Duty vs Dreams

The fight scene between the father and the son gave me goosebumps...it hit me really hard. The existential crisis caused by the dilemma of having to choose between your responsibilities or your dreams is so painfully relatable.

Are my emotional cords tingling?

I mean it was going well as is but that ending?Lol it’s so nice to watch a drama without any knowledge about the plot, I knew the basics “music” and deafness, but woah got a bit tired after the fight , so I didn’t focus until he said appa , and I thought ah finally the two mls meet and he had his dads name, but it was his dadI did not know this was a time traveling drama and his dad liked music too and no wonder the coupling didn’t make sense, and I saw 2ml with a deaf girl, but I legit thought they were all in the same school and slowly gonna meet cuz ml became a hit with his bandBut now he’s gonna be in a band with his dad and that deaf girl is his mom and his love interest is that, NOOOO WAIT! Cello!!! Nooooooooooooooooooo that’s the mom? His love interest is the mom? The daughter of his mentor? The lady that gave him the guitar??Tho I mean this can be my dream 3 leads non in a romantic relationship together, and his real love/destiny is the granddaughterBut lol dudesss when he went into the house of the daughter, I thought if this was a weird drama they’d make them love interestsAnd as I was writing “his love interest is that cello girl everyone loves” then I remembered the cello lady saying her daughter is popular and loved by all plot twist after plot twistI enjoy this unexpectednesssssss I actually thought his brother had a thing for the cello girl whom I didn’t know was in the past, and all three would pin for her but faith in writers is restored that not only the stalker isn’t gonna become romantic , there’s no sibling fightSoooo funnnnnnnnnnn

Breakdown And Resonance

Sigh.

Sometimes, I like to imagine myself as a snobby, world-renowned appraiser who would look down on every other acclaimed "masterpiece" in such an immense lack of interest, trying to show off how high my standards are and how hard it is to even come close to meeting them, yes, I have a wild imagination that runs me down sometimes, but that depiction is far, far away from my real self.
But if it were true, this episode would have been the one gem to shatter my expressionless snarl and send me into an exclamation spree.
I might just retire.

Now, the above may not have made any kind of sense, but that just shows how speechless I was left at the start, during, and at the end of this episode. As if the pilot was not evident enough, this was the golden trophy in bright daylight.

I think this might be the best K-drama, or even Asian drama when it comes to "acting", and I mean it in the literal meaning when I say that. The expression, the animated faces, shaky movements, the voice cracks, everything is just spectacular. This is a new high for the medium to me.

Now, I have started to put up a few plot threads together during the last episode, and it became even clearer as this one continued, so I kind of saw the plot twist coming, and I wish I hadn't because the delivery would have been even more mind-blowing for me, however, the acting has taken me aback. And this might end up being my favorite show ever.

Spoiler alert EP 2 !!

A life decision to pursue his happiness with…

A life decision to pursue his happiness with music or be the golden son. That made me cry as his decision has made him have an argument with his father who relies on him so much
