Great acting and direction
This drama really sets of the hearts of Xianxia lovers. This drama has a great storyline and good direction. This production values, artistry and beauty is sick as expected from high valued drama. Yes, it does give the Love and Redemption/Ashes of Love vibe, but that is a positive as those dramas had amazing storyline and production value. The acting really wins it for this drama as the facial expression and emotions are so well displaced. The emotions feels so realistic that you don't feel like it's acting and that is why you will definitely cry every time they cry as well. I hear people complain about the the CGI, but it is definitely good enough as it still sets off the beautiful Xianxia world. Did Journey to the West use great CGI work? Did any of the past great dramas need great CGI work to keep us engaged?Cet avis était-il utile?
Captivating story
This drama is such a heartbreak as it portrays a very classic Xianxia love story. I have to give credit to the actors for portraying their characters way too well as the sad moments were so emotional and real. I don't think I have seen a Xianxia drama with better acting than this one. It is not slow pace so it keeps the viewer's interest very well and does not get draggy so far. The story gets intense pretty quickly and there is a lot of hardships that both the leads go through. With that said, there is a bit comedy to this. The scenes show happy and cheerful memories that both the leads share together. It is a good mix of both.Cet avis était-il utile?

Boring
all xianxia elements in one drama ? no plot… if u start understand whats going another element appear like bomb ? and 70 episodes ? dropping… and acting ? no expression… everywhere same… leads has a no chemistry… i watched lots of xianxia and as a fan of xianxia really disappointing ? review need a 500 characters thats why writing ? otherwise there is nothing i can describe about drama ?? it’s literally nothing to watch… u can just watch when u don’t able to sleep, u will probably sleep ???Cet avis était-il utile?
Must Watch!
Anyone who watches this drama will know what I mean when I say that it is so addicting. I recommend to anyone who like historical drama or Xianxia drama, because it has a very good intense storyline that puts your emotions up and down. The main leads are great at expressing emotion. If you like, Eternal love or Ashes of love :)CGI is also really beautiful. There is one scene that looks very pretty and nice with CGI.
So far, it is definitely a top Xianxia drama for me. It is definitely comparable to the top Xianxia dramas and if you like those you will be not disappointed. THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

I’ve been waiting for months for this drama and even read the novel while waiting. It definitely fulfilled all my expectations and fixed a lot of the original novel’s flaws and made the storyline overall much better. The storyline is perfectly paced and there’s no drag or filler in any of its episodes. I love Cheng Yi and Yan Dan’s acting and their chemistry is top notch. Both main characters have a good character depth and for why they fell for each other and willing to make sacrifices for each other that make sense unlike some dramas I’ve watched where the main cp fall for each other without making sense or just extremely fast paced. Best cdrama ever!!
I love this,the story line, the suspense, the build up of romance between FL and ML.I must also mention how the FL and ML are my favourite Chinese actors.I have a feeling it’s gonna end brilliantly and not to mention there’s a second part.As long as I’m aware there’s a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait to finish.I recommend this cdrama to everyone cause it’s great! I bc ace a strong feeling this dramas gonna blow up and I mean it I’ve never been so sure in my life!Im on my break and I know I’m not gonna be bored as there’s the greatest cdrama ahead of me!All the actors are exceptional and so are the graphics.I absolutely love the cast as there is a mix of The Love and Redemption cast and the Ashes of love cast.I’m going to say again this is something o recommend to everyone! Best Xianxia 2022
This drama is soooooo good! The visuals and theme of the drama is so pretty. The CGI is pretty good overall, but there could be better lighting/coloring done to make it more vibrant. YZ and CY were picked perfectly for this drama as no other actor or actress could have done it better than them! The acting is impressive and full of sensation. Definitely Xianxia queen and king! Love Xianxia!
This drama gives similar vibes to Eternal love and Ashes of Love, meaning that you can expect it to be another big hit. This drama portrays a funny and witty female lead with a more serious male lead. The matching is perfect as their love story really represents a beautiful story. The acting is great as the leads clearly portray such emotion with their actions and words. Their crying scenes really makes your heart ache as that goes with Xianxia dramas. The\ costumes are so pretty and the hair/makeup on YZ are also delicate and pretty. It really makes you want to wear one for yourself lol. The ending ost is too good as well. I've been listening to the 1 hour verison on youtube and I never skip the ending song. Xianxia typically have a lot of tears, so prepare your tissues!Cet avis était-il utile?
Good so far
I watched for the female lead, because it reminded me of Ashes of Love and it really like it so far. It's similar, but I feel like this is a little faster pace than that one. I think the love story is worth watching if you like an emotional rollercoaster with tears and laughter. It will probably be my favorite Xianxia of the year.-very suspenseful (addicting)

I can't see anthing new
Really. There's nothing new here. If I'm going to watch this for the first time, it is not bad but I can't help and conpare it to Ashes ofLove and Love and Redemption because IT IS SO SIMILAR! The casts says it all. Anyways it's actually fine to see something that it similar but for some reason, the plot here is a "little" worse? Probably because of the villain and the sister? It seems their IQ is so low and they have nothing better to do than chase the so called love. Ughhh ?Cast lineup is good. Acting is of course good. That's yang zi and cheng yi, both veterans of their field. Other casts are also veteran. They wasted resources and potential for this.
This was supposed to be one of my highly anticipated xianxia drama.

10 stars. [the ml and fl acted so incredibly. I loved their facial expressions and banter during the series. The side characters acted amazing as well.] {the plot was amazing and throughly planned & didn’t feel rushed at all. I loved how there was different stories in the series but they all came together and connected with one another in a certain manner that didn’t feel a lot. If you have not watched much of Chinese xianxia fantasy dramas, you should absolutely watch this.
YanDan and ZhiXi were the human transformation of and the only surviving members of the Four-leaves Lotus which had great medicinal value. YanDan had a tiff with the Heavenly Lord YingYuan, God of War when she discovered that he had been bullying a turtle in the garden, flipping him over every time he saw it. Unfortunately she was sent to serve him in his palace.A war broke out between the immortals and the demons. It was a bloody war and YingYuan returned seriously wounded although victorious. YingYuan knew that he was not going to survive and left his palace to die alone in the forest, so that he would not harm anyone when he went crazy. Fate had it that YanDan would find him already blinded in the forest and nursed him while hiding her real identity. She found out that the heart of the Four-leaves Lotus, of which she was one, would save him and decided to carve out half of her heart to do so. YingYuan knew this healing method earlier and had resisted it.
The immortal realm had a rule that immortals were not fall in love. Breaking this rule brought about severe punishment. Unfortunately for YingYuan and YanDan, the jealous fairy YingDeng who wanted YingYuan for herself was always around to sabotage them. To save YanDan from punishment, YingYuan had to play along very often with the scheming fairy YingDeng to stop her from spilling the truth about them. Part 1 of the drama continued onto Part 2.
I am surprised that Part 1 was rated better than Part 2, although I think Part 2 was more interesting after YanDan was banished to the mortal realm. She forgot who she was and called herself Bai Piao Liang.
Part 1 was very stale and more of the same to me. It was too much like the Ashes of Love where Yang Zi (YanDan) was the female lead, Love and Redemption where ChengYi (YingYuan) was the male lead and some of the earlier Chinese xianxia (fairytale) fantasy dramas. The moods, settings, some scenes and even the title of the drama were too much like these earlier dramas. For example YanDan crossing the WangChuang (River to Forget) reminded me of Ji Mi (Yang Zi) crossing the river to the demon realm to visit Xu Feng (DengLun) in Ashes of Love. There was also a jealous love rival who actively sabotaged - Sui He in Ashes of Love and YingDing in this drama. Part 1 was very emotional but did nothing much for me as it was mainly about one of the lover pretending and pushing away the other while one of them clinged on, so the chemistry between them was almost non-existent. Similarly the character Si Feng in Love and Redemption was always pushing away Xuan Ji - a similar situation of forbidden love. It was draggy, and all about deceit and hiding the truth - a lot of them were very annoying to me.
When the other party pushed one away, one should learn to move on, especially when so little was committed from the other person, regardless whether they reciprocated in their hearts and said nothing.
I will continue with my assessment in Part 2 for the rest of the drama.
However, if you have not watched Ashes of Love and much of Chinese xianxia fantasy dramas, or like to re-live those stories, you will enjoy this drama tremendously. A good drama to get you introduced to the world of Chinese fantasy dramas.
