenwriter Inthira Thanasarnsumrit, his usual accomplice in creating BL, like 'Star and Sky: Star in My Mind | Sky in Your Heart', 'A Boss and a Babe', 'We Are' and 'Our Skyy 2', took all the platitudes from every college story ever, but instead of "rehashing" them, they updated them.
As? With all the youthful concerns of today. From the use of social networks and group chats as a meeting point for students to the carbon footprint we are leaving, including sexual diversity, going to a university far from home, fitting in with strangers, the search for recreation and fun between exams and a thousand more conflicts.
The result is very interesting because it fuses the best of what has always worked in this industry with the best of what lovers of BL romantic comedies expect, all presented through beautiful cinematography. It's ultimately the perfect mix of rowdy antics and cuteness, all with quirky character dynamics.

THE FIRST STORY

Force and Book star in the first story in this series that follows a classic romantic premise. The plot revolves around two university students, one in the third year of Civil Engineering and the university's heartthrob, and the other in the first year of Electrical Engineering and administrator of the faculty's virtual page, both of different personalities, whose destinies are they intertwine in a context full of anger and withholdings, often with a setting that underlines their connection, such as a shower in each other's bedrooms when they barely know each other. Despite their differences, the protagonists fall deeply in love from the first moments in which their eyes meet.
After watching the first six episodes we can make some evaluations. These are preliminary considerations, because only the first of the 24 episodes that the series has has been broadcast, but viewing them tells us that we are facing a luminous post-adolescent drama, optimistic in just the right measure and that knows how to focus on the benefits of its characters. to transcend beyond the undeniable interest of the plots focused on their most mundane problems.
For example, it's very lighthearted but quick to see the way Arc and Arm begin to create a bond that goes beyond that of senior and junior. Both are specialists in hysterics, that flirting that acts like begging or simulating indecision.
The creator seems to be infatuated with the actors and their homosexual side, and here he accentuates it with total creative freedom, for the good of the followers of BL series in general and these two stars in particular. The first scenes of episode 1 already indicate where things are going, showing the two going from strangers to enemies and from there to... well, almost lovers.
Anyway, why beat around the bush if everyone already knew that the protagonists of this plot and main romantic attractions would be them. But hey, let's hope they are characters that gain much more depth and development. Because yes, romantic, sweet and humorous moments contribute a lot.
That is to say, 'Perfect 10 Liners' captures the viewer. When Force and his Arc appear, the series gains a lot of momentum. His mere presence on screen makes my heart burst with joy and gallop at more than 120 beats per minute. He is a proven actor, with extensive command of television codes in relation to camera treatment, to work a character with so much continuity and chapters, with so many diverse locations. For example, his role in this series is a co-lead, and as a result, extremely active in his relationship with other contexts and dramatic situations.
For his part, Book is one of those actors who find it useful to focus on the authenticity of the character. Despite being somewhat theatrical for television, its approach is always to seek the truth of each situation. The way he works is to understand why the character reacts in a certain way, whether with more grandiloquence or less, and making sure that authenticity is present in each scene.
The dialogues set the tone and the light plot. The plots of the other students remain in the background. They don't attract but they don't bother either.
The director also offers us the intervention of Amy and Fluke as Yipun and Jet, respectively, the couple who will make our protagonists meet and begin their rapid push and pull and the future of the relationship between both boys.
It is also encouraging to have Fluke Gawin Caskey, Drake Sattabut Laedeke, and Marc Pahum Jiyacharoen, who return to the BL series to play Arc's three friends, while Poon Mitpakdee and JJ Chayakorn Jutamat will play Arm's friends.
The story has many characters, but they are all united in various ways, so it makes sense to me to see so many people. Navigating the day-to-day cast of characters in real life is no different than what is shown here, especially in a school or work environment. That said, this is still a comedy and many of the situations were done in a humorous way with a certain dramatic touch. But the actions and emotions of the cast were appropriate for the roles they play.
There are those who will say that it is stupid, that its protagonists repeat themselves in their roles, that the dialogues are not profound, that the performances are exaggerated, that Force keeps repeating his silly expressions while Book maintains his ridiculous expressiveness, that they are too old to walk between university hustle and bustle..., but the truth is that 'Perfect 10 Liners' fits perfectly into a genre that serves as GMMTV's flagship: the cheerful university romance, a successful formula that continues to resonate with audiences in Thailand and beyond its borders.
This is a type of show with stories that are intentionally accessible to all types of audiences, and provides viewers with love stories that are tender and funny alike, and that we can all identify with.
The truth is that it fulfills its original proposal of making the viewer entertain and brighten the day, while mixing established actors with others who have a true school in the established figures and in the series, and this perfect combination between experienced and new, is a determining factor in the general quality, in addition to adding freshness and diversity.
The budget and execution are good: optical locations, cameras, lighting and grading (no one ever talks about grading, and it is an art).
'Perfect 10 Liners' stands out thanks to its main protagonists, who have already won the affection of all of us with their characters in other BLs and will continue to conquer us with all their plots in this series.
Also in its favor are the lyrics of the songs, the main one, "Perfect", performed by the six protagonists, and "Love Suspect", which identifies the first story, and which we will hear in the voices of Force and Book. It is these musical themes that become threads that unite moments, emotions and characters in an artistic fabric that seeks to tell the story of a group of young people who will discover who they are on the way to finding the best version of themselves. Likewise, through the lens of this creator, a world is revealed where the representation of a wide diversity of voices and experiences takes center stage.
The series is entertaining. If all the episodes maintain the tone and rhythm of the first, we are in for a long series, or three in one, but we will have a good time watching it. It's a young people's soap opera, yes, but the characters are fine, they have more or less real problems that any young person from anywhere in the world would face (it's a series, it's not perfect, it's always a little stereotyped), and they approach things with relative intelligence. and good humor.
Finally, at least for now, since I will surely return at another time to update the review, I recommend the series because it is designed for two groups of people: fans of romance and the classic BL format; and the eternal lovers of Force, Book, Junior, Santa, Mark and Perth.

a funny and goofy series

to be honest i don't like the plot like that but this series interested me so much. i love that arc is so confident in his feelings. yeah he teases arm and someone said that it's so rude of arc but i don't think so. arm likes it. he likes it so much. his behaviour proves it.
can't wait to see the way arc and arm' relathionship will change.
the kiss in ep 4 was so gentle. i've seen someone said that it's so weird to kiss before confession but that kiss was in the right moment. it should helps arm to understand his feelings.
i higly recommend to watch this series. it's unserious sometimes but i wanted something like that so much. this dynamic plot,a good acting deserve your attention. this series made me so happy these days.

So fun. Really recommends.

I love romcom kind of BL. So perfect for me. It's funny, cute and heartwarming. Big fan of Force and Book, but I also love the other actors in it. Poon and Marc is sooo cute. I hope things happen a little faster with their characters this time. I can't wait to see more from the other couple too. Perth and Santa looks so cute together too. Recommends.

Chemistry and Comedy at Its Finest: Perfect 10 Liners is a Total Win

This show is a gem! Force and Book have such an electric chemistry that it's impossible to look away, they bring such unique personalities to their roles, and the chemistry between them feels so authentic it’s clear they’re both giving their all, making each interaction memorable. The blend of comedy and emotion here is just right, and Book’s timing with those funny moments his ability to change from being funny to cute seamlessly is impressive

An Entertaining Watch Indeed!

“Perfect 10 Liners”, like “We Are Series”, is a fun buddy romedy comedy series, which centers around a group of friends, who grow together and find love. Despite not having much substance, it is a feel-good romcom that is meant to be a comfort watch, with little to no tension. “Perfect 10 Liners” is your quintessential BL, you know what you’re getting and you’re happy with it, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is. The problem with this, however, is that it can be boring and seem overdone, but at the same time, it is a show that wouldn’t disappoint you with its formulaic storytelling. This is for the slice of life lovers, who just want to watch a good romance and see friends goof around while falling in love with no stakes.

I don’t have anything awful to say nor anything spectacular.

Perfect 10 Liners collects 3 stories which heavily focus on Love, university and engineering. Yep. I've watched so many engineering BL shows at this point that could I get a diploma.

ForceBook
“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.”
Arc: "You entered my heart."
Arm: " You are in my heart too."
Ме: I need more football.

I enjoyed this story way more than I expected. It was funny (the trio Arm-Po-Sand ), sweet (Poon Mitpakdee), uncomplicated and at times a bit mediocre, but I didn't mind. Christmas is coming - gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate. It has some angst, but not much and most of that angst is caused by our characters. It wasn't a very deep storyline and not a whole lot happens, yet I didn't get bored. It just made me feel really happy.

I enjoyed this story and I can't wait to jump into the next one. I hope it will be just as entertaining...

redeemed by the fact that Arc immediately calls Arm and makes fun of him for the picture. (Although, “Your collar is loose”? Really? And it wasn’t even that loose! You should see some of my t-shirts. If I don’t see collarbone, it’s not a loose shirt.) You see, Arc telling Arm that he’s possessive and doesn’t want him getting his picture posted on the page is fine – sort of. Arc telling random admin he doesn’t know the same thing is weird and controlling.

A series that i don't expect that i will love this much. Watch it all day long.

I read the novel first and then waiting for the drama to airing and i tell you IT IS WORTH IT.

At first i don't think that book will portray Arm character well cause, he tall. Arm in the novel shorter than arc, only, maybe 170-ish. I just dont think that book will nail it. But when i watch the first episdoe im glad that he take arm character cause HE CAN NAIL IT. He cute (cuter than novel) not too stupid, and the feeling that he deliver, you can feel it from his eyes (one of my favorite thing, book acting with all of his body, include his eyes. He became one with the character). I'm proud of of him cause before they play this series, they shoot for peaceful property and the character is 360° How can they do that?

Arc here is more realistic than in novel. I love both. Force acting is sooo goodddd i love how he look at arm. Force is literally Arc in real life. Its crazy that he play Gun (30 yo man (? I forget gun age) top, phoom, and arc. you are so talented!

I hope everyone watch it with open minded. Because it is good. As someone who read the novel first, i suggest you to watch it! If you tired of yourlive, need laugh, cute romance, you need watch this.

For other character, they still haven't show much. I cant say anything yet, But i guarantee that they will deliver the story really good cause the cast is the most talented one. Please give it a try!

This is just every other campus BL in existence (but better because it has PerthSanta)

I'll adjust my rating as the show goes on, but for now I'm not invested. I'm entertained, yes, but not engaged. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to like here: some of the humor, Poon, PerthSanta, Poon, how half of the GMM actors are involved in this projects, Poon, some friendship moments, Poon, AouBoom, did I mention Poon? But there are also plenty of things to dislike, and since I'm better at talking about what's bad than what's good, I'll rant my feelings now.

First, let's talk about the friendships. While there are cute moments (such as Arm and Sand both talking to their boyfriends-to-be while Pipo is laying lonely in their middle), the show fails to capture the true love aspect of friendship in the way We Are did. I'm only comparing the two shows because it is glaringly obvious that 10Liners is going for that same vibe, and so far, it's not failing entirely, but it's also nowhere near We Are levels of adorable, loving chaos. The actors have solid chemistry and the characters do have funny banter, but I think the show is trying a little too hard, and it's not landing. It sort of feels forced, like they're trying too hard to recapture something else rather than creating their own thing. While the friend group in We Are gave chaotic, lovable ride-or-die, this is giving your stereotypical BL college friend group, just a little funnier and a little dumber. I'm not getting the love vibes they're clearly aiming for, in part because some of the humor is to the detriment of the whole true friends thing. Take episode 5 for example, when Arm and Sand just leave a fainted Pipo in the middle of the courtyard. Was it funny? Yes. But it also took away from them being good, caring friends. Say about the guys from We Are what you will. They were idiots and they bickered all the time, but they came through for each other. No way in hell would any of them have left one of their gang lying there. They would've grabbed the guy by the arms and legs, and dragged him away. Which would've been equally as funny (maybe even funnier) than what Arm and Sand did, all while showing genuine care. The same thing happened in episode 8, where Sand goes into Pond's car and Arm goes into Arc's car, both driving off with Pipo left behind. I get that Pipo being single is a running-gag, but his two best friends just driving off with their boyfriends and leaving him alone when one of them could've easily taken him with them just seems cruel. You could've made him sit in the backseat and focused on his single ass while the couple in the front is being all lovey-dovey. That would've had the same comedic effect without making Sand and Arm coming across as unkind and inconsiderate. The humor actively takes away from their friendship, so that's something they need to be careful with if they want me to buy the whole friendship thing. The show also suffers from having way too many side characters, all of which have little to no personality, so it's hard to get attached to anyone who isn't in the main cast.

Now for the ships...

ArcArm:
My main issue is the same problem I have with every ForceBook show: their lack of chemistry. Look, I love the two of them together behind the scenes as much as the next guy, but I really do not like them as a romantic pairing on screen. Their kisses look good in terms of mechanics, but there's no feeling. They have zero romantic sparks between them, and their acting leaves a lot to be desired. Especially on Force's end. I don't know why, but he has zero charisma in any role he's played, Arc included, which is surprising considering Force has a lot of charm in real life. Somehow, though, none of that translates onto the screen and the characters he's portraying. It's a shame because Arc especially would benefit from some damn charisma. His character is not exactly likeable with his hot temper and his 'I'll push you around until you love me' approach to flirting. If Arc had some charm, it wouldn't be so hard to watch him drag Arm around. Not that him having more charisma would make his behaviour okay. A guy you've known for about a week pulling you down on the bed against your will while he's half naked is not okay, no matter how much charm there is and how good he looks. But a bit of rizz and more chemistry would go a long way and would certainly help in making me not want to scream whenever he manhandles Arm. Sadly, though, Arc has the rizz of a piece of cardboard and the chemistry is as sparkly as a dead firefly, so I just feel sorry for Arm for having to spend all his time with this piece of work. Arc is also a little too controlling for my comfort, and jealous to a toxic degree which is one of my personal pet peeves. As for their story... Well, it's yet another uninspiring love story following all the BL clichés and adding nothing new to the table. If you've seen any other campus BL, you've basically seen this. Dressing wounds, falling on top of each other, playing in the ocean, buckling seatbelts, and so on... It's all there. Arc is the I-Will-Harass-You-Into-Loving-Me stereotype, so you could pretty much exchange him for Fighter from Why R U or Johan from Fourever You which is currently airing. Arm is also just an empty shell of your ditsy, dumb BL bottom who is the last to realize he's being flirted with. And of course a failed relationship has given him a fear of love, because everything else wasn't cliché enough. Then again, usually it's the tops who fear love, so I guess there's at least a little twist.

YothaGun:
At first, I thought I was going to hate Gun because he seemed like the 'toddler in a grown man's body' stereotype which I despise. Luckily, though, he's not quite as immature as he seemed in the first episode centred around him, but he still feels a little too childish for my liking. He doesn't get much of a personality besides being the bubbly good guy but since I adore Santa, it's still fun to watch him. Perth is fantastic as Yotha, but that's not a surprise. Sadly he doesn't get to be much other than a walking BL cliché. PerthSanta's chemistry is fantastic and the two of them have me in a chokehold. I cannot really comment objectively on their story because they could portray the worst characters in the worst story ever written, and I'd probably still enjoy it just because they're in it together. That being said, I do realize that their story is nothing unique at all. It feels very samey to the bad-guy-turned-good-guy trope in so many other campus BLs. Comparing characters to a dog was cute at first, but now it's being used in every other show, and while I do like how Yotha first pronounced Beagle wrong, now the constant comparisons are getting old. In terms of how fast their relationship progresses, Yotha opening up as quickly as he does makes little sense for his character. I understand they're limited by only having a few episodes to themselves and them being roommates could definitely quicken the process, but Yotha's walls sure crumbled fast. All in all, the two of them kind of just feel like a slightly different shade of Arc and Arm. Still, I'm having a wonderful time watching them and they have me kicking my feet and squealing every Sunday. I do enjoy the air of awkwardness. It's the right kind of shyness/awkwardness, not the kind that gives you secondhand-embarrassment, luckily. Their story also regularly has me angry at how other people feel like it's appropriate to tell Gun things about Yotha that aren't for them to tell. Faifa and Newton are both guilty of oversharing about their brother's personal stuff and I find that disgusting. If my brother told my relatively new friend that I had trauma surrounding love, I'd definitely not talk to that guy for at least a month. Also, I have questions regarding Yotha and his ex, Warit. How old is Warit supposed to be? Because they talked about him being "much" older than Yotha, who is a college freshman. I assume Warit is at least three or four years older, so they must've dated while Yotha was still in high school, right? That's pretty icky...

All in all, this is pretty much what I expected it would be so far and if it weren't for PerthSanta, Poon and AouBoom, I probably would've lost interest very quickly.
