Brewing frustration

This is such a poorly written show. It's hard to believe that, with an experience cast and crew, the show producers and writers made made such a mess in setting the show narrative tone.

The main storylines are incoherent and intertwined with some off the most basic humor that i saw this year. The suport characters are completely hollow. They just shout and make weird faces. One or two ahjummas are also on Virtuous Business and they were good in this show, because the writers and director created scenes that show their humanity and personality. They are not just screaming cardboard cutouts. 

There's also the feeling that something feels off with the main characters due to the erratic story progression but mainly because on some scenes the actors don't have anything to hang on. Sejeong in the "action scenes" does not seem to be in character but just performing some stunt like in some variety show showing her physical prowess. It's a shame to see actors wasting their talent with such shallow roles.

Brewing Love is a heartwarming drama that balances humor, emotion, and valuable life lessons. While the female lead's acting initially felt over-the-top, her quirks quickly became endearing, and the chemistry between the main leads was sweet and satisfying. The second leads, however, stole the show with their adorable and impactful story, easily making them one of the cutest second-lead couples in recent memory. The supporting cast is top-notch, each character adding depth and warmth to the narrative. The grandmother’s death was a particularly emotional moment, leaving a lasting impact and reminding us of the importance of family. Overall, this feel-good drama is a perfect mix of laughter, tears, and inspiration, making it a must-watch for anyone who loves meaningful storytelling.

Brewing love

I love Kim Sejeong - she is amazing singer (we got new OST song!!!) and actress - so of course I had to watch this. Her character is cute and badass, for many people mix of Do Hana and Shin Hari, maybe at the beginning, before we got to know her more. Chemistry as always is great. Lee Jong Won - it is first drama where I see him and he was really good. Baek Sung Chul - I know him from Once upon a small town (he safed it for me) - after shooting scene I believe that he would play perfectly some criminal or psycho and I need it to happen. Shin Do Hyun - I know her from Doom at your service, I also like her character here and chemistry with BSC was great.
I think that many people believed that it would be more similar to Business Proposal - it is also cute and light, but it is more like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, we have cringe, cuteness overload but also some dark (BSC's past and trauma) and sad moments (grandma - eventhough I expected that).
Main point of this drama - outside of making beer - was to show how people hide behind masks, pretend to be happy when they actually want to cry and that they do not have to.
Personally I really like this and I think it is worth giving a chance.

Beer n Healing...

This is a story about a bunch of very different people brought together and brought down by the less fun sides of society... or something like that a show of opposites attract and united by barely and maybe wheat toasts.

The female lead is cool and fun to watch most of the time, she has a bunch of diffent sides to her : sweet, tough, hard working understanding, kind... But lets face it she is there to show a different way to be a woman

The male lead is soft n cold, sweet n fragile... and tries to show us the dangers of gender conventions and toxic masculinity.

The second couple is there to show family and flaws, playfullness and tthe dangers of fragile felinity.

And the third and fourth mains seem to balance between hetero and non hetero vibes without reaching the gay the whole way...

The amount of annoying elements, characters and slapstick contrast moments are a bit overwhelming at times but htey are not as bad as the preachy educational tone the drama gets from time to time reminding to stay away from any title that has the word healing amoung its tags. Seriously what was I thinking...

That said there is enough good in this and I did love enough of the characters to give it a 7,5 but if you too are allergic to healy preachy and annoying village people you should probably run away...

The Ultimate Beer Comercial!

This Kdrama is like your favorite beer! You know why you love it, ergo you know what you're gonna get, and in that, so you won't be disappointed!

It's not extraordinary or special, but it was a fun! It's not a surprise that Kim Sejeong carried the whole show, but the side-characters were good, too!

My biggest problem is that we only get 12 episodes, and we had too many storylines, like the one with the soldier boy. That could've been so much better, and honestly, it deserves its own show, but we only got like 1 episode worth of story overall, and they moved on from it pretty fast.

Not to mention the plot with our main guy and the life-saving incident. They didn't do anything with it. I'm not talking about the obvious and typical Kdrama trope, I'm talking about the reason he had to be saved. They completely ignored that!

The usual stuff, like the romance and the main plot is predictable, but if you expect something else, this isn't for you. If you watched one show like this, you know them all, but that doesn't mean you're not gonna enjoy it.

Overall, it was fun, but nothing more!

One of my favourite!

I really enjoy watching Brewing Love. The chemistry between the FL and ML is outstanding! Both character does complement each other in their own ways.

I fell in love with Kim Se Jeong in this drama. Bro, her acting and her face expression is super funny! A super strong will character but fell on her knees when things went south.

The vibe in this drama also not too heavy. I can feel the warmth and slice of life (a bit) kind of vibe - which I really love! Eventho there is a slice of life kinda vibe, the pace of Brewing Love is not slow at all. I can say Brewing Love is like a healing drama for me as u can just watch, relax and enjoy the drama.

Looking from the outside in...there really wasn't anything special about this drama. But then you step into it. Predictable, yes. A little cliche, also yes. But for me, there was a magic to it.

Yes, Brewing Love is a romance, but I think it also portrays a bigger story. A story that says it's all right for others to see your pain, it's not a sign of weakness it's a sign of being alive. A story that says you don't have to keep it all to yourself. You don't have to go through it alone. You don't have to fix everything. You don't have to be perfect.

This drama had a feeling of nostalgia...almost like coming home after being away for a long time. It was refreshing and sweet😊

crying boss

When he’s boss was crying about their branch closing , I had to skip a bit because why does he cry like that 😭I couldn’t take him serious.I’m really enjoying it so far they’re so cute , really cute . I love how the male lead isn’t like your usual tough guy act male he’s so adorable and goofy.
I don’t know why I thought in the beginning they’d show her going to the doctor for the injury she got from episode 1 . The FL is so hard working and she really does our everyone above herself it does make me sad 🥲.


I’m rooting for Areum and Chan Hwi too they’re cute .

Simple plot but with well-written characters that drive the story further.

When I first read the synopsis, it felt so simple that it didn't feel like a drama that I would watch and look out for if it wasn't for Sejeong being casted as FL. And true enough, the plot was as simple as it gets, that after the first 2 episodes I wondered how they're going to stretch this into 12 episodes. But looking back, honestly, isn't it closer to real life than other dramas do? Most of us lead same, simple lives, that the only difference we have is the people surrounding us and how they're bringing color and dimension. This is the same with the characters, they live normally but each have their own story to tell.

Story (9/10)
I love love the depiction of the characters and how their stories unfold, especially Yongju. I'm not sure if it's just me relating to her, but I felt the strongest conviction for her character development. It made this drama from "something that I watch just for Sejeong" to a drama "must watch for characters like Yongju".

Regardless of the characters, I still feel like the drama could use more strengthening in terms of plot development. Because of its simple plot, there were times when I felt like they were just dragging conflict/issues to make it progress. After the characters' development, the excitement sort of just slowly dissipated.

Acting (9/10)
While I love the character Chae Yongju, I have to admit that this is not Sejeong's strongest portrayal. Based on character description, there were a lot of parts about Yongju that overlapped with Sejeong, that sometimes I feel like I'm just watching Sejeong. Her actions, aegyo and mannerisms just scream like her so I kind of found it hard to separate them. I don't want to compare but her portrayal of Shin Hari was so well-done if felt like she was a whole new person on her own. But she definitely improved on the emotional scenes that half of me wishes we'd get more sad and emotional Yongju because she portrays that amazingly.

It's the first time I'm watching Lee Jongwon, but I'm amazed at how well he does. His expressive eyes are definitely something to treasure for. I'll admit I was initially skeptical about his acting the first 2 episodes, but he just transformed after that.
