I'll Debut Somehow
Lee Ma Ha is an idol trainee who was going to debut with Omega 3 but a former trainee of Omega 3 was found dead on their debut day and so Omega 3 disbanded. Kwon Ryok is a member of Shax, a renowned team. On the comeback day of Shax Eun Jo, their former member goes missing and there's no news of him since. The actors are really good, but the tone is all over the place and I can't figure out what genre this show is trying to be: it's given me the hooks for a paranormal show, a detective show, a romance, and a girl-works-to-stardom show. Maybe we'll get all of them?Unfortunately, the editing is very bad. There are so very many short little cuts that don't need to be there that it's hard to track who's where doing what, and especially hard to understand how the flow of time is proceeding. At first I thought that was deliberate, back when I thought it was going to be a paranormal mystery show, but now I think it's just bad. As I kept watching I got more and more confused, so I looked up the summary on Viki (where I'm watching) and as far as I can tell the summary starts _after_ the first episode—none of the events of the first episode are mentioned. Do they not matter? Is this whole first episode going to be forgotten? It's only 12 episodes, so that seems like an odd choice.But, despite that lackluster review, I'm hooked and I want to watch more.

I have so many emotions right now I feel like my head might pop off. Well for starters, I love this show. Already. I love this show..... probably because I'm biased as hell over my Ateez bebes. They can sing, dance, paint, draw, cook, ACT. Is there nothing they can't do!?Okay I digress. I've been waiting for this show since I first caught wind of it.... which feels like years ago. Lol But honestly, with so many shows coming out, I forgot about this lately because I don't remember them ever putting a actual date. All in all, I don't know what led me to the show but fml I'm glad it was like "HEY! That show you wanted to see is here now!" lolI love the acting. I think everyone played their characters perfectly. I know a lot of people have issues with hair and costume but ... that's kinda to be expected since they're going through "trainee" days. I'm amazed she has a hairstyle AT ALL, honestly. The whole time I watched this episode, my heart was racing. I can NOT believe they portrayed trainee life so accurately. I know it's only scratching the surface but this is really what trainees go through. Tough managers, shady companies, roaches, cold showers, hell--BARELY any food or breathing room. The room the girl got to sleep in is what usually a group of 5 sleep in all together while making a pack of crackers try to last a week. (I wish I was kidding; I'm not)Again, I digress, sorry. -- now about what happened to that one girl, I knew it was coming. I thought I would be mad because I thought "surely they won't try to get views by using that painful experience" ...... they did, but not in the way I thought. I was ready to be mad but actually I'm impressed because ...........that's what happens. It's the raw truth and it blew my mind they put it out there when everyone wants to be so hush-hush about it.I feel like this show will catch a lot of backlash but I hope they hold strong, because so far, this could really open people's eyes in what goes on in the life of a trainee/idol.

This drama really surprised me! The plot is amazing, and it sticks to the reality of what trainees and idols have to endure in their daily life. How hard it is to do that job. We can see the bright side and the dark side of the kpop industry, how they are sometimes dehumanised. They talk about serious topic but it’s still very funny ! I love the character of Hyuk. I heard that it's the first drama for some actors, they did really well !!! I recommend this drama

It’s only the first episode, but I’m truly immersed into story line. Even though usually I’m not into this genre of dramas, I liked this one so far. The real struggle of being an idol uncovers, every fan should watch this drama. I almost cried because the characters convey the feelings really well.

It revolves around the life of a kpop idol that persued their dreams, and it suit the taste of kpop fans like me.

I love how they showed the raw emotions and the hardships of becoming an idol. I need more dramas like this that don't sugarcoat reality.

A little confusing for a moment but it was quickly solved through the storytelling of the episode, the acting was really fun and it was a good first episode and set up for what's to come! My favourite character so far is Hyuk!

I really enjoyed it. It was different than I expected very intriguing. You should watch it and see for yourself.

i thought it was going to be a mediocre drama about idol but it was actually really intriguing to watch plus the actors are really freaking handsome. totally recommend!!!

Great acting with an amazing plotline! I loved how each character had their own story, with a great soundtrack! It got me to see how idols really live their lives, very refreshing!

I love how they changed up the storyline and I like the acting a lot! They really incorporated very serious issues as well that real idols also go through so it is nice to see what actually goes on behind the scenes. Hoping to see more of Hyuk since he is such a fun character!

I love how they showed the transparency of idol life and struggles that go along with it. It’s just the first episode yet it showed so much of the story. I love the actors, they brought the story to life really well. I can’t wait for the other episodes to air! Fighting ACTORTEEZ!!

this episode set the tone the right way, it isnt to cheery and not to seriousit introduced the character wellthe acting was good and i liked how the songs of the groups were used

I recommend this drama ! I'm only one episode in but i'm already so hooked in the plot and the acting ! Pls do give this drama a watch if you're a kpop lover and if you're curious to see a deeper story in an idol's life. (Note that this story is completely fictional and NOT based on real-life.)

Despite Imitation showing the woes of becoming an idol, the first episode gave us some very funny scenes. I am excited to watch it again and waiting for the next episode. I do wish it was easier for more countries to watch. Netflix would be amazing?

Few scene on the first ep make me cry already! And there are some where its funny and cute!!! So curious on the relationship between the male lead and female lead! Cant wait for the next episode ? lee junyoung fighting! Imitation fighting!

Even though this is ATEEZ’s first acting experience, I’m shocked on how natural they are. The first episode really showed a captivating story of the reality’s of idol life, which intrigued me. Can’t wait for the other episodes to air. ATEEZ fighting !!

I was thoroughly impressed with all of the actors. Everyone did a great job with their characters to start with and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here as well as how different they’ll make it from the webtoon.

At the beginning a through that it will be a cringed teen idol drama BUT it’s not. The plot is amazing, and it stick to the reality of what trainees and idols have to endure in their daily life. We can see the bright side and the dark side of the kpop industry, how they are dehumanised. Sometimes the first episode is nog that good and you carry on watch just because the synopsis seems cool but here since the very beginning your are emerged in the story. There is a lot of idols who aren’t actor in but they did really well, I wouldn’t notice if nobody tells me that this was their first drama !I recommend this drama !

I mean everyone did so well, but the fact this is Yunho’s first time acting is amazing!! Same with Jongho, Seonghwa, and San. I’m definitely hooked.
