Female characters - Im Sun, Mi Jin, Im Cheong - steal the thunder!
Having completed Emergency Couple a few months ago, I was excited to learn about Choi Jin Hyuk's new project Miss Night and Day.What I liked:
1) Pacing - I only started watching this show when it had already aired 6 episodes. So I binged all 6 episodes on a Sunday. Overall, I enjoyed the first 12 episodes of the series as it was refreshing, fast-paced.
2) Lee Jung Eun - It's wonderful to see her in a main role (loved her in Strangers from Hell, Fight for My Way)! Brilliantly cast. Despite the age discrimination against her, Im Sun is smart, capable and unintentionally funny.
3) Supporting characters - I really like Mi Jin's parents, Ko Won and Mr Ju. Jung Young Joo looked bold & beautiful in red lipstick. Delighted that Ko Won has some depth in the middle of the series.
4) Ageism - It's good to see a series that shows age discrimination especially now that most countries have ageing population. The scenes were hurtful but that's the reality of our society.
5) Songs - I love the theme song She's back by The Vane as it is more rock-ish. I also like BOYSNEXTDOOR's Lucky Charms - it's so Im Sun!
What I disliked:
1) Romance - I didn't like pairing of Mi Jin and Ji Ung because I didn't feel much spark between the characters. Because of the body swapping, I see Mi Jin and Im Sun as 2 separate characters. I'd rather see Mi Jin and Ko Won as a romantic pair.
2) Writing - Since I like Ko Won a lot, I was disappointed that he didn't get much screen time after the confession. I am also frustrated by the mystery part of this series because last quarter of series was saturated with many arcs - murder mystery (wah the red herring), romance, body swap dilemma.
Favourite scene:
When Ko Won covered Mi Jin as she transformed into Im Sun.

Happy end

I really loved this K-drama.
I just finished episode 13, and I’m writing this review while watching the K-drama because I forget what I watched after I finish it anyway. This K-drama is sooo underrated. The acting was so good!! The male lead actor—I think I've seen him somewhere before—and his acting is so good to me, as well as the female lead!! I will definitely find their past K-dramas.Let’s start with some things I liked. I liked that they included something about what idols go through, showing that even people with money can have a difficult life. The plot, I think, is something new (with the grandma and returning to herself), and while the murder aspect isn’t something new, this K-drama was hella funny to me!! I had so much laughter! Also, the friend of the female lead—I loved her character so much. It made me happy that she was the first to know about the female lead’s secret. There isn’t anything else that comes to mind to add at the moment.
Some things I didn’t like: Why are Netflix writers always trying to sneak in a love triangle even though it’s clear who the end game is?? There was no need! I wish they would have made the second male lead have a relationship with the female lead’s friend. I don’t know if I am right, but until now, isn’t he basically stalking the female lead? (Kinda.) Unnecessary again! The start of the K-drama was good, but halfway through, it had a downfall, and then as it goes to the end, it starts to become fine. I hate how the male lead and female lead can’t communicate. I am damn sure if they had a proper conversation, they could have gotten closer faster. I hate how writers always use the trope of the main characters getting drunk to communicate. Can’t they do it normally? Lastly, why is it that in these types of situations in K-dramas, the male lead always finds out on his own?? Can’t you just tell him? (Of course, it’s not that deep.)
My opinion on episode 13: I was not surprised by the plot twist, but I did not suspect her at all.
Ohhh, I love the female lead's friend!!!! She is so supportive, and the fact that she comforted the female lead and encouraged her to tell everything?! Makes me love her even more. But the only thing I don’t like is that they made her fall in love with the (I don’t know his name) male lead’s friend. Like, the main actor for the male lead seems older, but not in a bad way, but the male lead’s friend seems to be in his 50s?? Are we being for real?!
Finished. I like the ending. I am happy that every important character got their ending, and we saw it. The only disappointment for me is the male lead’s friend and the female lead’s friend. It just doesn’t go together. He seems to be in his 50s, and she seems to be in her 30s or even younger. I really loved this K-drama. It deserves more recognition.

Did I love it? Yes! Do I love it if I bench watch it ? No !
While watching weekly even simple mystery romance show became fun ? and i didn't care about the final episodes flaw because I had good time for whole time so I forgived. If I bench watch my whole mode is set in beginning and ending which in this case both are super rookie ?. Since first episode is not explaining story or character it developed gradually and ending also did in a rushed way but in okay fashion.
Romance is little under utilisation because couple had a charm to me and second lead had no major role if you ask me.
Joke and mystery save the show. I really loved the show so excitly waited every weekend and the mystery was good ? instead of being there as source of fun they took it seriously.
I would recommend but don't watch it in one day because it will definitely lead into disappointing towards ending ?

story plot is great, chemistry is off
I love the story concept. it's unique and refreshing. both actresses playing it well I love their acting. I dont know why and how but I really cant feel the chemistry of the main love interests. it's so off. I think they dont have enough build up because the girl can only became her true self at night. or i dont know honestly, i just think it's so unfortunate that the love story doesnt interest me. but overall, the story plot other than the love story is interesting!Cet avis était-il utile?

Give it a Chance: Slow to Start-This Show Steals your Heart
It's slow at first. They are setting a dreary mood for sure ep 1-3, by episode 3 ending it warms up and the episode sets the pace. It has a plot that is cute and has those witty extras - the sub plot keeps a slow and steady interest. EP 5, So far the gruesome stuff hasnt repeated, and you see wheels turning in the prosecutors head, how much does he know... bonus look up the cast their ages add to the quirky humor of the producers.Cet avis était-il utile?

Very entertaining crime comedy drama
I enjoyed this drama very much.though a known genre of body swapping. Its different as two fls swap their bodies here.both fls did amazing job.humour was situational. Amuzing to watch choi jin hyuk in drama with comedy touch.his self talk in mumbling serious tone give my stomach giggles. Fls friend and mls investigator colleague also added their own comedic element. Though a murder mystery plot, very humourous script.a little twist was there as compared to usual murder mystery k drama killers identity. Don't watch if u want pure crime investigation drama with serious plot.Cet avis était-il utile?
Not worth the time
This drama has a really dumb female lead. I mean she's practically mentally challenged. I know with cultural differences this may be more normal for some. But, it's really difficult to watch. She can't complete one sentence. She mumbles. The romance makes no sense because he's an intelligent prosecutor and she has a brain of a five year old. Where can there be an attraction?? The older female lead does a much better job portraying a human woman. She's actually funny and her parts are usually the only ones worth the time. Of course if you want something so stupid that it's funny, this could be for you. Everyone looks for something different. And some people may think this is funny. I don't. I'm very disappointed because the idea had merit.Cet avis était-il utile?

Mi Jin is on the verge of reaching thirty but has yet to crack her dream civil service job. In the process, she gets scammed and bumps into Prosecutor Gyu, who is harboring a dark secret in his sleeve.Review
What is the benefit of working so hard?
This is the question Mi-Jin asks herself when she fails the civil service examination again. In her last ten years, she did nothing other than study for it. But all she got in return was to hear that she is in her thirties now, without any experience, so getting a job is difficult. Her best friend Chon Hui is her only confidante. Her never-ending plight takes an unprecedented turn when she finds herself in the body of a fifty-year-old woman every morning and only returns to her true self at night. In between a serial killer is on the loose.
Helmed by Strong Girl Bong Soon director Lee Hyung Min, the story is a perfect blend of romantic comedy with a big dose of horror. Mi Jin is strong and has an effervescent attitude. Even in the darkest hour of her life, she chose to live. This is where director Lee plays his cards. He never makes the story monotonous and cold. In the process of looking for the serial killer, Prosecutor Gyu and Mi Jin form a bond and even find solace in each other. The journey of love is not cliche but resonates with the life of this genre. The mother of Mi Jin resembles Bong Soon- she wants to see her daughter settled and is unaware of her true condition. They are sweet but self-centric. A supportive yet spineless father and an unannounced second lead in the form of idol Jo Won make the tale intricate and intriguing.
Reply 1997 girl Eun Ji is brilliant as the night girl Mi Jin. Her banter with her friend, feeling attracted to the charming prosecutor - the girl brings out all effortlessly as always. Lee Jin Eun as fifty-year-old Lim Sun- the alternate identity of Mi Jin is the twist of the tale. The woman who mostly dons the character of a helpless mother has brought out the invisible kitty from her bag. Her enactment of the twenty-eight-year-old in body of fifty is hilarious and melancholic. Jin Hyuk as prosecutor Gye is remarkable. The man is one of the versatile actors in the Korean drama case. He knows what he is doing. He is effortlessly hot and equally cold - which is needed for this dark role. The supporting cast adds humor mostly, but Byung Hee Ajushhi is the cherry on top.
Conclusion
Korean drama directors always do brilliant in bringing out supernatural stories. This Miss Day and Night is no different again. A fantasy element packed in delving into solving a cold crime case is not just magnificent but more than that.

Nice at first, but the story seems getting different
I was excited to watch the drama since it was fun watching clips in tiktok. Yet as the episodes go by, it's getting boring. I felt like Lim Sun and Lee Mi Jin has different personalities or different person. I felt like when Mi Jin appears, Lim Sun seems gone, like they act like different person when they supposed to be somewhat act like a same person. Also kinda shock who really is the kill*r, yet I felt like it doesn't make any sense of her to kill someone. How she could kill that disable senior. They didn't give a reason why. How a person with experience of killing 4 people can be easily defeated, also how Mi Jin just left him hanging. How he wanted her. Kinda also weird how he couldn't sense that Lim Sun is Mi Jin and took years to know.
Also I couldn't understand why, how did she change and how did she change back completely. Also kinda annoyed how they didn't give more screen time of Mi Jin and Ji Ung dating. I'm still annoyed. But the cat seems like added without any reason who really it is, but the cat is cute, the pouch looks like going to touch the ground while walking.

EP 12
Ep 12- Why are they transporting Mijin to a hospital, when she was already in a hospital? ?? I am so confused. Like what is the reason for that? She was already in the basement of a hospital, all they had to do was walk her upstairs. Where is the logic? Instead they put her in an ambulance and cart her off to a different hospital, Delaying any treatment she would possibly need. Who directed this Episode? I am absolutely baffled and confused. Still this show has a good storyline, just a weird choice.Cet avis était-il utile?
