THE TRAINEE BL
I loved this show. Easily a 9/10.
Everything about this show felt fresh and creative. From the sets to the characters, to the editing. Fitting for a show set in the world of production.Like other's have said, this wasn't a BL-- and if I was to rate it solely on that it would be lacking-- but I don't rate shows that way. A good show, should be a good show all around, no matter what genre it is. Do I wish there was more JaneRyan? OF COURSE.
These two characters are some of OffGun's best. Gun, like always, became Ryan. His micro expressions are always so captivating to me. He's so interesting to watch. Jane is my favorite character that I've seen Off do. He is just such an attractive character, and so nice to look at. I would have watched a show solely based on those two, and would have been beyond happy.
But-- despite JaneRyan being the heart of this show-- this show was in reality the story of 5 trainee's (and their mentor Jane) and their journey from inexperienced bumbling kids, to adults who found their path in life.
Although there are parts of this show that felt annoying to watch (Yes, I'm talking about the trio), the story lines usually felt relatable and the conclusions satisfying or at the very least understandable. All the actors in this show did a great job because they had me reacting appropriately 24.7. I felt annoyed, angry, happy, empathetic, and all the emotions possible.
This is going to sound weird but-- It was a pleasure watching these kids grow up.

- Baimon e Jo: i miei phi preferiti. Non sempre di molte parole, ma attentissimi osservatori.

OffGun show promised but Drama (Non BL) show delivered
Okay here is the thing. This is my first Review for a new Series . I really liked the series since I have watched many old Series of OffGun. These two can slay any role they given. but was it a BL? the answer is between no and maybe. This is not a typical Thai BL which I am glad. The address various topics of entertainment industry, youth confusions regarding careers and sexuality, Second chances in life. All actors were really greatWhat I not liked-
1. A silly person who doesn't know how to turn off the phone?
2. Too many added subplots which could have been cut
3. very little OffGun moments

Relatable, but room for improvement.
'The Trainee' takes place in an office setting with an ensemble cast featuring BL elements, meaning that it's not quite BL, and the BL romance is turned down, which was fine by me. Every character is seen and heard - some a little too much - although the series is supposed to focus on its main protagonist, Ryan. There are two mentors, Jane and Judy - this brings back memories of 'The Jetsons'. If you know, you know - and throughout the series, their actions parallel their behavior when it comes to their trainee. Judy is like the walking manual for 'How Not to Pursue a Workplace Relationship' whilst Jane is the opposite... until the last episode!
The acting from everyone was top-notch, the OST is chef's kiss, and the setting is cinematically beautiful. What failed in the end was the writing. I believe the writing could've been stronger in many areas. Overall, I like the series, and despite its many flaws that I wish I could fix, it's the best series I've seen this year from GMMTV production-wise. I've watched every episode more than three times and it could've easily been a solid 10, but I had to take away two points for the lackluster writing at times and the useless triangle that went nowhere.
Watch if:
^ You like/love the cast
^ You like/love OffGun
^ You like an office setting
^ You're interested in what Off's hot boss era looks like
^ You don't care for the BL or the commercialized GL
^ You're a trainee or a mentor
^ You're into filmmaking
^ You just want to try something new.

This series is somewhat insightful and informative
I feel like there's so much information and cool insights about the media industry especially what happens behind the scenes of a production, which is something I really like about this series.I'll never doubt OffGun's chemistry but one thing I'm really confused about is how Gun's character, Ryan, feels very "stone" like? if you get what I mean and Ryan's reactions are very slow or maybe that's just how the character is supposed to be portrayed?

What do we have here? Oh, that’s right, MY PARENTS’ SERIES. ?
I swear, OffGun could breathe, and I’d be out here screaming, “YASSSS, SLAY, SERVE, DELIVER.” They are *everything*, okay? If you’ve been riding with them since their first series, you KNOW they never miss. People were whining about *Cooking Crush* (I still don’t understand why, btw), and now some of y’all have beef with this series because it’s “coming of age” and not *fully BL*? Excuse me, WHATCHU MEAN? They kissed! In my book, that’s BL enough. Stop complaining and enjoy greatness. Now, let’s talk about Ryan. OH, GUN, YOU LITTLE KING OF COMEDY. He *eats* these roles up and leaves no crumbs. Ryan is such a relatable mess—clueless, chaotic, slow as a dial-up modem. Honestly, he’s giving “me during my intern phase,” and I’m not even mad about it. His energy is a big mood.
And Khun Po? Off ATE. He’s the grumpy mentor we all love to hate because, deep down, we know he’s just trying to make you better while simultaneously making you cry in the bathroom. The dynamic between Ryan and Jane was *chef’s kiss*—progression, tension, and those “OH MY GOD, THEY’RE GONNA GET CAUGHT” moments that had me gripping my pillow. The comedy? Hilarious. The suspense? So good. My only beef is that they focused so much on the work drama that the romance was like, “Hello? Still here?” But the ending? CUTE. Just wish we had more ~swoony~ moments.
Now, let’s talk about the SIDE PAIRING. SEA. BEING. STRAIGHT. *Nightmare fuel.* Why, WHY did they have to put Tae back with Bahmee? Like, Bahmee is cute and all, but y’all could’ve had her end up with Judy and then hit us with a Jimmy cameo at the end to hint he likes Tae. The potential for DRAMA, HELLO??? But noooo, y’all just HAD to take the boring route. Tragic.
And Poon? THAT MAN IS CHAOS INCARNATE. Every time he showed up, I couldn’t stop laughing. He’s the *perfect* goofy relief. But listen, if you haven’t seen him in *Terror Tuesday*, you’re missing out because that man can ACT. From comedy king to horror legend, he does it all. We stan versatility.
Overall? The plot was good—just a few tweaks here and there that could’ve elevated it to iconic status. But listen, I’m *biased*, and I’m not even sorry about it. OffGun are my faves, and they’ll stay my faves. You can keep your opinions; I’m out here thriving. Bye. ?

Patience is Important
First 9 episodes was really good.. I loved it. but i was very disappoint in ep 10. it's not like it wasn't good. If they could make the ex do something that make ryan jealous or jane jealous. it would have been more better. still i liked the storyline as it wasn't adapted from novel or something and the concept itself was a bit unique.. For me good series isn't where there has to be intimate scenes, for me it is something where we become one with the characters or something like the last episode i guess..I am not saying the acting wasn't good as we think becoming one with characters means the acting is good. it is true but sorry i don't know how to explain that.. Let's just say this project of OFFGUN is so much better than their previous project!! In another word, except ep 10 i liked all episodes.. And this series only has one OST and it is so catchy. i liked it.. I think everyone is going to complain about two thing which are Jane and Ryan didn't had Boyfriend Era and Ba-mee and Tae's storyline..
The acting of all the actors are as i expected.. Very Good.. I like the character of Poon, I really liked it. It was similar yet different from his previous/we are series character...
OVERALL, I LIKED IT!!! Won't say must watch series but it is fun to watch..

Should watch
"I absolutely love how beautifully this series ended. As a huge fan of OffGun, their chemistry is so effortless and smooth—they're truly made for each other. Not just the main leads, but the supporting cast also did an outstanding job. Every character draws you in, and the way the story progresses and concludes is both beautiful and seamless. This series will make you fall in love with each moment!"Cet avis était-il utile?

Relatable, comedic, potentially heartwarming
This is such a fun AND funny show! Usually, comedy is such a hit-or-miss but the way the humor is weaved in the narrative is diverse so I feel like atleast a few jokes should land for almost everyone! I have alot of laugh out loud moments, thanks for Gun’s brand of comedy for Ryan’s character. Plus the sound effects are so cleverly used to enhance the funny moments. The characters also feel lively and the setting lends to some really unique and dynamic scenes. Off and Gun are wonderful and I’m really digging their assigned characters here. Won’t say much on the plot as of yet but the character arcs are set in a way that promise some satisfactory growth for the two main leads! Love to see the duality Ryan possesses – so competent at home but still stumbling (but slowly but surely finding his footing) at the internship. Can’t wait to see how their arcs unfold and how their love blossoms! It will particularly interesting to see the uber competent Jane letting down his walls and falling for Ryan but we all know who's developing the crush first, lol. xPCet avis était-il utile?

This show is one of the best BL this year!
Sincerely talking this show have 3 episodes out till now and considering that it's just getting better and better like the graphics are eyes satisfying the music is on point in every scene even the opening is good the story is so relatable and help you to overcome your stressed if you're an intern right now(like me)every characters are well portrayed and none are leaved aside OffGun's chemistry is so amazing like just their eyes meeting make you feel the tension and butterflies in your stomach?Okay now in the series so far Jane at first seems to be a bad and fierce mentor who don't care about his interns but with the episodes going on you can see that he's actually a good mentor who's tense and stressed because of work since he do the whole job in that company he's understanding and even defend his interns well?it's my favorite character so far
Talking about Ryan he kinda lack some common knowledge since he just entered to work in a field he never study before but with the ep going on you can see that he's starting to be useful at work helping his mentor comforting his colleague being more open and more talkative with people in the company?you see him growing at a job he didn't wanted at first which make him so relatable because not everyone have the opportunity to work at the workplace he wanted
Now JaneRyan relationship and chemistry grow slowly in every episodes as they're getting closer to each other through the struggles and problems happening at work
For the others characters we can see Pie a girl dreaming to become a director she struggles at work for wanting to prove herself too much and will probably start to open more to her colleague(maybe in the upcoming ep) Bahmee is a girl who doesn't have any goal in life but just work there to be close to her boyfriend which will kinda become hard for her in the future(let's see what happen) Pah is quite a funny and mysterious man in that series don't really know much about him for now and Tae is bahmee boyfriend who look like a smart boy but is always disturb at work by her(let's see what happen between them)
Overall till now the serie is really educational and the characters are well develop even the story is interesting and let you feel lot of adrenaline while watching?i recommended it for everyone who want to watch a series focus on real life experience and enjoy others country series because this one with the music and graphics don't give a thailand drama vibe but more like an American Turkish or even Indian ones

Love In Training
Ahh, OffGun, my cuties. Finally we see them outside of a college romance. But, at what cost? As much as I love OffGun, and was extremely excited for this, it kind of just disappointed me. My hopes weren't too high, as Cooking Crush wasn't my favorite, but I still had standards.STORY: Ryan, a guy who comes along with his friend to an internship, ends up getting that internship. His mentor, Jane, seems like a cold and strict guy, but deep down, he's a sweetheart. As Ryan and Jane get closer through their work, ryan soon realizes that this isn't just admiration.
I have a lot to say, but not the words to say it. In short, Ryan and Jane were really cute, not much bad to say about them, but what got me was the side couple.
Bahmee and Tae. I love them both, genuinely. At the end when Tae proposes to Bahmee I was screaming and crying, as they began to grow on me. What tripped me up was the Judy and Bahmee thing. I'm glad they didn't work out, as I just didn't feel the chemistry. Tae was heart broken, which made me sad, but I don't understand why he didn't hear her out. I have been cheated on before so I know the feeling, but if it was obvious she had been drinking, I'd be a little more understanding. Being cheated on, especially on your anniversary, is a big deal, but I would have heard her out. (this is not meant to be offensive, sorry if it is)
Other than the cheating thing, everything was great. I loved the characters, especially Pah and Jo. As always, I just feel like Off and Gun deserve more mature roles since they did great with Not Me.
Would I rewatched this? Probably not. Was it cute? Yes. I'll miss my OffGun and was extremely excited when this started to air on my birthday.
Until Next Time ?
