our very own paradise, pluto
when the mock trailer dropped i literally screamed cause the last thing i expected was film to be in a gl. after that i got to know abt the novel this show is based on and prepared myself for a toxic mess but the show and the team surprised me a lot.a lot of the story is changed, like the team took the prompt from the novel and wrote the rest on their own. and i think that was a great decision.
aioon and may are very morally grey characters who are humanized and made very vulnerable. they don't condemn their actions nor glorify them just two people falling in love in very unique (?) situation.
i loved the pacing, the first half showing us how ai and may fall for each other and the other half addressing the elephant(s) in the room.
this was a romance which satisfied me. we see both of them learning about each other, sharing their insecurities and deepest pains and finding comfort in each other instead of rushing.
i feel like they handled may's blindness and everything related well along with oom as a part of this. i really sympathize with oom and also see her pov. they wrapped up everything nicely. from the accident, oom's ptsd, grandma's love etc
the one thing that irritated me the most was the 'first love' thing which eventually becomes the reason why oom breaks up with may. that was so dumb to me. its not even first love, its a first crush if we are pushing it. i get that oom is deeply insecure but come on, at least u could have shown may reassuring her. and the way may kind of accepts the fact that she always wanted ai??? like did may and oom dating did not mean anything???? they could have made a more solid reasoning for their breakup. also i did not like that instead of being at least 5% mad at may for being one of the reason her so called best friend(given that i thought he died cause we never see him until way later on) is disabled and a orphan, ai overlooks it. that could have added a bit more depth to may's arc
to finish off the complaints, i think the editing was off and the faults were very noticeable in certain episodes, mostly in scenes where we cut from one location to a new one. the cinematography also didn't feel right in certain places. also was not no budget to make a intro/opening sequence, cause wtf was that? we have such beautiful actress, scenes and osts and u have video sequence with so much slideshow animation.....this show deserved a better one
the jaw dropping part of this series is namtan and film. their acting and chemistry??? off the charts. especially namtan, she played both oom and aioon so well u could totally tell them apart even. i been a fan of film but this was literally her best work. no words left for the chemistry.
the osts are so good too, they lyrics match with the theme so well.
pim, pang and jan were fun to watch even though they didn't add much. kapook my girl i will get u a gl where u end up happy (kapook gl with pipoly, cize and jan as her love interest for 2026 pls gmmtv)
overall a very good series, will definitely rewatch it

Truly the best Thai gl to date
This series snuck up on me, I started it without any expectations and fell in love with the characters and the storyline. The story is very engaging, sometimes wild as well, but I think what keeps this series on the rails are two main actresses with their performances, you can feel their every emotion and their chemistry just warmed my cold, dead heart. This is probably why this GL feels so different to any other, because a lot of them makes you cringe and acting feels like a school play at best. That's why casting is so important.

Amazing intricate show with solid acting
Pluto is the best show out of Thailand I've ever seen. Every episode was better than the one before. Predominantly for the main couple and the happenings around them. The side couple(s) were lackluster. I'll forever be in love with the show though. Too bad it wobbled and didn't stick the landing in the perfect way all previous episodes delivered. Still a solid finale. Only the second Thai gl getting a 10/10 from me. don't know how often I've rewatched it already. It teaches you about how a kind person can still be someone's villain, how short sighted reactions are bad for long term plans, how planning your happiness needs to involve others. It also emptied my wallet because the merch is great.
The product placement and the MV in the middle of an ep were hilarious.

Angst with love in it^^
When the announcement comes out, i really excited to waiting this series airing because the pilot/trailer is promising. And now it's already ended and damn i really love this series. It's soo good, the actresses that played the characters are soo great to picture the characters. I really like every detail and soo flaw. When watching this, i'm so happy, sad, mad, crazy and all emotions became one. I can't really describe it but geez, it's soo good. Anyway it's my second GL after 23.5 and i'm not disappointed. But from all of flaw and good actresses when acting, there's something that i kinda don't like it, like episode 12 is really fast like it's sooo faster so i can't have much any feeling when watch because that hella fast (not like previous episode). And about the car when it crash too, it make me laugh even it's sad scene, lol. But even like that, i still enjoying it, it's soo good.
Lastly, i wanna appreciate about everything that evolved, like writing, production, supporting, and everyone, i really appreciated and it's good drama. Not perfect but i enjoying.... And song too, i like the Ost, it's soo nice in my ears. Just love it^^
That's it. 9,5/10 from me^^

Setting A New Standard
Pluto is truly setting a new and higher standard for GL series. Whether it comes to acting, storytelling, or cinematography. I want to applaud snap25, namtanfilm, and the rest of the cast and people involved with masterpiece.I understand why the snap25 staff continuously repeated that Pluto wouldn't be Pluto without Namtan and Film. They are truly in their own league when it comes to acting and if anyone else played these characters, the story wouldn't be as hard-hitting. I love giving opportunities to new people but in some cases experience is needed and you can truly see the difference. Namtan is truly one of the best actresses I've seen (not just in gl), she played Oom so differently than Oon that you could tell me they were played by different people and I would believe you. Film has just gotten better and better throughout her career and I think being paired with Namtan and working on Pluto pushed her to be the best version of herself because she was an absolute star in Pluto.
Pluto also wouldn't be Pluto without snap25. The changes in the script were great and gave depth to a novel that I personally didn't enjoy. In the novel, Oon felt like a character only driven by lust while May wasn't a full-fledged character and didn't have much reasoning behind her horrible actions. I also loved that they took out the problematic element of May faking her blindness the whole entire time and instead used their time to educate people on the lives of people with disabilities.
There were many stand-out scenes that showed the excellent storytelling in Pluto but one that stood out to me a lot was the hospital scene between Oom and May. We originally saw May's point of view where May couldn't see Oom breaking down, so we grew a negative opinion of her. But after a couple of episode's we saw Oom's point of view and how hard it was for her to let may go/put on a cold front. Seeing the side by side of this scene was absolutely amazing.
I think I could go on and on about everything that I loved about this series, namtanfilm, and oonmay's love story but I would be here for hours. As always I will have my complaints and that is mainly the finale, which was the only reason I gave the series a 9.5 and not a 10. Most finales feel rushed and this one wasn't an exception. Compared to some other finales it is good but in the context of this series it doesn't live up to the amazing 11 episode run imo. My main issue was giving May's dad a random out of character redemption arc. I think these series believe that everyone has to have a happy ending for it to be a "true happy ending," but I don't need to see an abusive homophobic father randomly act nice especially because it didn't have any impact on May/May would have still been happy without him in her life.
Anyways, all in all this is one of my favorite series ever and I can't wait to see more namtanfilm projects in the future (girl rules pls hurry).

This is a very solid GL, but...
The show, on the whole, was very good. It is definitely in my top ten of 2024 list. The two leads (Namtam and Film) had really good chemistry and their acting was shown throughout. Namtam (the actress who played the twin sisters, Oom and Ai) should win many awards for her portrayal of twins. There were many times that I caught myself marveling at just how different the twins' personalities and mannerisms were right down to the way each twin talked. I was very impressed because from seeing other portrayals of twins by the same actor, many couldn't pull it off as wonderfully as Namtam did. Kudos to you Namtam. Film did a good job as the mysterious yet easily lovable May. I loved her duality as a hardened kickass lawyer and loveable, almost puppy-like lover. I would find it very hard not to fall for someone like May. Khapook (the actress who played Police Captain Phimphakorn Decha-anek "Pim") should get a lead in her own GL series. The story was very good complete with twists and turns that I imagine non-readers of the novel didn't see coming. There were a few twists that I, as a book reader, didn't see coming. Ai having to navigate pretending to be her sister, while realizing that she's falling in love with May, her sister's ex-girlfriend. May knows that Ai isn't Oom, but wants to get to know Ai better, because she's May's first love. All the obstacles and ancillary drama of a friend's accident and May's reasons for being blind, all lent themselves to the complexity of the tale. Also, the side story of the budding romance between Jan, Pim...and Pang. For a second there, I thought viewers were going to get their first GL throuple in a series. It would have been something different.
The entire cast played their roles well, and though the production, editing, and music, on the whole, were good, my only issue with the series is their portrayal of Oom. I am all for character redemption when it is earned. Yet, the way the adapting writers tried to rewrite Oom as an ultimately redeemable and sympathetic character, though it may have been a better choice for the TV series, left a bad taste in my mouth as a book reader. It seemed like they wanted every character to be some shade of gray, but I felt that Oom should have no redemption. Even in the TV series, Oom mentioned that she broke up Ai and May to make herself feel better, so why would you try to redeem a character like this? In the novel, she was ultimately the reason why Paul died (with a bit of an assist from May), she tried to kill May, and she only broke up Ai and May so that May would suffer. Oom didn't care about her twin sister's feelings at all. Also, Oom knew about all the sacrifices that Ai made to make Oom's life better throughout their lives, and she still treated her sister like garbage (as it was portrayed in the TV series). That type of character shouldn't be redeemed. That type of character should be made to sit in their crapulence to accept the consequences of their actions. Though everything worked out for the best, Oom's redemption will always be a sore spot in what was ultimately a great watching experience.
I'd definitely recommend this GL series to anyone who likes a good story in their GL.

Everything in this series is absolutely the best
I have watched several GL series from Thailand, and I think that among all of them, the series Pluto stands out as exceptional in every aspect. Starting with the storyline, the cinematography, and most importantly, the execution by the lead actors is incredibly well done. I absolutely love Namtan and Film's performances; their acting is outstanding. I could genuinely feel the emotions of the characters they portrayed. They are truly amazing. I hope this pair, Namtan and Film, gets more opportunities in other series. I’ll be looking forward to it!Cet avis était-il utile?
A true masterpiece
Pluto offers one of the greatest storylines ever created, with breathtaking cinematography, incredibly complex characters and relationships. It also tackles numerous social issues with depth and nuance. The production and acting are absolutely top-tier!This GL is a true masterpiece that everyone should watch. Just trust me on this one.

LIVE LAUGH LOVE NAMTANFILM
One of my favorite gls right now, I could really say that my expectations were surpassed when I started this series. It was so worth it waiting for saturdays to come to watch a new episode. I'm always fascinated by how well film (may) and namtan (ai-oon/oom) embodied each of their own characters. The plot is also interesting and fun. Moreover, I love the pimpangjan love triangle so much (I'm rooting for pangjan). I love the cast and namtanfilm's chemistry so I'm sooo excited for their projects in the future.Cet avis était-il utile?

Is it really from gmmtv!?
After being disappointed with 23.5 I was considering pluto as as my last straw and THANK GOD it didn't disappoint me A SINGLE BIT! (Except side couples).Tbh both namtanfilm had challenging roles here. Film definitely portrayed the character phenomenally. And namtan, the woman you are. It was SUPER CHALLENGING play twins with different characteristics, different dressing styles and different mannerisms. And are we gonna forget about how well she performed same scene delivering same dialogue with different emotions. I love the fact that snap25 gave this series and characters much more depth compared to the novel. The second lead love triangle could've been explored more as it had potential. Anygays amazing acting, chemistry, storyline and cinematography. Was it necessary to give the dad redemption!? Last episode wasn't that good tbh.
Long live namtanfilm, aioonmay, primbambi and many more to come 🤲🏻💖

Disappointing
The main plot is very interesting and the intertwining plots create a very good suspense. But there comes a point where the writers get lost in what they will or will not develop and the series loses its shine until it culminates in a terrible ending. Some conclusions are confusing and some characters are disrespectedCet avis était-il utile?
I feel like watching Lost again
It begun bringing joy and love for the fans of thai GLs but endup delivering just frustration and sadness. It was like watching Lost again and see an amazing plot losing itself in the way. Frustrating. Thank God Ploy and Ton found their happiness before the end cause not even AioonMay finale was satisfing.Cet avis était-il utile?
