My First Love
Hu Yeong comes back to Korea and goes on a blind date that Joseph set up for him. There, he runs into Hong Ju. Upon hearing Hu Yeong’s return to Korea, Hye Ji plans a welcome party for him. However, Hong Ju turns up drunk, sharing all sorts of things Hu Yeong didn’t expect to hear.

this is my second time with this actor's blank face, dead fish eyes & chemistry-less partnership in Kdrama. SHE DESERVED BETTER WTF KPRODUCERS

Why is he so cute?! Ahhhhhh. Also, not him loving her while she was just tryna hook him up with her friend! 🙃 I’m so here for this storyline though. Okay. Their interaction at the end, v cute. He’s so in loveeee. And wait? Does she live above him?! Good first episode. Need more!

Oh wow! This episode was so romantic it made me squeal with joy. Serendipity’s Embrace feels like a perfect rom-com drama at a time when there is a dearth in the genre. It is a shame that the show only has 8 episodes in total and I wish the makers stuck to the 16-episode format because the chemistry between the main leads is extremely palpable.The episode ended with Hu-yeong telling Hong-ju that the frozen food was thawing but everyone watching the show understood what he meant. Hu-yeong is telling Hong-ju that his feelings of love for her have started thawing already and he is falling for her all over again. Chae Jeong-yeop is a treat to the eye and his smile is making my heart flutter. Our ‘Potato Boy’ from Nevertheless has come a long way! Kim So-hyun is perfect as Hong-ju and I am looking forward to the romance between her and Jeong-yeop’s character – Hu-yeong in the episodes to come. Hye-ji does have feelings for Hu-yeong but the bond she shares with Sang-pil is giving enemies to lovers energy and I am seated for them to turn into a side couple as the show progresses. From the first episode itself, this show has me hooked and I cannot wait for the next episode!

It's been so long since a kdrama has felt like this!! I haven't been this excited to watch the next episode, while watching the first one, since Lovely Runner!

Love the story and the characters. Love, love, love the pining, longing looks from the male lead. I also adore the FL's character. She's fun and loud and honest and funny. Looking forward to more.
